30/04/2025: Visited 'Chakra' as it was suggested to us by quite a few. The visual experience was great. We had ordered: Starters: 1) Jal Tarag Scallops 2) Rangi Chicken Tasting Mains: 1) Rawat's Malai Monkfish 2) Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry Bread Basket Kids: Murgh Malai Tikka - with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert Fried Prawns - with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert Desserts: Creme Brulee Belgian Chocolate Bahar Drinks: Chakra Passionfruit Martini Elderflower Daiquiri Mango, Saffron & Honey Lassi Mango Lassi for the Kids Chakra ticks all the boxes for visual representations of their dishes. When it comes to taste, well it did not match my expectations. I guess the dishes are tweaked too much that it looses its orginality. We enjoyed the starters and the kids liked their dishes. The mains....hmmm.... what can I say.... Rawat's Malai Monkfish - The monk fish was bland, a simple seasoning would have elevated the dish. Liked the cutlet and tomato rice though. Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry - I am quite sure this was in no way a 'Kerala' style dish. I come from Kerala and I am quite well versed with the distinct flavors of my home state. Desserts were thoroughly enjoyed and the show stopper was the "Creme Brulee" Will we come back... for the experience, Yes. For the food, I am not too sure. Probably it's the Indian in me looking for authentic tastes in Ireland.

15/04/2025: Much anticipated visit to the Chakra by Jaipur in Greystones on our trip to Ireland. The trio chicken was very good. The momo, chicken kebab boneless and the drum stick were perfectly marinated and beautifully presented. The veg and non veg thalli weren’t that impressive. The palak paneer and palak chicken were exactly the same. The kofta curry and coconut prawn were exactly the same with added coconut milk in the prawn. It’s obvious that base sauces are reused. The dahl tadka was acceptable. Not great. The gun powder potatoes (basically chips with Cajun seasonings) was presented as Bombay Potatoes. The creme brulee was very nice. The decor is very tastefully done. I’m giving it a five star because the above observations would only be obvious to someone who cooks Indian food. It’s a good restaurant if you’re after a fairly good Indian meal. However it’s not exceptional.

18/05/2025: Cian is a sweetheart. The ferry was on its last journey and I was posing with my dog and he offered to take a picture when we were taking pics. That was so kind and rare these days especially at the end your shift when you are tired and over the day. What a legend! So appreciated. 🥹

24/05/2025: Really enjoyed this evening. Went with my husband and daughter. Such fabulous staff were so attentive and lovely to my daughter. I think my eyes were bigger than my tummy and they packed up my leftovers to bring home. We really enjoyed it.Thank you for a fantastic night.

17/05/2025: Absolutely Fantastic Dining Experience! I had an amazing time at this restaurant and can’t recommend it highly enough. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was bursting with flavour and perfectly cooked. The kebab and potato cake are absolute must-tries. Both were incredibly tasty and left us wanting more. What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to be helpful throughout our visit. From the moment we walked in until the end of our meal, we felt genuinely cared for. It was a truly enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

09/05/2025: I recently visited this Indian restaurant with my family, and while the food itself wasn’t bad, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere didn’t feel particularly welcoming for families—more suited for couples. Portions were average, but the prices were steep for what we got. There are definitely better options out there both in terms of value and family-friendliness. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you're dining with kids or looking for a budget-friendly outing.

08/05/2025: Today we visit pink salt for dine in for the first time, The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike, we tried butter chicken and and samosa chaat. They were all exquisite and the most delicious indian food I have ever tried in Ireland .

12/04/2025: Food was excellent. Service was very good, even though 2 mistakes were made but they were quickly rectified. Finally we ordered 2 double espresso. What we were served, was not espresso, it was weak instant or percolated coffee and for €8. What was otherwise excellent was spoiled at the end.

04/04/2025: Tania and the other staff were so lovely and welcoming. The food was delicious, I really enjoyed the sauce that came with the lamb biryani, and the spice on top of the mango lassy added a nice touch.

02/04/2025: my husband and I were in clonakilty for the day The menu was so varied and didn't disappoint. it was delicious and lovely friendly helpful people we had so much we have a dinner for tomorrow everything down to the Dips we're freshly made 😋 definitely be back again 5 star 🌟

17/05/2025: Sono stato qui per cena attirato dalle ottime recensioni e vista la vicinanza al mio hotel. Cercavo cibo indiano e ho trovato nepalese, non che sia veramente in grado di distinguere le diverse cucine. Ottimi i piatti e porzioni abbondanti. Servizio veloce. Prezzi medio alti.

06/05/2025: Didn't have previous booking called no problem on Bank Holiday Sunday. Was busy and lucky yo get table. Food was just gorgeous and service first class. Will be back!!

06/05/2025: Spice Village is an amazing spot if you're craving Indian food in Ireland. The starters were really nice. Loved the samosas. The curries are rich and flavorful, especially the Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Masala. Looking forward to try the Biryani next time. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. The ambience is really cozy.

25/04/2025: We celebrated a friend’s birthday dinner here. The customer service was amazing, the waiters were attentive and charismatic, the food was spectacular and so flavourful! We couldn’t get any pictures because we couldn’t wait to eat it all!

18/04/2025: Llegamos para una comida reservada para celebrar el 80 cumpleaños de mi madre, una ocasión muy especial para nuestra familia. Después de haber conducido desde Tipperary, elegimos este restaurante porque una vez había sido nuestro favorito cuando vivíamos cerca. Mencioné esto al hacer la reserva, esperando que se sumaría a la sensación de ocasión. Lamentablemente, la experiencia no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas. A la llegada, el hombre que nos saludó era cortés y poco acogedor. Nos apresuramos a ir directamente a una mesa que estaba tan cerca de los demás que nos sentíamos todos sentados en una larga mesa comunitaria. Era incómodo y completamente carente de privacidad. Afortunadamente, una amable y atenta camarera entendió nuestro malestar y nos ayudó a trasladarnos a un lugar más adecuado. Fue decepcionante ver a los huéspedes delante de nosotros, que parecían ser habituales, que ofrecían bebidas en el bar antes de su comida. También hubiéramos apreciado esa opción, especialmente dada la importancia de la ocasión. Un mes antes, había cenado aquí y me quedé impresionado por la comida. Fue excepcional: complejo, refinado y bellamente equilibrado. Nos encontramos con un hombre amable, con ropa tradicional, y aunque llegué tarde, todavía era maravillosamente acogedor. Esta vez, tristemente, la comida se sentía plana en comparación. No fue malo, simplemente poco notable. Todo sabía un poco demasiado similar, sin la sutileza y profundidad que había admirado anteriormente. Para un día tan especial, simplemente no valió la pena el viaje ni el costo. En contraste, almorzamos al día siguiente en The Ivy, y la diferencia fue notable. La comida era excepcional, el ambiente cálido, y mi madre se hizo sentir realmente especial — todo lo que esperábamos en esta celebración de cumpleaños. Escribo esta reseña con la esperanza de que lo que está pasando con este lugar se puede arreglar, ya que siempre fue una joya.
