12/08/2026: Everything about this place was spectacular. The food was phenomenal, and the service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambience was beautiful and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

05/06/2026: The food felt like I am having dessert for main course and starter. Extremely sweet food with no flavour than sweet. It was busy I understand but the service was too slow. And they even did not ask for water unless asked to them. It was my second time here. First time was a little better but the second time I did not have a meal I just had sweet dish in form of my meal. Food with sugar that’s all it was.

01/06/2026: Disappointing experience. Had my second visit today. During my first visit I thought it might be because of the rush but today it was totally free during lunch hour. Both the times the attitude of staff serving was so rude as if he was doing us a favor by letting us in and have lunch there Coming to the food, it was okay. But if you visit you can try out their south Indian cuisine.

19/05/2026: A very enjoyable meal and the service was absolutely brilliant. You can tell a very skilled team are working the kitchen with the freshest of ingredients. I chose mild which was perfect but I think I'll try the hot next time around. Really looking forward to my next meal at Montys!

09/08/2026: For clarification after the owner response of why are we spreading hate ? It was hate that you guys showed. We are just reporting the thing for others to see what they might experience if they are going to have similar plan like us. My friend had booking from 6:30-9 pm but you guys forcefully removed them at 8pm. ( If you would have asked respectfully to leave before the stipulated time, although wrong but could have been worth considering ). But the disrespectful manners that your staff showed is completely unacceptable. So before pointing fingers at others, inquire and introspect among your team. Have a nice day !

08/08/2026: Reply for the owner: For clarification: This was a genuine booking for 9 people under the name Mary, from 6:30–9:00 PM. I had clearly mentioned that they were my friends. They were welcomed into the restaurant, but at around 8:00 PM they were asked to leave despite having a booking until 9:00 PM. When my friends politely asked to remain until the end of the booking, the situation was handled disrespectfully. I would ask the management to verify the booking and speak with the staff involved before accusing customers of spamming or spreading hate. Very disappointing experience. My friends had a reservation yesterday from 7–9 PM to celebrate a birthday, but they were asked to leave at 8 PM because the restaurant had more customers waiting. What made the experience even worse was the way the staff handled the situation. They were rude, disrespectful and showed no consideration at all.

22/07/2026: Fantastic shopping centre with a great selection of retail chains and small independent traders. I particularly like their charity shop which is always well stocked and with friendly staff.

12/07/2026: Absolutley amazing food wonderfull staff we have been going to cobra for a good few years went yesterday evening 14 people and I could not recommend them enough outstanding service 14 starters 14 mains and each and every meal was amazing well done and thank you for having amazing food

08/07/2026: Frozen lamb that was dry chewy and unpleasant to eat in our curry. Served me a cold pre made roti which is a sin. If you are unfamiliar with Indian food you might think this place is ok. If you are familiar with good Indian food you won’t be happy.

06/07/2026: Very disappointing visit … From the start as we walked into the restaurant at 7.30pm on a Friday ,the place was deserted and the owner was sitting down staring into space which gave off very bad first impressions. For the starter I got the mixed grill which was extremely bland , all the meats were dry and one piece of chicken which I shared with my girlfriend we both had to spit out as it tasted of fish.. For mains we got tikka masala and Rogan Josh , the rogan Josh was bland , watery and the chicken was tough , all things I can say I’ve never experienced with Indian cuisine before , the tikka masala was just average . At the end we were waiting quite a while for the servers to take payment so I called over the owner , he came over and went through the bill infront of us and proceeded to tell us that we’ve had 2 beers and they hadn’t charged us enough , we found this to be very rude and it was nearly as if he was blaming us for the mistake . Overall this place doesn’t deserve any of the awards that it advertises, we have been to numerous Indians in Ireland and abroad and this has to be the worst we’ve been to , wouldn’t recommend going unless you want to be disappointed

A special thanks to Mahi, whose friendly, attentive, and professional service made our visit even more enjoyable. The location was convenient, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended for excellent Asian cuisine in Galway!

16/08/2026: Beautiful Indian food. We got the chicken balti, chicken jalfrazi, side of masala sauce, pilau rice, chips and garlic nan. Everything had so much flavour. Would highly recommend. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Great value for money.

23/07/2026: Slow and shiesty service; had to ask repeatedly for our drink orders, dinner was served over 30min after we ordered. When we asked how much naan we should get for our table, the amount they suggested ended up being an insane amount which seemed to be an attempt to sell more. When the piles of naan were brought to our table we asked if they could take some of it away as it was way more than any human could possibly eat and they refused saying all they could do is bag it for us to take with us after the meal. Additionally, food was overpriced for the portion sizes. Would not recommend.
