The best restaurantsof irish in Limerick

30/03/2024: Food is excellent. Coffee v good, love the 'mug of Americano" option. The decor is in need of doing & seating is haphazard, but it does say they are currently under renovation, so future is bright. Minor complaint on ham hock hash, different plate shoukd be used, a lot of orange going on & doesn't do the food justice. Quality otherwise & highly recommended

03/04/2024: Very disappointed with lunch. Menu was limited. I had Duck on colcannon. Nothing else served to enhance the meal. Duck was served on bed of colcannon. Colcannon was not hot. Duck lacked flavour. There was a thick heavy sauce served with Duck. Sauce did not enhance the Duck in any way. I was treating family members who were visiting me to lunch so it was very disappointing Desserts and coffee were fine . The young man who served us was very professional .

31/03/2024: Charming restaurant with great food, friendly caring, accommodating staff and dog friendly too. Stopped here on trip from Kerry and my large dog was welcomed and we’d a quiet corner to enjoy a beautiful goats cheese salad and cottage pie. They even brought a water bowl straight away for the pooch who lapped it up!

17/03/2024: Been there first time and experience not the best we been waiting for our food for about an hour . I order spicy chicken wings definitely not spicy and it was more like from lidl freezer. Nice place .

03/03/2024: There is a SERVICE CHARGE already included when you get your bill. Yet, when you go up to settle your account, you are "pressurised" by a message on the card reader asking if you want to add a "gratuity". I found it intimidating!

21/02/2024: An ok spot very popular for weekend nights out, gets cramped quickly but upstairs is nice, Drinks are very overpriced, ordered a jagerbomb and was only given a shot of straight jagermeister by this rude inconsiderate barman, Refused to pay 10 euro for that, Luckily the barmaids are nicer and do a good gin and tonic as well as some deals on shots, they are completely bipolar with ID some nights they will leave anyone in but yet they turned me and my friend who were over 20 away for no reason, bar staff are completely rude or completely nice it’s pure 50/50

18/02/2024: Literally love this place I've had two amazing nights here. The Red Hen signature cocktail is the best one I've ever had and the atmosphere is amazing everytime. A great spot.

31/03/2024: Great food... Great service.... Lovely place inside... A lot bigger inside than it looks on the outside.

20/03/2024: Food served quickly, staff were lovely. Parking was a bit tight but got a space.

02/04/2024: In 2 words- tasteless and uncomfortable. I have to say, the area is wonderful, in between beautiful lake and historic places, but as a pub serving food is shameless for the business of restaurants in general. I have to say that in 10 years in Ireland is the worst-burger-most-dry-ever-made burger I ate. The service was far from comfortable since I ordered a Beamish and the answer could be, "no I dont have", or anything. But "This is not Cork".. to be honest, I dont care. I am not Irish to enter in disputes. I only wanted a Beer. Guinness is from Dublin as far as I know.. and what I took finally. The carving of Turkey was 1 SLICE, - just 1 - tasteless. A pity, because I always like to explore new places but sometimes you find this places that survive because they are "the only pub open there". Ah, forgot to say, €16.90, the burger, €14.90 carving. I felt scammed for what I ate. A Mc Donald's would be better solution and almost 1/3 price.
