11/07/2025: Ate here twice for dinner. First time steak and all the trimmings which was excellent and the second time seabass which was slightly disappointing. Skin soggy and sauce salty. Mashed potatoes like i remembered from my schooldays. The restaurant was elevated from 4 to 5 stars by fred my waiter who was absolutely excellent. If all restaurants had a fred then diners experiences would be so much better.

29/06/2025: I was on holidays in the area with my elderly parents and daughter, I saw the reviews online and decided to try Russells for Sunday dinner. It didn't disappoint. We had the roast dinner, chicken curry and childs nuggets, plus desserts. The food was gorgeous, service very friendly, portions big and price very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

13/03/2025: Amazing spot for food . We had a family celebration there today. We had a set menu. The choices were excellent. The drinks menu was very good . The staff were very attentive . The restaurant was so relaxed and an amazing venue for a gathering. The views from the restaurant were amazing. I would highly recommend this venue for food and drink .

13/07/2025: Had breakfast here and found that they use good quality ingredients and the staff very friendly. Cakes and breads fantastic.

07/06/2025: Went in here for breakfast with my friend and daughter this morning. We waited 15 mins for someone to take our order. We order 2 regular breakfast and pancakes for my daughter. We waited 45 mins for the breakfast to come. In the meantime we got our coffee and tea I had asked for a small cup and milk for my daughter no sign of it coming so I had to ask again. When we nearly had our breakfast ate they arrived with our toast. Service was so poor and the food wasn't great either. Won't be returning

01/06/2025: We visited McGettins on our first night in Limerick. It was the restaurant/bar inside our hotel, Limerick City Hotel. We actually were going to go somewhere else but they gave us a $5 voucher per person upon checkin. It was a great business move, because it did entice our hungry tired selves to just venture down there instead of go outside of the hotel. We went around 6:30 pm and there were minimal people, most likely due to it being a Monday night. I ordered the Carbonara and my partner ordered the fish and chips. The food came out very quick, within 10 minutes of us ordering and it was very hot. They were both delicious, I even preferred the fish and chips here to the one I ordered at Locke Bar down the street the next night. We also ordered an Orchard Thieves for the first time and it was refreshing and not too sweet for a cider. I took off a star for service because we were a bit confused how it all worked. We were told to sit wherever but weren't sure if we were supposed to go find someone to order or if someone would come to us since both servers/bartenders were behind the bar. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere though with comfortable seating and fun decor.

16/06/2025: Staff very nice but it takes forever to get your food, we have waited over 30 minutes + 10 min to order. If you are looking for quick breakfast forget about this place. Food was nice. Prices crazy

11/05/2025: The staff were great, very friendly, and the food was delicious - we had their smaller version of the full Irish breakfast, and some coffee. Very cozy interior, loved seeing some of the historical decor.

19/04/2025: If you have money to throw away go to clancys for breakfast 2 full irish 2 kids portions and 2 very small glasses of orange the toast didn't arrive till breakfast was almost finished and as far as a friendly atmosphere is concerned forget it total cost = 65 euro I won't be going again.
