21/12/2024: Very nice restaurant in the middle of Kilkenny. The staff is very kind and food is amazing. The soup is brilliant and the wraps are very good. I highly recommend

19/10/2024: D'un point de vue français la façade ferait presque fuir (comme souvent en Irlande) mais il faut pousser la porte, c'est juste parfait à tous points de vue, ambiance, cuisine, rien à redire. J'ai fait beaucoup de pubs / restaurants en Irlande, celui-ci fait partie de mes préférés.

18/02/2025: The food was very good. The service was polite and prompt. We enjoyed the ribs and beef stew. Both were filling. We were disappointed that there was no live music but it was a very quiet Monday night.

04/02/2025: Great pub for lunch, dinner or drinks! Their Ginness Stew was the best we had in Ireland.

20/01/2025: We stumbled upon this cozy and friendly bar our first night in Ireland. We are American and were looking for a place to watch the American Football game. This bar had it on the TV towards the back. Although I can't speak to the food we did have some wonderful drinks and entertainment. We ordered a smith, a Guiness and plenty of Jameson gingers. All the drinks were great, but what made the experience was the live entertainment and the patrons of this bar. The patrons seemed to consist of many regulars or friends of the regulars. We met Charlie the bartender who was so kind to everyone including us. He took the time to talk to me about our trip and showed sympathy about the current political climate in the US. We also met other travelers and now have new friends. I recommend this bar if you are passing through Kilkenny and I hope to go back one day.

21/12/2024: This little bar is so full of life. There was live music when I visited and people singing along to songs they knew. Loved the atmosphere. I don’t think they have food though.

03/01/2025: Came for breakfast here both mornings we started in Westport. The owner remembered us the second morning and was a lovely man. Breakfast was gorgeous- porridge, boxty, scone aswell as the tea and coffees

07/12/2024: We ran into the owner, Hugh, after closing. He provided recommendations for dinner and a pint (they were awesome!) Showed up the following morning and he remembered us. After sitting us down, Hugh explained the menu and brought us coffee and tea. The boxties were wonderful and had a pleasant conversation with the locals. Hugh is an excellent ambassador for Westport.

22/01/2025: Me and my husband went in to see what’s this restaurant/ bar looks like. I only ordered soup and it’s a great chowder soup coz we just ate brunch. Bar man is very friendly and nice. The place gets busy during 12-3pm. Can bring child during daytime. Space at the back was big to watch some sports. I wish we were able to try some of the food but we just ate. Maybe next time!

21/01/2025: Soft music, low lighting, a smithwicks beer with Caprese Open faced sandwich. Vine ripened tomatoes, mozzarella, wild garlic, Basil pesto, beetroot hummus with aged balsamic glaze.

16/01/2025: Had quick lunch here on a friends recommendation and the veg soup was really lovely! Pipping hot and served with choice of roll or brown bread, plenty of seating in the bar!

31/12/2024: Vinimos a la posada Glendine para cenar después de un día en Kilkenny y tengo que decir que la comida era excelente y brillante relación calidad-precio. El personal era muy amable y agradable y no podía hacer más por nosotros y mi hijo pequeño. Ella era bastante quisquilloso con la comida y nos dieron un montón de opciones para ayudarnos, bajaron con piruletas al final de nuestra cena. Sin duda volvería. Sin duda era un restaurante familiar que es difícil de encontrar.

17/10/2024: Mis amigos caminantes y yo visitamos regularmente el restaurante The Waterside, que está muy bien ubicado para tomar refrescos después de caminar por el camino de la carretilla. El personal es muy servicial y la comida es deliciosa. Muy razonable precio también con opciones vegetarianas / sin gluten. Un montón de asientos interiores y exteriores. Los perros son bienvenidos afuera. Regalos y equipos de pesca en venta también.

24/09/2024: Llamamos hoy después de haber tenido un paseo por el río por lo que el lugar parecía tranquilo apelando desde el exterior, ya que había mesas y sillas para sentarse junto al río. El menú es bastante pequeño y cuenta con un par de platos de comida caliente como lasaña o Pollo y Champiñón Vol au vonts , desayuno todo el día y un par de tipos de bocadillos, Pitta’s y Blas. El personal era muy atento y tomó nuestro pedido rápidamente. Pedí el desayuno todo el día y mi esposa pidió la pitta con pollo en ella. La comida llegó rápidamente. El desayuno todo el día estaba bien. No estaba caliente, pero sabía bien. La esposa dijo que su Pitta también estaba bien, pero no era demasiado picante, a pesar de que el menú decía que tendría chile en él. En general le daría un 3 sobre 5 , y si volviera sería por una bebida y no por la comida ya que la comida era simplemente básica y no tenía nada de especial. Sin embargo, no podía culpar al personal.
