15/02/2026: I was in for a meal on saturday the 14th of february.i was treated very badly.staff was very rude.waiting for 45 mins for a starter and came out cold.when we asked why was this handed out cold,and we were spoken too like this didnt matter.i would definetly not recommend this place to no one as its overrated and false advertisment to the public

09/05/2026: I got the set meal for 2 (not all for me), and I tried the onion bhaji, seekh kebab, chicken tikka, samosa, and a little bit of lamb for starters, which were very good overall. I got the chicken tikka masala, pilau rice, chips, and peshwari naan for myself, which was excellent. The value is really good, as well as the quantity, and the variety of everything I had blended incredibly well. A slight tweak would make it even better though. The naan bread should have had a bit more peshwari in it, the samosa was nice but could have been slightly less doughy, and the meat has great flavour and taste, but without sauce it can be a bit dry, so get enough sauce. Overall, I would say it was delicious and very filling. I’d order again for sure.

17/03/2026: The masala was far too sweet. The rosgh was good, but there was no noticeable difference between the cheese and the garlic naan. However, it was very quick.

02/02/2026: All the menu items we tasted was weirdly sweet. Just sweet. I have no idea how everything tasted the same kind of sweet, be it paneer, baingan, or even non veg curries. The only thing I liked was samosas. I would sadly not recommend this place to anyone with a spice palate.

04/05/2026: Collection orders and delivery orders can't be relied on for time. Collections are never ready on time. The prices have risen substantially over the years and portion sizes have reduced. At approximately €25 - €28 per person, the attention to time keeping is an area that can be improved upon without a consideration to costs.

03/05/2026: Food is gorgeous and good sized portions. Arrived hot and as ordered. It was quite late, and I feel the restaurant should be more transparent when it comes to delivery times. However, it was well worth the wait.

25/04/2026: It’s the first time we tried this restaurant. We ordered a Vegetable Biryani which wasn’t really good. They’ve added lot of food color to make it attractive. The taste was just average for the price. I wouldn’t recommend for Biryani. Hope they improve the taste and quality.

17/05/2026: If you are allergic to milk good luck! All meat plates have dairy. Got a vegan plate that I messed with my stomach, so most likely also contained dairy :(. The service was very nice but the food wasn't for me.

16/05/2026: One of the best spots for Indian food I’ve been. Although I’m not an experts but I highly recommend booking for a business dinner as is elegant, tasty and staff is super professional.

19/10/2025: My husband and I both love this restaurant: whether to eat in or take out, the quality of the food is top notch. The menu is extensive, and the prices are very reasonable for the portions given. The restaurant dining area is very cosy, dimly lit, but that adds to the atmosphere, as does the music. I think it's a pity that the dining area isn't full every night, but I feel that's partly due to the location (lovely though it is, being situated on the historic French Church Street), and the still-lingering after effects of Covid. The takeaway part is always busy, and there is a delivery or pick up option. If you love authentic Indian food, cooked well, and sold in decent-sized portions, then I recommend that you get yourself to The Great India for a treat for which your taste buds will thank you!

19/04/2026: This place seem to think they own all the parking spaces behind. The 'chef' rudely told me i couldnt park there!! Though he couldnt answer when i questioned did he own all the spaces!! Of course he doesnt. I parked there for many years! I have asked about and they are know for this behaviour!

16/04/2026: Fantastic Indian restaurant in the heart of Donegal town , great selection of curries that the waiters can tell you in detail what flavours you may prefer, quick and friendly service and a good atmosphere all around.

03/12/2025: Fake indian restaurant. Don't even know how to make aloo jeera. I said my mom had a fast please give me boiled potato with salt and cumin and no other spices. they said they can only make whats in the menu. Aaloo jeera was in the menu. 🤦

01/12/2025: 5 star food and fantastic staff always love to visit tulsi when in galway. Highly reccomend this restaurant.
