23/11/2025: Food for a Sunday lunch was poor, loads of staff talking but not working. TVs on but volume turned up far two loud. Will not be returning here and bad sign if they have 2 doormen on duty at 3pm during the day.

10/12/2025: If you're going just go for the carvery, don't bother with à la carte in the evening. Russell's used to be GOATed but in recent years the prices have gone up and the portions have gotten smaller. Still a good carvery though, the chicken curry is great.

22/11/2025: Great food, great value You won't leave here hungry. Great selection of carveries on offer and they really fill your plate. And it's good food and very tasty. Excellent value. Would definitely recommend and return here again.

23/11/2025: Having opted for somewhere to eat that we'd never had experienced before, I can honestly say that'll be my first and last time having food here. Food was on the warmer side of cold. Steak sandwich was poor, baguette was small and hard/stale, steak was minimal and barely warm as were the chips. Daughters chicken wings were a ridiculously small quantity for a mains having had chicken wings in several other establishments in Limerick city with a larger quantity of wings for far less money and better quality. My wife's beef burger was pretty similar to my steak sandwich. Glad we didn't go for a starter and definitely weren't going for dessert having had the disappointment of the mains. Staff were pleasant but it's first place I have dined in that I hadn't been asked either while eating or having finished a meal, "if everything was okay". Anyway, won't be back

18/11/2025: Service was a little slow, given that we had submitted our order in advance, but having said that none of our group of 21 had any complaints about the food.

07/12/2025: Had an absolutely amazing night at Bobby Brynes! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was fantastic fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The live music added the perfect touch, creating such a lively and enjoyable vibe throughout the evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience seamless. Definitely one of the best nights out we’ve had in a long time can’t wait to come back!

26/11/2025: Was in your pub recently. Very disappointed. Not as comfortable when previous owners had it. The carvery very disappointing. It was cold.

26/12/2025: Average place for coffee. Matcha was so grassy - it’s either bad quality matcha or they don’t know how to make it. Oatmeal cookie was fab. It can be packed on busy day. I recall having to wait to be seated and took a while to get the food. By the time I had my full Irish breakfast, it was a bit cold and just doesn’t feel fresh.

22/12/2025: Came for breakfast while I waited for a hospital appointment. No option to remove meat from breakfast burrito to make it vegetarian friendly. Ordered scrambled eggs on toast and the toast was barely warm. The table next to me also had the same problem. It was warm bread as opposed to toast. The eggs were more akin to a chopped up omelette than scrambled eggs

10/10/2025: Been smashing cream buns here for years—soft, loaded, and no skimping on the good stuff. Pastries? Crispy like they mean it. No fluff, just proper baking. If you know, you know.

24/08/2025: We came from Serbia for 5 days in Ireland, this was our third day and so far the best meal we have had. It's not long for me but everything is homemade and delicious. Thanks to the hosts.

25/09/2025: Excellent breakfast. Wide selection of sweet and savory options. Everything we tried was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful, patient with my parents, who didn't speak English and had trouble choosing what to order. We were staying at the hotel across the street and easily walked here since breakfast wasn't included. Recommended!

31/10/2025: *A lovely not-too-brightly/dimly-lit, not-too-loud radio & a not-at-all very much less than hotel/hostel standard *The service is well presented (so-much-so) real, non-plasticised, cutlery (🍴) *The prices are of a usual standard although it is a little out-of-the-town-centre but quite close to King Johns Castle..., with quality to match

30/07/2025: Just passing thru Limerick and wanted some coffee and tea. We ended up with that and a breakfast roll. The food was amazing as well as the service. A must stop if your in the city centre.

14/12/2025: Excellent food, good prices, generous portions. My compliments again to Edit, who surprised me by speaking perfect Italian and giving us excellent advice on food and our short visit to Limerick! If you're Italian and want a break from English, ask for her.

15/12/2025: Had a work lunch here today, the menu was fabulous - starter, mains and dessert for €40. Food was unreal, service excellent - overall a great afternoon
