08/12/2024: This was a real discovery. Having travelled the length and breadth of Ireland and sampled Indian cuisine in dozens of locations I can honestly say that this was the best experience of the lot.
Everything about this cosy restaurant is faultless.....the location, the decor, the service and , above all, the food.
The flavours of the three dishes we ordered were perfectly judged and everything was presented with great style. If we lived in Kilkenny we'd eat here at least once a week. A perfect gem .

09/11/2024: We went on a busy night so service was quite slow, very loud also. No water offered or brought to the table.
But we were very happy with the quality of the food. I would definitely go back but maybe very early evening or mid week.

17/11/2024: I highly recommend the Tulsi Indian Restaurant, Ennis, very friendly, helpful service and terrific food. We were a table of 19 having a pre Christmas night out and everyone enjoyed themselves.
25/10/2024: Been here many times in person and it’s also my go to takeaway spot. Food is always excellent whether delivered or in house, some of the best Indian food I’ve had. Staff are always extremely nice and friendly, conversating and laughing with customers. Not too expensive either and takeaway is great too , nearly always getting something free. My favourite restaurant in Ennis and some of the most divine food I’ve tasted.

24/11/2024: Himalayan Lamb (recommended by staff) was outstanding…very “clean” lamb chucks cooked a red medium. Curry sauce tremendous. High praise for daal, chicken roganjosh, and garlic chili chicken. Exceptional friendly staff brought papadum while waiting. Visiting from U.S.A….Love Ballina.
01/11/2024: My sister and I visited this restaurant on Halloween night, based on a friend's recommendation.
The food was delicious, the service was great.
Prices were very reasonable.
No taxis were available after our meal to take us back to our hotel, so, the restaurant owner arranged transport for us.
We were very impressed and will return next time we are in Ballina.

02/11/2024: Got a takeaway 2 weeks ago,was really very sick after it,had tandoori mixed grill n mushroom rice(only ate half of the rice, it was very hot n spicy which I thought was odd,have eaten Indian food for nearly 30 years..first time to have spicy mushroom rice,omg so ill after,rang them, they were very casual about it, didn't ring back again since to see if I'd recovered or anything(I had to go to westdoc),won't be back...

30/10/2024: Ordered from the spice cottage for a number of years. Prices have been going up and portion sizes have been getting smaller and smaller over the past year. This review is specifically related to the last order which was an hour late, arrived cold, and didn’t include an item which I paid for. They lied and said they couldn’t refund me (even though they took money for something they didn’t deliver), before their manager then said he would refund my card. Two weeks later and no refund.

08/10/2024: Had a takeaway which included a chicken tikka masala and a chicken jalfriezi with the smokey potatoes and pilau rice. This is our first time trying it and OMG it is the best Indian I have ever tried. The tikka masala had flavours that were incredible and the jalfriezi a smokey and spicy flavour to die for. You have to try the potatoes too...amazing. Will be returning to sit in and enjoy this in the restaurant. Thank you so much all at Vermillion.
