29/02/2024: Lovey place good atmosphere great food

17/02/2024: Very rude and unprofessional staff. The young lad running the place behaved in a surly and almost aggressive way, giving me an uncomfortable stare-down when I went to the bar. With so many friendly and professionally run pubs in Dublin, there’s just no reason to go here. Avoid.

27/02/2024: We ordered two burgers completely overcooked for our taste. At €32 for our two dishes and one Coca-Cola. It’s very pricey for the standard we received. The people serving were polite and mannerly. For winter time can’t expect atmosphere to be much, but the glass courtyard surround is currently green from the winter weather just looked shabby . I’m sure this establishment in spring/summer is a different place.

22/04/2024: We visited the Old Mill on Saturday evening. The table was booked for 6.30pm and we were shown to our table. We ordered a bottle of wine, 2 pints of beer and food for four people. However, after eating our food my wife and her friend still had 1/3 of the wine remaining and therefore myself and our friends partner, asked to have 2 more pints of beer to the server, whilst the remaining wine was finished. We were told by the server no you can’t have any more drinks and we needed to hurry up and finish our drinks so the table could be used. In total we had the table for 50 minutes. The restaurant should not be selling bottles of wine, if you are not given the time to drink it. To say we felt rushed is an understatement and to be refused a drink because they want to use the table for the next customer, even though we had finished is a strange way to run a business. There should be a clear sign to acknowledge that you have a time slot for your table to customers. The restaurant appears to have a fast food style approach to dining and as soon as you have eaten your are no longer wanted. I have never felt so rushed to get out of a restaurant and this was a hugely disappointing experience of an otherwise fantastic trip to Dublin.

21/04/2024: A very busy restaurant. We tried to go here on Thursday night and noticed there was a long queue so booked to return on the Friday. I recommend booking otherwise you can be stuck in the queue for hours waiting outside. The menu was varied with loads of authentic Irish dish options to choose from. We opted to go for the salmon and prawn pasta and it was incredibly tasty. This is a restaurant that seats and serves quickly so if you are looking to have a relaxing meal this is not the restaurant. Tables are positioned very close to one another but adds to the jolly atmosphere found within.

13/11/2023: The Westbridge is a local hostilery that serves homemade food during the summer months. There is always a welcome and good beers.

10/10/2023: I had the seafood chowder and rhubarb pie for dessert..I highly recommend both!!!

20/03/2024: Not really happy with the staff. They switched channels in all TVs 10 minutes before the end of the PL game because someone wanted to watch rugby. Not even the Connaught team. Very disappointed.

18/04/2024: Generally the Supermac’s drive through is handy for a quick coffee and snack, but if it’s busy, be prepared to wait! Subway had only one staff member at a very busy time, so I waited 10 mins then left without ordering, Supermac’s staff were severely under pressure with orders, management need to employ more staff to cater for busy times

27/03/2024: Oald Oak is a nice bar with a cozy atmosphere! It doesn't matter how old you are, all ages mix here. My experience is that you can have a nice chat with a random person here while enjoying a beer or something else to drink.

12/01/2024: Ages sine we had dinner here, much smaller menu. So choice limited. But we both enjoyed our meals

04/01/2024: We had a "Festive menu " at €34.95 for 2 courses, on the Friday night after Christmas. Our experience on this night left a lot to be desired. Staff need to be trained as how to serve in a restaurant environment. Huddled in groups having the chats with the kitchen staff over food that was being prepared. Food was not up to par at all. Soup was re heat from earlier in the day. Took 45 mins to come to the table. Asked for some butter and it was handed to me from the servers hand, not on a plate. Roast Turkey and honey baked ham was on the menu, however a cheap Turkey ,ham , stuffing parcel was what I received. The ham resembled a thick rasher. We were given a Veg bowl , however what received was Sloppy carrots and soft broccoli from earlier in the day that had been just reheated. Potatoes came from the microwave, again I presume from earlier in the day. We asked for a bottle of wine, this was handed to us in a cooler with ice , but the wine was off the shelf and still warm. Again the server simply placed it on the table and walked away.At €30 per bottle , I would expect it to be cooled . And possibly poured in to a glass. We will not be going back to this as a restaurant unless they improve their standards . Not the staff fault as they have not been trained correctly. However floor manager needs to pull up his socks..
