21/01/2026: We only discovered Kumar's in the last year, but soon regarded it as one of the best restaurants in town. Every meal until recently was very authentic and tasty. However, the last meals we had this year were not good at all. The starter seemed like it had been reheated or refried, and the curries were bland and very over-salted. And this is coming from someone who likes their salt! Worse still, both curries had long strips of raw ginger in them. Maybe this was meant as a kind of dressing or topping, but it's the first we've ever come across it. Raw ginger is a bit like raw garlic - it's quite pungent and very distracting in a curry. I'm guessing the ginger might be added to provide a burst of flavour in a curry, but it needs to have some bit of cooking or heating so that it isn't overpowering. I would make a confident bet that the chef in question was filling in for the regular chef, who has probably returned home for a holiday for a month or so over the Christmas/new year period. That's fair enough, but any replacement chef should be capable of seasoning dishes appropriately and perhaps holding back on the root ginger! The experience has meant that we will probably never eat at Kumar's again.

05/01/2026: Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Food quality was shockingly poor. The samosas tasted like they were made with frozen, stale meat and had a strong unpleasant smell. Biryani was one of the worst I have ever had.. it was dry, no flavor and completely inedible. We couldn’t even eat a few bites. chicken dishes were equally bad with meat that clearly wasn’t fresh. On top of the terrible food, the service made it worse. The staff were rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in customer feedback. It felt like a complete waste of money and our day spoiled. For anyone in Galway, especially Irish/European visitors, this is not authentic Indian food by any standard. Please avoid this place.

14/03/2026: The nicest staff. It's mothers day tomorrow, so I decided to get Indian/Pakistani food to celebrate for my wife. I got take away for the family and we just love Khan Tandoori. The chicken tikka masala is outrageously good and my wife demands this dish. I love the bhuna and balti and of course the garlic naan. Tremendous value for what you pay. We've eaten from this place for many years, never disappoints.

31/01/2026: Visited Khan Tandoori in Navan and had a very disappointing experience. We were the only customers in the restaurant, yet still waited around 45 minutes for service. During that time, we weren’t even offered water. The high chair provided for my child was unclean with old food particles stuck on it. When I pointed this out, staff only picked off the visible bits instead of properly cleaning it — I had to clean it myself. Poor hygiene and extremely slow service. Definitely would not recommend.

20/02/2026: We ordered for collection, the gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and we got the order in 20 minutes. Everything as ordered for a very reasonable price. The flavours were wonderful and portion sizes more than plenty. Not sure what these negative comments are about.

05/01/2026: One of the worst Biryani we ever tasted in Ireland. The rice was grainy, no taste at all and chicken was under cooked. Oily prawn fry and not so tasty chicken tikka. The portion size was small but the price was expensive. Have a second thought before trying this restaurant!!

21/02/2026: The Delivery service and customer service is a joke, Rang for a delivery at 5.45 and told delivery would be 50 mins, no problem, 2 Hours later 7.45 rang to be told its 5 mins away, rang back at 8.20 to cancel it and got a dog on the Phone who has no customer service skills or manners, never would i recommend this place or darken the door again, (Edit) then get a phonecall at 8.43 for the Eircode to deliver the food 😂

15/03/2026: It was not good waited 45 mins for 3 dishes asked for no veg in both and still added it waiter said when she sat us down she would come with the cups and said she still has to wash them would not recommend this

14/03/2026: Splendid, tried a couple of curries, naan and papad - everything was absolutely delicious! Ordered via Just Eat, waited even less than was expected. Would definitely order again

03/03/2026: Greta service and Greta atmosphere, the manager and super accommodating. Friendly and made sure we were looked after the whole time! Good was gorgeous.

26/02/2026: This our regular family spot for dinner..staff are so attentive. They remember you as friends. Very friendly for kids. We usually go for early bird as it is less busy. Food is always amazing. Never had a bad meal. This will always be top of the list. Take away option comes served just as well as sit in meal.

04/01/2026: Decided to give this establishment giving the positive reviews but my god what an absolute disappointment. Food arrived cold, sweaty and needed to get reheated. Chicken madras sauce was watery, cold and tasteless absolutely disgusting. The naan bread was overcooked and cold. The chips were cold, sweaty and undercooked. Very disappointed with the food and more importantly, the food should never have to be reheated. 70% of of a near €30.00 order had to be binned, the best place for it in my opinion.

16/02/2026: Ordered for delivery and it was meant to arrive at 20:30, it’s now 21:30 and the restaurant won’t answer any of my calls, please tell me my food is almost here???!!! Edit: our food came at 21:50: was about to cycle to the restaurant to see what the story was when it arrived. Awful experience to have. If the delivery is going to be over an hour late, at least call/connect your phone lines or at least offer any sort of apology/discount.

13/12/2025: A few of us went here for the early bird deal. All our meals and starters were delicious and the poppodoms with dips were unreal. Also, the naan was the best naan I’ve ever had! I had the Saag, highly recommend! We will be back.
