20/04/2025: I’ll start with the staff at the dungeon: amazingly helpful, fun and vibrant people. They made our first night at Ashford a joy. The food was incredibly tasty and the vibrance of “The Dungeon” was fantastic
01/04/2025: Grand! Delicious Steak Tartare! One of the best I’ve ever had! OMG 😋And the cut of the week cooked to perfection! Dessert cheeses with honey 🍯 and pear compote.. wonderful, tasty picks and combinations of flavors! Service was excellent! Thank you Anthony!

11/05/2025: Located in the quay of Westport. We stopped in for a light lunch. We had a dozen oysters we shared, they were terrific and so fresh. I had the best ever seafood Chowder and the Guinness was delicious. We will be back!

08/07/2024: Was brought to Susie’s Bistro in Tubbercurry Golf Course for a Sunday luncheon with a friend, and from start to finish, you couldn’t find fault with the service or the food.
Would definitely recommend Susie’s Bistro for any occasion as it’s 5 star service.
The roast beef is simply delicious 😋

03/02/2025: Played this fab course for the first time this weekend. Every hole is unique. The views are amazing. Certainly a challenge. Called into the clubhouse for a pint and a bowl of soup after and I must say the staff in the bar and indeed the Pro Shop were very welcoming and so friendly. Will definitely be back to play one of the other courses.

22/04/2025: Food was super tasty and reasonably priced for Westport. We got the Lobster ravioli and the steak sandwich. The menu was bilingual Irish-English, which was lovely, however, servers didn’t appear to speak Irish, unfortunately. That being said, service was still brilliant. Cosy and traditional with a modern spin - very trendy.
18/04/2025: Don't order fish and chips here. The fish is fried for far too long and is therefore dry and sometimes so hard that you can't even eat it all.
After I pointed this out, no redress or anything like that was offered.
It was literally the worst fish I've ever had at fish and chips.
Very unfortunate.

29/04/2025: The Merry Monk has a large parking area, and inside, there are lots of tables it gets very busy around lunchtime and for Sunday carvery.
The food quality is good. the portion size could be bigger .
21/04/2025: Highly recommend for a stay. Beds and rooms very comfortable staff all lovely and the food is top notch
