14/09/2025: The nicest fillet steak we've ever had! We arrived late and the restaurant still managed to accommodate us and gave us a gorgeous seat overlooking the harbour. Highly recommend!

And it did. A wonderful welcome from the staff. Lovely table with a
magnificent view. Two glasses of Prosecco and a bottle of wine. Very good.
And the food. Excellent...

07/10/2025: I recently took my Wife to Jim Edwards for lunch on 20th September 2025. From start to finish the experience was fantastic and the quality of both food and service was simply superb. We were staying locally and our hostess informed me that this establishment has been in business for a considerable period, that it is Jim's son who is now in charge and that this pub/restaurant has been operating at a very high level as long as she could remember. Very grateful for a lovely experience and incredible food. Looking forward to visiting again.
02/10/2025: Dropped in for a meal 3 people right from the start it took an age for a waiter to come with the menu order taken twice we had to check where the order was when it eventually arrived it was cold that was the end of the meal we got a small amount of the meal we left disappointed we loved Kinsale

24/10/2025: I love love love love this city! Unfortunately we did not get to stay long. However I got a feel for the city and its people as soon as I stepped of the bus.
It’s busy and crazy but so friendly and welcoming at the same time!
As for the hotel. I was not a fan, it’s old and I love old, love the history and the charm but it seemed more of a places that needed updating. I hated my room but my family loved there’s. To each their own I guess!
29/09/2025: The hotel has a great location and a rustic feel. Unfortunately, it's quite dated and rather noisy. However, the breakfast was delicious.

11/11/2025: On Monday, it was one of the few restaurants open in the afternoon. It had a lovely atmosphere and a selection of fresh fish on the menu. The salmon was grilled, well-seasoned, and melted in your mouth. Of course, the set included a generous amount of fries, so a single portion would be quite filling. The price was reasonable, nothing outrageous. I recommend it.
09/11/2025: I usually post good reviews, but the rudeness we were faced with yesterday can’t go unsaid. We were a group of 8, we took a bit of time to figure out what to order, normal? not in Dino’s take away. One of the lady at the counter made fun of us by whispering to the other clients present. She then proceeded to whisper about us IN FRONT OF US to her colleagues. Colleagues which were all rude to us and talked down to us. One of my friend didn’t even get what she wanted, the option she wanted was unavailable (tacos), and she wasn’t really left a choice to get the garlic fries (oh and she’s pregnant). I’ve never seen such a level of rudeness (and i’m french). We didn’t even know what we did to be made fun of, and to do it right in front of us? wow.
so i guess if you like being made fun of, this is the place for you :)
