21/07/2025: We visited yesterday - the day of the All Ireland Hurling Final. We called ahead and asked if we might watch the final round of the Open Championship on one TV. They were very accommodating to our request and kept the drinks flowing throughout our time (4.5 hours) there. I had one of the best burgers I have ever had and the chips (French fries to most Americans) were crisp and nicely seasoned. Given everyone but our group of four were not watching golf, they couldn’t have been better at making us feel welcome.

04/08/2025: Stayed for one night bed, breakfast and dinner with my good friend. We had 2 single rooms, bed and pillows were so comfortable. Everything catered for in the room. Fabulous old world charming building, with its own orchard and garden growing herbs, vegetables, flowers etc. The food was amazing. Dinner menu had varied choices to suit and was presented so well. The homemade bread was fabulous. I had scallop for starter and Monkfish for mains and a rhubarb dessert. All delicious. My friend had a fish starter and rack of lamb. Potato and vegetable served on the side along with a cheese board. Food was fantastic. We really enjoyed our evening. The owner John Edward hands on approach is wonderful, a true professional 👏 and to all his team. There was a personal friendly feel. I would definitely go back there again. Great value for money. It would be a very special place for a small wedding, family get together, or friends gathering for a night or two. We bumped into old friends of mine who joined us in the drawing room for a great catch up. Added bonus to our lovely stay at The Mustard Seed. They accept blue book vouchers too.

24/08/2025: Been here a number of times for a pint but last night we celebrated my mother’s birthday so went for dinner. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff and service were the standout as they were really helpful about arranging for a birthday cake if I needed and when I brought one from outside they were on the ball with bringing to the table bang on time and even gave a great rendition of “Happy Birthday” to my mother’s surprise (shock, maybe :)) Can’t say enough about how great the staff were. Will definitely be back.

17/08/2025: Walked in on a Sunday morning to get breakfast, after being on the road for four and a half hours. Arrived at 11.43 am the Bar man said breakfast was finished. It does say breakfast from 10 till 12. Very disappointed.

03/08/2025: We ate here on a Sunday at 11:40. We were sat quickly and then forgotten about for 20 minutes. A server who wasn't ours then took our food order (our server then came by admitting she forgot us). No drinks offered except the warm water that was placed on the table when we sat. My wife ordered the pulled chicken burger, I ordered chowder and my boys got pancakes. Chicken and pancakes were fine. chowder for absolutely AWFUL. Watery consistency, Closed and dirty mussels and an overall bad taste. Never asked our opinion by any member of staff. I have left feeling sick

30/07/2025: We had a fantastic meal, the roast beef was excellent, as was the meatloaf. We told the waitress about our home exchange trip, and she loved it.

11/08/2025: Popped in of a Sunday, it was busy but the Waitress did everything to seat us as promptly as she could, while also accommodating a big event that was just about to happen. The food was what we grew up with. Your basic Irish meals done proper. The Pub is a lovely setting that in corporates Food and Pub life well.

11/05/2025: The staff were great, very friendly, and the food was delicious - we had their smaller version of the full Irish breakfast, and some coffee. Very cozy interior, loved seeing some of the historical decor.
