19/06/2025: Best meal we’ve had in Ireland. Everything was fresh and you could taste it. From the chicken liver pate (best I’ve ever had) to the meringue with homemade ice cream and raspberry sauce. It was delicious. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend that if you come to Kinsale you do not miss this restaurant.

24/05/2025: This place still has me thinking of coming back to Kinsale! Thomas and staff were so inviting, friendly and attentive, the food was off the charts from apps to mains to dessert. Looking forward to next year as I trek back from the Philadelphia area to visit again. You will not be let down, make that reservation and sit back and enjoy it all! AAAAA+++++
01/05/2025: Wow what can I say. This place is a taste delight. By far the best food I’ve ever tasted and such good value. We felt so happy to have found it and would come back to Kinsale (from uk) just to be able to eat here again! The staff are also really great….relaxed, knowledgable and lots of fun!

12/06/2025: Super tasty breakfast! Got the focaccia sandwich and the mushroom toast. Excellent flavors and super fresh ingredients. Vanilla cardamom latte was the cherry on top! Everyone raves about this place for a reason.

Had mushroom on sourdough with Halloumi …absolutely perfect.
Home made lemonade, and cappuccino. Lovely banter with staff.
Very cute interior. It felt like walking into a friend’s for breakfast.

16/06/2025: Dropped by for an impromptu lunch on a weekday walking back into town from Charles Fort. Everything was delicious. Portions were generous and they had plenty of options for a member of our party with some dietary restrictions (GF, V). Service was prompt and friendly. I would eat there again without hesitation.

27/05/2025: We had a great stay at the White Lady in Kinsale. Anthony and his team looked after us so well. The restaurant food was very good. The atmosphere, service and helpfulness of staff make it a place I would thoroughly recommend to stay.

16/06/2025: Jim Edwards is one of the best dining locations in this gourmet town of Kinsale, Ireland. Ask the locals for the best spot for fish and chips and this restaurant is one of the first mentioned. I had seafood chowder, rib eye steak & stickey toffee pudding- scrumptious! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the town. Oh yes, I also tasted their medley of Irish whiskey- 😇

17/06/2025: We shared a family trip with our three daughters and son-in-law‘s and granddaughter. We had such an outstanding time and can sell. We can’t wait to go back and I absolutely loved the trident hotel. Your service and friendliness with the staff throughout just made our stay even more special, the views, the food, the peopleall added to such a great special family vacation. Thank you.

The Old Bank House

10/04/2025: There was 1 key at check in for 2 people. Went back to ask if we could get a 2nd key cut and were moved to another room. 2nd room had tea/coffee but no kettle, espresso machine or fan, so we grabbed them from the first room as to not bother staff. There was also no iron. Window hard to open. Safe hard to lock and couldn’t unlock it. Maintenance arrived and unlocked it manually. I asked how to relock it and he said he had bad English. I was a bit worried as I had to leave and had nowhere to store passport/cash. As I was leaving, a manager arrived and figured out the safe batteries were dead, so she gave me new batteries. Room service gave us new towels and water only but didn’t replenish coffee or milk. There is no fan in the bathroom. Shower was cold on 3rd day, and reception said to wait 20 minutes while they boosted the hot water. I had a do not disturb sign on the door, yet cleaning staff scared me by walking in without knocking. To note, there were no internal-only locks, which seemed a bit unsafe, especially considering we were told that a previous guest walked out with one of the keys to our original room.
All in all, the room was clean, bed comfortable (as long as you don’t fall into the middle where two twins were pushed together) and location great. The issue is it is a 3 star hotel billed as 5 star, so overpriced/overrated. If it were listed as a 3 star and priced accordingly, there would be no issue.

06/01/2025: Took a few family members into Kinsale, but the experience here at this particular bar left a very bad taste in the mouth. It's bad enough the behavior and attitude of some patrons, but the staff too? I've been going to bars for a fair few years now, I don't think I have ever experienced the carry on nor the overall tone I heard and seen in the Lord Kingsale. Would not recommend on any level.
