02/10/2025: Somewhat disappointing as first time buyers. Spent a while perusing the online menu before making our selections and scheduling a pick up time. When we got to the store, there was no record of our order and I was asked if I was sure that I had placed an order! "No, I'm just lying so as to cause confusion!" Perhaps a coffee could have been offered in lieu of the inconvenience for now having to hang around well after the scheduled pick up time?? The meal itself was ok'ish. Two lamb dishes - quite clear that lamb is simply added to the sauce/curry of your choice and not actually cooked in the sauce. Meat was tender but a bit flavourless. Garlic naan was lovely. The star of the show was the little tub of tomato and onion sambals.

31/08/2025: I ordered a takeaway from Veda on the evening of Saturday 2 August as I have done several times before. However I woke up twice later that night and was violently sick with food poisoning. I suspect the problem was the rice which was very dry when I received it and felt like it had been sitting around for a while. In any event I spent the next 2 days in bed which included missing a day off work. I emailed Veda on Sunday 3 August with no reply and then again on Tuesday 5 August - again no response. I called the restaurant on Friday 8 August and explained what had happened and was told I would receive a call back. In the absence of a call I phoned again on Wednesday 13 August and was again told I would be contacted. Finally I called again on Saturday 16 Augusta and spoke to the manager who told me he had spoken to the owners. The manager did not apologise for my food poisoning and indeed suggested it may not have been caused by Veda. I explained this could not have been the case as Veda was the only meal I had eaten in the 12 hours before I became ill. I had requested a refund of my meal which cost circa €32 and was offered a voucher for €20. This appears to be the standard offer which I note from the previous review submitted by Eimear Kelly. Unfortunately I will not be returning to Veda - partially due to the horrific food poisoning but also due to the very poor customer service I received after I was ill.

22/12/2025: The food was delicious, but the staff was short-staffed and very busy. The hand soap in the restroom smelled amazing.

20/12/2025: We came for an early dinner on 20/12/25. The decor inside is very nice but the food is mediocre and the prices are extortionate. Not worth the money. The staff who welcomed us when we arrived were so very rude but the servers were lovely. Style over substance

27/10/2025: Very authentic decor, Food and atmosphere. Waiter was friendly and nice. Food excellent and different slant on other Indian Restaurants but really tasty. Thoroughly enjoyable night.

10/11/2025: The food is presented beautifully and cooked with care and skill. I found the staff to be very friendly and attentive. I order the Silver Oak Tandoori mixed platter and it was worth it, with different types of meat that had warm spices and melted in your mouth. I also got the Masala chai as I craved a hot drink while it was raining outside and you could taste all the fresh spices like cardamom, ginger and black pepper. A lovely dining experience.

25/11/2025: Booked in here for the Saturday night that we were staying in Donegal Town and it was lucky we had booked as the place was packed! Very unassuming spot from the outside but we had a lovely meal and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive the whole evening and made sure we were taken care of. All of the food was delicious but some of the highlights were, the Chicken Tikka Pathia, Lamb Rogan Josh and Peshwari Naans.

02/11/2025: Mixed experience. Flavours decent. The signature peanut curry wasn’t to my liking. The tikka masala was average. Not enough heat in the garlic chicken tikka chilli bhuna. Chicken in all 3 dishes very dry and over cooked. The saag aloo was delicious. Rice cooked to perfection. Naan fine. Staff very polite.

09/11/2025: Really tasty and authentic Indian food, loads of different options on the menu. Staff was lovely, Raj was really kind and suggested a lovely dish. I will definitely go again.

03/10/2025: The food is good quality and it is nice but I have had 3 dishes from here - korma, butter chicken and tikka masala and they all taste pretty much the same. All the dishes are incredibly sweet and I can't understand how a butter chicken and tikka masala can have the same colour and taste as a korma. The only difference is the korma had a slight coconut flavour compared to the others.

14/11/2025: It took 1Hr 40 mins to deliver our takeaway, we had to ring the restaurant and they said the driver took the wrong food and he was on the way, however it still took an additional 40 minutes to deliver. The food was below average as well.

07/10/2025: Good place to have North Indian food. Their tandoori Momos, Dal Makhni , Mango Lasso and kadak chai are a must try.

17/10/2025: Well - 3 stars. Service.... First of all - I'm alway taking it for take away. Food is great and worth returning for it. Place has nice atmosphere, and overall is looking nice. Parking spot could be a problem sometimes. Now service for take away. It happens 3 times to me right now. I'm usually ordering for first empty slot for collection, and it could be 2-3 hours later. So I tought I might order in the middlen of the day so I can pick collection slot whenever I like - drop in collect, after work and go home quickly. This is not working. After forst and second time it happens I was assured that it will be fixed, and there will be no delay next time - here we go - every single time when I have ordered this way I had to wait 15-20 minutes longer, even taking into consideration that I have ordered around 2-3 PM. Obviously other people are just picking their orders no problem on time. Ordering system has a flaw - as kitchen is not even attempting to make my order for desired collection time - when I show up they are preparing it then.... Hopefully next time I will have better experience.

14/10/2025: Currys lacking in flavour and very watery. Chicken pakora cold and stale, couldn't eat it. Bhaji equally old and seemed it had been refried multiple times. Pilau rice for 2 in set dinner was only portion for one
