20/07/2025: I ordered the "kebab box" from this establishment and got a small box mostly filled with chips. I returned to the shop to tell them I didn't order chips and that chips were not in the description of the "kebab box" only to be told that of course chips are included in the kebab box. Doesn't seem logical to me, would avoid.

24/05/2025: The pepperoni pizza was of really good quality. As the pizza sauce had a nice, smoky flavour, which I liked. They weren't mean with the toppings, as there was plenty of cheese and pepperoni on my 10 inch pizza. The pizza was delivered on time and the two ladies delivering also were really kind, as they were smiling, which means that they have good service. I gave 0 starts for the atmosphere, as I got delivery and I haven't actually been to the restaurant, which will be unfair to rate it, so I just left it at 0 stars.

20/06/2025: This used to be one of the best indians around, it's been a couples months since we had it but my god this is literally the worst food we have had in years.. horrible. The so called "korma" was a tub of yogurt and the "butter chicken" wasn't butter chicken... 0/10 €35 for two meals of prison food... Shocking

06/06/2025: This place used to be my go-to, but tonight was so disappointing. The food (takeaway collection) was cold, dripping with oil and had no flavour. For the price we paid, we won't be returning.

14/08/2025: Ordered food to pick up. Sauce in the saag tasted pre heated, gloopy texture and not fresh. Not much flavour apart from some spice. Rice also didn't taste fresh, snd wasn't fluffy, the texture made it seem re-heated. Disappointing as I used to go there when I was younger. Oh well, will have to try another.

04/08/2025: As an Indian customer, my recent dining experience in Waterford presented some areas for improvement. While the restaurant's ambiance was pleasant, the service fell short of expectations. Specifically, we were not promptly offered water upon seating, and the waiter took an extended period to take our order, without exhibiting a welcoming demeanor. Additionally, the table setting was incomplete, and our request for cold beverages was delayed. The incorrect curry was served, though we acknowledge our oversight in not identifying it sooner. The billing process was also slow, although the staff member at the counter was accommodating and addressed our concerns, resulting in a €3 reduction. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place to an Indian as they would focus on people with great status for tips. They would just make a fool out of an Indian with the hilarious prices. The food was great but the service was terrible.

20/06/2025: Absolutely terrible experience. We walked in at 9:55 PM — the restaurant clearly states online and on the door that it closes at 11 PM. There were only two people dining, so it wasn’t busy. We were asked if we had a reservation (strange, considering the place was nearly empty), and when we said no, the man at the counter tutted, checked his phone, and spoke in another language to a colleague — clearly about us, and not politely. He then informed us the kitchen was closed, even though the other diners were just being served their mains. The attitude from the staff was absolutely appalling — dismissive, rude, and unwelcoming. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere it’s actually appreciated. With customer service like this, I doubt they’ll stay open much longer. My advice is change your opening times and perhaps staff need a refresher in hospitality customer service.

19/05/2025: Had a wonderful dinner tonight and received excellent service from Sam and the staff. Dinner was served promptly, preceded by tasty appetizers, the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Sadly they are not opening a restaurant in my home town in Canada. I’ll have to return. 10/03/2025: Food from Chutni has always been incredible however, the lack of follow up from the establishment after one of their drivers was threatening to my friend for parking in a public car park is horrific. I have contacted Chunti twice in relation to this, both times being promised the owner will contact me but after 6+ weeks I have yet to hear from them. Their driver threatened to have my friends car clamped because she parked in the public car park, much further down from the establishment. I explained to him that having lived in the area for 20 years - a clamping agency has never been employed/ enforced there. There are also no signs up within the car park stating clamping is in operation also. The establishment staff assured me that there is no clamping agency enforced in the car park, advising me that the driver only works for them every so often - which is untrue as he is seen there almost daily when they are open. Really disappointed in how they have responded to this. If it was a group of males the driver would have minded his own business however, he decided to intimidate young girls, one who is also heavily pregnant.

16/08/2025: I decided to take a gamble on their limited edition special at the moment, the naan lamb kebab, it didn’t disappoint at all, full of flavour, and only €8

27/07/2025: Me and my partner first went to the other restaurant in portlaoise at first because I stopped going there so we would try the other restaurant star of India in thurles we ordered our starter my partner's food wasn't great no taste mine was nice and then the man come out I ordered a chicken tikka masala so did my partner but it was very bland tasteless and it was not a red colour more like a orangery colour so I will not be going there again

06/09/2025: Always had decent food from here but for the last few weeks I’ve been ordering delivery always get told it will be 30 to 40 minutes (bare in mind I live in the town) on 3 separate occasions now the delivery has taken over 1 hour and 40 minutes almost 2 hours food delivered cold and wasn’t the correct order always something either missing or not included not happy and won’t be back and will make sure others don’t aswel 👍

04/09/2025: Ordered twice from here before on a Tuesday/Wednesday for collection and the food was always ready on time. The food is the best Indian food I've had by far - I'd say even the best take away food in general. I ordered the Bombay Aloo, Palak Paneer and plain Naan which was all just delicious. We also had the Chicken Tikka, garlic Naan and Pilau rice which was also delicious. The food was very fresh and hot, very flavourful, looks good and carefully prepared. The portion sizes are big so we had enough for another full meal each the next day and it all tasted very delicious even the next day. Amazing value for money. I see some bad reviews but I can only praise this place, we were impressed with the food every time.
