The best restaurantsof irish in Kinsale

26/01/2025: This review is a couple of months late, with my apologies. We enjoyed a spectacular meal in November 2024 and I had wanted to say thank you so much. The pumpkin & parmesan croquettes were life-changing... the gnocchi sublime. The thing that made it perfect though was the service which was warm, enthusiastic and professional. Our server was unflappable even when the table next to us set their napkin on fire, and seemed completely uninterested in putting it out. We got an awful fit of the giggles but she was serenity itself as she saved the day. I would come back to Kinsale just to visit The Black Pig. The food was truly the best meal I've had in 10 years, maybe more - every dish perfection. The prices are a steal compared to the highway robbery that's taken over Dublin with largely boring, poorly executed food.

16/02/2025: My partner and I went to Man Friday on Valentines night and it was incredible! We were seated at a table in the heated patio over looking the long quay in Kinsale. We had the hot oysters, starter scampi, sirloin steaks and one sticky toffee to share, everything was genuinely 10/10. The staff were and always are super friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough.

28/01/2025: This hotel is really nice. All the staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the stay. I had dinner in the restaurant and the seafood chowder was amazing. The free breakfast was also very good.

22/12/2024: Absolutely amazing experience, some of the best food we’ve ever had, flawless service and great atmosphere. The food reminds of the traditional irish flavours but with elevated and extremely interesting new shapes and textures. All of that complemented with an extensive catalogue of wines. If I could only recommend one restaurant in Ireland it would be this one.

16/02/2025: Food was lovely, but €28 for 12 small pieces of scampi did not deliver. Pay close attention to the lack of an "s" at the end of the spring roll menu item.

09/02/2025: Everything in the menu is amazing! High recommend the seafood chowder, the best one I ve ever tried! Starters, mains and desserts are super tasty! The service is so good and staff really friendly and welcoming. 100% recommended!

28/01/2025: The Trident was our stopping point for the night on our road trip from Kilkenny to Killarney. It was clean and comfortable, the front desk was helpful and it was only a short walk to Kinsale city center.

01/02/2025: I’ve visited OHK a few times and it’s always 10/10. Such a gem that we travelled down from East Cork. I’ll need to return again for the Turkish eggs and the vegan cookie!!

05/01/2025: Amazing breakfast here! The place was literally across the street from our accommodation. The breakfast is highly recommended!

05/01/2025: Customer service is really shitty. You get rejected on the entrance, when you’re not in your late 40’s and wear expensive brands.
