08/08/2026: Spent €45 on a takeaway from this restaurant for the first time. They charged us €6.80 for FOUR small bits of chicken pakora!! Ordered 2 portions of chips at the cost of over €7 and they only gave us one portion and even then it looked like a half portion at best not to mention not even cooked properly. Even the Tikka Masala and Korma looked like half portions. Sorry but for this amount of money id expect a hell of a lot better. Will definitely not be back to this place!!!

12/09/2026: Lovely food but if you order on Friday or Saturday then be prepared for a long wait if ordering online. That gives you a time when the order will be ready (25 minutes in our case) but, as previously, it's now 50 minutes and still waiting, the last 20 spent standing in their shop

30/08/2026: Very disappointing experience. The food arrived cold, which was already frustrating, so I called the restaurant simply to ask a few questions and clarify something about red onion. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and raised his voice at me. I was only trying to ask a few simple questions, but he made me feel like an idiot for even asking. His attitude became defensive and offensive instead of trying to help resolve the issue. I asked for his name, but he refused to give it to me. I then asked if he was the owner, and rather than dealing with my complaint professionally, he simply said, “Have a good day.” The whole experience was very poor,from receiving cold food to the rude and disrespectful customer service. Customers should be able to raise a genuine issue without being spoken down to or shouted at. Based on this experience, I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place. There are plenty of other places where both the food and the customer service are treated with much more care and respect.

17/03/2026: The masala was far too sweet. The rosgh was good, but there was no noticeable difference between the cheese and the garlic naan. However, it was very quick.

02/02/2026: All the menu items we tasted was weirdly sweet. Just sweet. I have no idea how everything tasted the same kind of sweet, be it paneer, baingan, or even non veg curries. The only thing I liked was samosas. I would sadly not recommend this place to anyone with a spice palate.

19/08/2026: The songs playing here are very Indian, which my friend really liked. The fish was delicious, and the waitress is the owner's daughter; you can ask her anything you don't understand about the food.

10/09/2026: There are many restaurants in Limerick city, but I have always preferred dining at Bamboo because of its great taste and service. Yesterday, 9 September, was actually my 5th visit to Bamboo. As usual, I visited with my wife and daughter, and we ordered butter chicken and naan, which is my daughter’s favourite. I had also invited two friends, although initially they were not sure if they could make it. They joined us about 10 minutes after we arrived. When they arrived, I politely asked if we could move to a larger table. Unfortunately, the request was declined, even though the restaurant was very quiet at the time, with only around two tables occupied. I was told that the existing table was suitable for six people. However, initially the table had only been set with four plates, so the way this was communicated felt a little disrespectful and uncomfortable. Another thing I noticed was that, on our previous visits, we were always served papadums with three different chutneys, which we really enjoyed. This time, they were not offered to us, while I noticed another couple at a nearby table being served them. I am not sure why, and I didn't want to make an issue of it, so I chose not to ask. Our food, as always, was excellent. The butter chicken and naan were absolutely delicious. We ordered butter chicken, three butter naans, chicken chow mein/noodles and chicken soup for five people. Unfortunately, the service this time was very disappointing and, in my experience, the worst I have received at Bamboo. This is the first time I have ever felt this way about the restaurant, which is why I wanted to share the feedback. I genuinely like Bamboo and have returned five times because I enjoy the food, especially the butter chicken and naan. I hope the management will take this feedback positively and look into the service experience, because good food combined with good hospitality is what makes customers want to keep coming back.

Our food was delicious, the owner was super friendly and explained different dishes to us, he even taught us how to "properly" eat it when it came to our table. There were several people picking up to go orders and calling them in while we were there, and he managed the to go orders and in house customers very well. We never felt like we had to wait for attention. Highly recommend this place.

22/08/2026: We are in town on holiday and decided to stop in and try Green Spice as none of our group had ever had Indian food before. Mohammed was super friendly and took time to explain the dishes and help us decide what we want. Food was excellent! 10/10 recommend stopping in if you're in the area! If you've never had Indian food, this is the spot for first timers!

19/08/2026: The spice level was very good, a slight heat without burning the tastebuds. We did takeout which we found generous. It was good value for money. The adventure into Japanese tempura is not the best offering. But all Indian dishes were authentic.

19/07/2026: This is a tough place to do business with. They do good food but they treat you like dirt So your choice have a good meal and get treated terrible bad Or keep your dignity and wat else where

12/09/2026: My partner and I were part of a party of 6 for dinner. When the waitress came over I asked for a beer while we were waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. I was informed that they don't sell any alcohol in the restaurant. The waitress said I was welcome to go to the nearby Centra off license and bring beer back. I threaded my way through the winos and junkies along the quay and successfully returned with 6 bottles of Heineken. The staff were good enough to provide a bottle opener which saved me biting the top of the bottle with my teeth, phew! The food wasn't bad however one member of our group ordered chicken and got pork instead. I went to the loo only to find that after locking the bathroom door it would not unlock. I was trapped. I sent a text to my wife who came to the rescue. After sliding the key under the door she was able to unlock the door from her side. Free at last! As I returned to my table, I reported the issue to the first member of staff that I met. He heard what I said but ignored me and walked by me without responding. At no point did any member of staff ask us how was the food or did we need anything. Be warned also, the restaurant is cash only and does not accept electronic payment. I would definitely not return or recommend to anyone else.

05/09/2026: Have eaten here a few times; the food is normally okay, although I would not call it authentic Indian. The manager (male) is very rude and has a really gruff manner. I thought it was just with me, but my wife had a similar experience. And we won't be going back.
