The best restaurantsof irish in Kinsale

27/10/2024: Only word for this place is exceptional. The setting, food, staff. And…. the value for money 👌🏻👌🏻 It’s unusual to come away from a restaurant in Ireland these days genuinely feeling you had a great experience, without having to spend a fortune. But the Black Pig has nailed this. Can’t wait till I’m in Kinsale again. Thanks for taking care of us!

20/10/2024: Dropped in late (9.30pm) for a few glasses of wine and a plate of oysters. A great selection of wines and we weren't disappointed by our choices. Had a dozen oysters that were fresh and delicious.

20/09/2024: Nice little place where we had a very relaxed and delicious breakfest. Very friendly staff, fair prices and cosy atmosphere. Will be back. Thx

11/09/2024: The hotel staff goes above and beyond, for real. They were incredibly helpful. We were amazed by their hospitality. Wow! The room was huge, well equipped and the premises are beautiful.

10/11/2024: We had an excellent experience at The Spaniards Inn! Arriving around 5 pm, we found the place quiet, which made for a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of with quick and efficient service. The food was delicious, with everything served fresh and exactly as we’d hoped. Perfect spot for a peaceful early evening meal—highly recommended!

21/09/2024: Bastion is well worth your time; even if it’s only for a drink and a snack at the bar. We stopped in without a reservation and were able to spend some time at the bar. It was a welcome change from a noisy pub and the bar snacks were next level. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and extremely accommodating. You could tell they take great care in making guests feel welcome; even folks like us who popped in off the street after seeing the Michelin sign on the door. I can’t speak to the dinner menu, but from what we saw being served it looked beautiful and unique. The snacks at the bar were very good; go for the Iberian ham and olives, I’d also consider grabbing the cheese and crackers as well. We were in Kinsale on a whim and didn’t have time to make reservations, but if we are ever back in the area we’d absolutely be making dinner reservations.

10/10/2024: Can be great food, but maybe a bit inconsistent We actually came here twice. The first was for lunch after a great walking tour of town and had seafood chowder and fries. The chowder was loaded with seafood and the fries were crispy and excellent. Because we liked it so much, we came back for dinner a couple nights later. I had the fish and chips which were good and my wife had a burger. Neither was outstanding, and the fries we had this time were not very crispy as before. Service was fine both times and the atmosphere good. I give it 4 stars based on both visits.

12/10/2024: Food was delicious, the hostess and waitress were friendly and accommodating, and atmosphere was what you'd expect from a great independent restaurant gem.

11/10/2024: Friendly welcome, Great service, Delicious food, Warm ambiance. We both had the herb crusted Hake. I had a glass of Aussie Chardonnay with my meal.

24/09/2024: Great small bar with friendly staff. We nipped in for a quick drink (which became a few) after dinner somewhere else but wished we'd done the whole night there instead!

31/10/2024: This very great location townhouse allowed us to enter the centre of the Kinsale Community so easily…the breakfast was served in a very comfortable setting and the food was very good and a nice wide variety was available…my room was very comfortable…the staff were full of great information and proved quite helpful with requested information..

23/10/2024: Our stay was great and the building was old and but beautiful. The beds weren’t very comfortable and there was only a couple of plug ins. If you’re going for a piece history then this is your place, if you’re going for comfort then this isn’t.
