01/03/2026: Busy place , would suggest to have reservation, we was just driving true the village and be lucky to get table , very happy to find this place accidentally... perfect spot! amazing food! , great service with stunning view for lake. Will be back soon!

30/12/2025: A very pleasant and spacious place with a beautiful view. The food was very good. It's a shame dogs aren't allowed. We hope this will change, as it's a good thing!

13/08/2025: Didn’t eat here, but wouldn’t go back for drinks. Bartenders were not friendly at all and refused to make mixed drinks for Americans, but then made them for their friends who ordered right after. One acted as if he didn’t know what Tito’s vodka was. They had great live music and a lively crowd, but a very unwelcoming bunch. Americans should skip this spot and spend their money elsewhere. One of the few pubs the group had anything negative to say about.

23/07/2025: El mejor regalo que me he hecho fue una cena en solitario en George V. El equipo es acogedor y atractivo. Aprendí sobre vinos de Paul Fogerty, sumiller jefe. Recibí sugerencias encantadoras en el menú de Andrea, mi servidor. El ritmo era apropiado para saborear cada bocado de comida de la finca ricotta al inicio del suflé de frambuesa (vale la pena el tiempo para prepararlo) como el final de una comida maravillosa. IT fue una experiencia que realmente fue un punto culminante para mi estancia en The Lodge at Ashford Castle.

03/07/2025: Cenamos con otra pareja. La cena es un acontecimiento. El personal de servicio fue excepcional. La comida es artística, lo que significa que las porciones son únicas y pequeñas. Espere gastar mucho. También desayunamos en este restaurante que estaba bastante bien y las raciones eran mejores.

15/03/2026: Myself and my husband had been waiting ages to try this hotel and spa and to be honest, it's not really worth the hype. The spa was amazing, I'd come back to the spa, we got couples treatments and it was absolutely worth the money, we thoroughly enjoyed the spa. I feel like the rest of the hotel relies on the spa and the river views. The room was 320 euro on a Friday, it was a "deluxe" room.. it was pretty basic and you could hear snoring and coughing from neighbouring rooms. The food was good but again, overpriced for what it was and the side of veg and bread was extra. Staff were lovely and accommodating.

02/03/2026: I popped in for breakfast. Definitely the best breakfast in Ballina. Fantastic views of the River Moy and friendly staff.

25/02/2026: Website menu and prices outdated, waitress bored and incompetent, food on menu didnt match food received, complaint not acknowledged and no solution given. No manager for the whole night to speak to. Wouldn't visit again.

14/12/2025: We had an amazing birthday meal here. The food and service was 10/10. I would highly recommend the duck and the Tiramisú! The manager Peter made us feel so welcome.

02/03/2026: Great staff. Had gorgeous room with bath under a skylight. Perfect place to stay when attending any event at the Arts Centre just down the street.

09/02/2026: I rang today to book accommodation for two work colleagues. Rather than speaking directly with the hotel, I was routed to a call centre where the agent struggled to pronounce the town and county names. When I explained that the price (€225 per person per room for B&B) was higher than I was looking to pay and tried to politely say goodbye, the response became quite pushy, with repeated sales tactics and even a claim that no other rooms were available in Ballina within a 15-mile radius. This was clearly inaccurate — there were plenty of rooms available, and I booked my colleagues into the Twin Trees Hotel for €99 per person per room for B&B, where a friendly local staff member handled everything quickly and professionally. If this is the experience offered to potential customers, it’s disappointing. High-pressure “last room available” tactics are ineffective and off-putting. We were not stuck for accommodation, and even if those truly had been the final rooms in Ballina, we would have chosen to stay in another town. This experience fell well below expectations.

29/07/2025: We had such a lovely evening here with old friends. The food was spectacular. My friends all had seafood which was incredibly fresh and delicious, while I opted for what was the best pizza I have ever had outside of Italy! Could not recommend highly enough.

25/07/2025: Great service by Eve & Excellent food by Orla - Seafood medley was delicious, mussels starter plentiful & pizza fully loaded - wine menu good & our 8 year old Granddaughter had a visit with the cats on the Patio - hope to get back soon again - Thanks so much 🙏🏻💚❤️

08/02/2026: The Manger that served me was extremely friendly and helpful. (Male manager maybe mid to late 30's.) Really tasty burger. Shame they don't do Gluten free options though.

14/01/2026: Our weekly go to and can never fault a thing , management and staff are exceptional and always take time to chat. Some days can be hectic but our coffees are always served with a smile and hot. Yes sometimes tables may not be clear straight away but often cleared shortly afterwards. The condition some customers leave the tables and walk out the door i would hate to see there houses. Keep doing what ye do best Costa Breaffy we always come back !

04/01/2026: Went in at 9 am, main door was opened, but was toldnt when inside, they won't be serving till 9.30am, so was very disappointed
