12/02/2025: We got a takeaway here last Saturday evening. We ordered two mains, one with rice, one chips and some garlic naan bread. First impressions were that it was a little overpriced at over €38 including delivery. we found the food very bland on top of it being just barely warm. Will not be returning.

15/05/2025: Have had food h many times here ,enjoy it ,but something has changed as went for site down meal and after 20mins waiting and going and asking for a menu I gave up and walked out ,more interested in take away than people who want to dine in

12/05/2025: I'm very sorry that I can't give less than 1 star. This place shouldn't be called a restaurant. Came back again after few years of first disappointment. Nothing better. I had to wait at an empty table for over 30 minutes after placing my order. No ordered drinks or complimentary snacks. Very slow service. Got my bottle of Cobra beer (€5 for sml bottle?) together with portion of pappadams and my starter at the same time. I love Indian food but food in this place that's disaster. Chicken mango curry taste like dessert ( extremely sweet), lamb curry a bit better except the rubbery meat. Small portions of curry very expensive with no rice included. Small cup of rice ( not enough for adult) extra €3.50. Pan fried naan bread looks more like roti or chapati very skinny and flat. Staff nor very friendly and not helpful at all. Our table was very messy, full of empty,unused and unwanted plates and glasses. The waiters didn't bother to remove them before they start serving our food and didn't clean the table when we finished. If I ordered dessert, I would have to hold the plate on my lap. At 10pm waiter told us that if we need anything else we have to order now as kitchen will be closed at 10.30pm. 10 minutes later I asked him if I can get 2 mango lassi for take away but he refused and said it was too late. Seriously? For 1 starter, 2 mains+ rice, small kids portion of curry and couple soft drinks had to pay over €80. I went home still a bit hungry. I won't go there again.

19/03/2025: Ate here twice over my weekend in Waterford and both nights were amazing - the food was so tasty and generous portions (we had to leave some behind sadly) Staff were so kind, attentive and accommodating - The second night i just wanted a starter and hadn't booked a table and they still made sure to fit me in to sit down and eat before the next booking arriving. Excellent value for money here too - overall i would HIGHLY recommend this place and i will definitely be back next time i'm on a trip to Waterford - thanks so much for a lovely experience :)

02/03/2025: If I could give 10 stars I would have done it. We loved it. 1. The place was fully booked, lucky us there was a cancellation so we could get a table. 2. The glass of red wine was 5.50 euros, I never had a glass of wine for 5.50 in Ireland. A reasonable price. 3. The food is fresh, delicious, big portions, yummy, and good-looking. 4. The prices are okay, it doesn’t force your budget. 5. Lovely, nice, talkable and friendly staff. 6. The restaurant is in the center of Waterford, with easy access.

06/04/2025: We ordered a takeaway dinner for two and overall, the food was quite enjoyable. The lamb kadai was flavorful, but the lamb royal was a bit bland. The chicken tikka lacked seasoning as well. Portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. Chips and naan were just okay, nothing special. I’d rate the experience 3.5 out of 5.

24/03/2025: We all enjoyed our food. We were a walk-in during the weekend and there were tables available. We were all stuffed too, so next time perhaps we don't need rice & naan. One minor complaint was the fact that we were sitting underneath the air conditioning vent which was blowing hot air directly onto me, so I was pretty uncomfortable for the meal.

18/03/2025: The food is tasty and above average. The ambience and service is what I loved the most. The portions are adequate enough. As an Indian I would go there for the vibes and service.

21/04/2025: Idk what the other people commenting on here are smoking, but this food was awful. Watered down soupy chicken tikka masala, dry pakoras, tasteless keema naan - the food here was objectively horrendous. Sure, the prices are good, but that’s because they cut corners and skimped on actual flavor. They just overload the dishes with spiciness to cover up the taste of their food. We have way better Indian takeaway in the area, I’d personally stay away from this place.

19/04/2025: We ordered the tasting meal for 2 take-away. We were on holidays in Dublin and just chanced it. We were delighted with the food as it was full of flavour, fresh and tasty and a good amount of it. We had the chicken Tikka Old Delhi Style and Seekh Kebab for starter and the lamb Korma and Punjabi style chicken Chana for Main. All very tasty, the dips and the naan were delicious too . Would definitely recommend and if I would live in Dublin, it would be definitely one to order from!

18/01/2025: We went to this restaurant tonight for a long overdue Indian meal, first impressions were good, the decor was nice and everything looked very clean. We were told that our table was by the window and was round, but if we wanted a different table we could change, we weren't shown to our table or made to feel overly welcome, but we didn't mind, the restaurant was warm, and quiet at the time and we were happy with the window seats. The young lady who was serving and seemed to be the only waiting staff was pleasant and friendly, she brought menus and took our drink orders. We perused the menu which was quite small and not a lot of choice, but the basics were there, to my disappointment there were no karahi dishes listed, I was really looking forward to enjoying my favourite dish, but had to decide on something else, we decided to order poppadoms and dips for starters, which turned out to be approx 7 quarter size poppadoms and a teeny tiny shallow 2 inch bowl of onion salad, definitely not enough for 3 people (I did ask our waitress if we should order more than 1 between us and she said no) and a bit miserable considering that they were just under 5 euros, this was very disappointing as I was expecting at least three dips, just the standard cucumber raita, some mango chutney and onion salad, I would have happily paid a bit extra if these were provided, but my usual Indian restaurant provides poppadoms and 3 dips gratis and serve them immediately on arrival. For the main I chose lamb bhuna, whilst my two companions ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken tikka jalfreizi respectively, we ordered 2 servings of pilau rice, 1 garlic naan and 1 plain naan The waiting time for the main to arrive was considerable, but not to the point of complaining. The portions when they arrived were decent and the naan breads were beautiful. My bhuna was so so, but I wasn't blown away, there was a fragrance to it that I haven't experienced before, and although it didn't stop me enjoying the meal, it certainly didn't add to my enjoyment, I would have preferred if whatever was used to add such fragrance was left out, the naan was delightful though and the rice was cooked to perfection. I tried some of the chicken tikka jalfreizi and it was nice but again I wasn't blown away by it. I didn't try the tikka masala but my friend enjoyed it and said it was good. The ladies toilet was spotless clean and overall I had no qualms about the general aesthetics of the restaurant, but I think a bit of effort could be made with some music playing and a more welcoming atmosphere, I certainly didn't feel inclined to stay any longer than we did, but probably would have ordered coffee and dessert had there been a good atmosphere. I appreciate that we arrived at tea time on a Friday evening, and they were clearly busy with takeaway orders, but I was expecting a bit more authenticity, as I am used to eating at Indian restaurants where that would be standard. I terms of value for money, I would say it was fair to middling, but no more than that. 1 portion of poppadoms and 3 main meals, plus 1 can of Fanta and 2 sparkling waters for just under €80 is not unreasonable, but they really let themselves down with the poppadom starter and lack of atmosphere. Would I go back again? Probably not, I can travel slightly further and spend less for a much more authentic Indian meal experience and a friendlier vibe, albeit maybe not as aesthetically pleasing at my regular Indian restaurant, I would sacrifice aesthetics for the enjoyment of a truly Indian experience, with very friendly staff who treat their clients like visiting royalty over the blandness of bombay palace any day of the week.

18/01/2025: Not what I was expecting after reading other reviews, I eat a lot of Indian food and cook this type of cuisine very well myself, so my expectations were high. On arrival we were asked to wait 2 minutes, and then told that our table was the round one by the window, we weren't shown to our table and had to wait for a few minutes before the waitress arrived with the menus, so our first impressions weren't great. The food was mediocre, nothing special about it, I didn't particularly enjoy my lamb bhuna, but the rice and naan bread, which are both extra as you don't get a side with the main meal were nice. There was only one girl serving in the restaurant floor and they were clearly busy with takeaway orders, so the service fell below my expectations, as did the atmosphere which was bland and quite boring, no background music and overall a feeling of just eat and leave, there was a about the restaurant to make us want to linger any further than the main meal, so we didn't order dessert or coffee. The starter of poppadoms with dips was a bit of a joke, I specifically asked if we should order one each, but our waitress said one would be enough. I couldn't believe what came out to us, a few pieces of poppadom and one teeny tiny miniscule bowl of onion salad, nothing else, no chutney, cucumber yoghurt etc. For a fiver I would have expected at least enough to enjoy the poppadoms with, however we ate most of them dry because we were so hungry. My usual Indian restaurant serves a large portion of poppadoms with 3 dips and it's complimentary, arriving to the table very quickly after being seated. Overall the experience was nothing special, the decor was lovely and everything was very clean, the fact that the building was a post office once upon a time is a big plus and adds to the aesthetic charm, but the food was average and the pricing a little over the top for what you get. I would be reluctant to go back, unlike my usual Indian restaurant which I love for the friendly staff, excellent food and authentic atmosphere.

13/05/2025: Had previously left a glowing review after coming here for years. Unfortunately a recent takeaway experience really let us down. Prawn curry was watery with about 3 prawns and no veg, staff were very unapologetic when we rang. Something must have changed here, so updating my review. All they had to do was acknowledge it and offer to make it right, now we won't be back.

07/03/2025: Had to wait nearly 90 minutes for my food to arrive. When it did arrive I was met with 6 timy pieces of chicken and cold rice. This food cost me €28 along with a naan bread. I don’t mind the wait and price as long as you get decent food. A microwave dinner in Lidl would be more filling and 1/5th of the price. Do better please

22/04/2025: We recently ordered catering for a family get-together, and it was hands down one of the tastiest meals we've ever had! From start to finish, the service was absolutely top-notch. The food was delivered right to our door, perfectly presented and piping hot, which made hosting so much easier. Not only was everything delicious, but they also included a few surprise extras at no additional cost — such a thoughtful touch that really made our day. After the meal, they came back to collect everything, making the whole process completely hassle-free. It was clear they genuinely care about quality and customer experience. 20/04/2025: We had a really disappointing experience here. We were a group of six, including our parents who were visiting for the first time. When we asked for one more plate of rice, the staff rudely told us we should’ve ordered everything at once instead of asking again. The restaurant wasn’t even busy—we were the only family there. Very unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. We won’t be coming back. Does not matter how good or bad food taste when staff and waiter makes you feel unwelcome overall feeling is negative. Better change waiter but if waiter was the owner then they need some training. Maybe if we were Irish they would have not behaved such a way, who knows. 🤷‍♂️

17/04/2025: De hecho, he estado aquí dos veces recientemente y tuve una muy buena noche en ambas ocasiones. He estado viniendo aquí durante años y después de haber probado un montón de restaurantes indios en Dublín este sigue siendo mi favorito. En ambas noches comí aquí este mes la comida era excelente. Los entrantes eran muy buenos - compartimos cebolla bhajis y samosa chat. También son grandes. La red era muy buena y llegó humeante caliente y placas calientes fueron traídos justo antes de que llegaran - ocasionalmente llegan demasiado pronto. Muy feliz de que la saag de pollo está ahora en el menú. El ambiente es acogedor y relajado. Ahora tienen una botella Bring - your - own - lo que significa que puedes disfrutar de tu vino favorito a precios de supermercado por una tarifa razonable de descorche.

11/04/2025: Como Louise, solía visitar aquí con frecuencia, pero ya no después de anoche. las salsas son muy sabrosas, pero hay muy poco pollo o pescado en los platos. Le avisamos al servidor, pero nadie lo abordó. Era demasiado caro por falta de calidad. No había muchos otros allí, ahora sé por qué.
