13/07/2025: A lovely warm Irish welcome which was well received and the food was fabulous. I opted for the bacon and cabbage and a pint of Guinness. A lovely atmosphere and so friendly.

10/07/2025: This place is wonderful!! I had the Traditinal Irish Stew, which was perfectly seasoned. Staff we're very welcoming and friendly. If you are in the area, I cannot recommend this place enough! I hope to one day be able to return.

08/07/2025: Went to the reg today with my niece . I had a main course portion of goats cheese salad it was very nice but I had a job to find the few crumbs of goats cheese that they put in the salad. The staff were so nice and helpful. But I paid 18 euros for a plate of letus.

29/06/2025: Shamrock Restaurant Dungarvan Located just off of the Square in Dungarvan, there is plenty of on street parking as well as parking in the square and surrounding areas (paid parking) The Shamrock Restaurant has a light airy feel, and although it can get busy at peak times, it doesn't feel overcrowded or claustrophobic. The perfect balance of maximising their floor space, without making it feel too cramped The Service here is very efficient, as can be seen if you visit at peak times, where tables are turned around in a prompt efficient manner ensuring that they can accommodate as many customers as possible, yet you are not felt rushed once you are seated. I assume it is the owner, who is ever present, overseeing the customers and staff, making sure that no detail is missed, and that everybody is looked after. Obviously a very popular spot for breakfast, and is testament to how well it is run and operated. The Breakfast here was great quality, and the tea and toast plentiful One of the few places that serves toast in a toast rack.. Not that counts for anything but most places now just serve toast in baskets, the toast rack was a great idea, especially as it takes up less space on the table! The prcies here are very reasonable, and certainly represent great value for money, given the food you receive. Main courses coming in about €12 /.€13 on average. Well worth a visit!

13/07/2025: Really nice hotel...old fashioned charm and service...stayed on a DBB package and ate in the Bianconi restaurant each evening...food and service were excellent. Hotel presented us with a voucher as part of our package...giving us free access into the main attractions in Waterford...including a factory tour at the Waterford Crystal factory..

11/07/2025: Fiona, Fionn, Jasmine, Ava, and the entire team at The Granville are a staunch reminder that the hospitality soul in Ireland is above the rest. The hotel itself is LOVELY, perfectly situated for walking to shops, popping out for dinner (or staying in) and has beautiful views from the room. 35 minutes from the Mahon Falls, directly on the Greenway (amazing bike/walking trail +94 miles total), and 25 minutes from the beach, what’s not to love! What sets the Granville apart from any other hotel in the USA is their attention to detail, kindness, and openheartedness. Everyone we met, from the F&B team, to the housekeeping team in the halls, to the lovely crew at the front desk, we were delighted to be greeted like on of their family. They are a green hotel, so all throughout the room are tips and tricks on how to be a more eco-conscious traveler, as well as info on what TGH is doing to reduce their carbon footprint. If you like big box hotels, this isn’t the place for you. I WILL be booking again, and would encourage everyone to do the same - you will not be disappointed.

04/08/2025: Security in the pub are incompetent, was there with my partner recently, some drunk fella took our seat and refused to go despite us politely asking him, bouncer (young tall dude with the beard) did little effort to move him away and then shook his hand and started being rude to us told us to go away. Would never recommend this place

27/07/2025: A great atmosphere on a Friday evening. Had the Cajun chicken burger and shoestring potatoes. Both were amazing

23/07/2025: We skipped the tour and went straight to 1837 for lunch. As vegetarian’s we didn’t have high hopes but were pleasantly surprised by the taste and freshness of the food. Plus the Guinness was perfect as expected.

22/07/2025: After visiting the Guiness Storehoue, we decided that we want to eat a chocolate mousse and maybe something else as well. They informed us that the restaurant is closing in 45 minutes, so we should take this into consideration before ordering.. We ordered a cheese platter and a chocolate mousse. The platter came fairly quickly, the cheese were good, the cracker was not much for this amount of cheese.. Then we waited 20-25 minutes till somebody came to clean the table and ask us if we wanted anything else. As the chocolate mousse still did not arrive, we just kindly told them that we are still waiting for the mousse. In about 7 minutes they brought us the mousse, which was probably quickly put together, and there were huge chunks of chocolate inside. You cannot call this a mousse.. The view was very nice from the table so we could enjoy that part.
