The Everest
Ballina
20/08/2025: We needed four meals to takeaway, two of which had to be vegan and one vegetarian. There was no issue ordering vegan versions. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The sauces were delicious, the vegetables beautifully al dente, the meat tender and flavoursome, and spicy was just the right amount of spicy. The rice was not sticky, not too dry. The re-usable containers are great and will be used again, and again. The price was very reasonable (ca โฌ50 for 4 mains). The ordering process was uncomplicated, the waiting time was just right, the staff member we dealt with was friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again the next time we visit Ballina.
13/08/2025: This Nepalese restaurant is one of the best Iโve ever been to. I ordered dish number 32 โ I donโt remember exactly what it was, but it was perfectly spicy and very tasty. The place is nice and the staff is friendly. I recommend it!

Ananda
Dublin
24/09/2025: My recent visit to Ananda left my taste buds dancing with joy, yet the experience was tinged with a sense of dissatisfaction due to an unexpected service charge. Let me delve into the delightful culinary journey and the less savory aspect of my dining experience.
The food at Ananda was nothing short of amazing. We indulged in a spread that included their heavenly kofta, rich Daal Makahani, and fragrant biryani. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. The kofta, with its melt-in-your-mouth texture and savory sauce, was a standout. The Daal Makahani had a comforting, creamy richness that paired flawlessly with fluffy naan. And the biryani, with its aromatic spices and tender meat, was a celebration of traditional Indian cuisine.
However, the joy of the meal was overshadowed by the restaurant's decision to impose a 13% service fee. It seemed unjustified to charge such a fee without offering a commensurate level of service. In contrast, I've dined at Michelin-starred restaurants like Rasam in Dublin, where such forced or guilt-driven charges are noticeably absent, allowing the focus to remain solely on the culinary experience.

Montys of Kathmandu
Dublin
01/11/2025: A busy restaurant with the most amazing wine menu. Delicuous food well presented and a waiting staff who displayed the ring amount of attentiveness. We were a party of 6, so a service charge was applied, well earned. Will definitely revisit.
01/11/2025: Had Momos, chicken curry and rice. Momos didnโt feel fresh and overall the food was very average, not enough quantity of chicken pieces and too pricey.

Delhi Lounge
Dublin
10/10/2025: This is a usual spot for us for takeaway and itโs even better when you sit in. The service was impeccable and the food is just amazing. I got additional help from the servers in finding suitable vegan dishes for me and there are so many to choose from. They even made me a vegan alrernative to naan (called roti) which just shows they go above and beyond to help out their customers. Highly recommend popping into this place!!
06/10/2025: This is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Dublin. Well worth a visit. Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced.

Pink Salt
Bray
13/09/2025: Top class Indian on Bray main Street
08/09/2025: We visited this restaurant for dinner to commemorate a special occasion. Our original choice of location were all fully booked but this place had availability. Since we were dining with a toddler we asked for a quieter spot upstairs away from the crowd. The staff kindly accommodated us and we had the whole upstairs area to ourselves which was a good start.
Service overall was good and the food was okay, nothing particularly memorable but nothing to complain about either.
The issue began when our toddler got excited and let out a quick scream, as toddlers sometimes do. Almost instantly a staff member came upstairs and told us that customers downstairs had complained about being noisy. We found this hard to believe as it happened within seconds, far too soon for anyone to have reported it and for the staff to come up. Given that the downstairs music was louder and people were talking over dinner, it did not feel like a realistic concern. This left us feeling that our celebration had been spoiled unnecessarily.
Afterward another staff member stood nearby and kept looking at us, which felt uncomfortable. When we made eye contact the staff asked if everything was okay, we said yes and staff went downstairs. It would have been better if they had simply told us directly to keep the toddler calm rather than implying that other customers had complained.
Toward the end the staff handling our order, who was kind, brought ice cream and said it's free for you which we politely declined. We understood it was an attempt to make up for the awkward situation. Interestingly our toddler noticed everything and still said a mature thank you very much before we left which was a sweet moment. One staff member gave us a genuine smile and wished us a good day while leaving, which we acknowledged.
The experience left a bad impression. We will not be returning, nor ordering from them again online and I would not recommend this place to families with young children who want to dine in.
