03/11/2024: Incredibly good beef roast 💯 and also the beef stew was amazing too - a great atmosphere and vibe too - met the owner and his sons who were super cool too - one of my friends that came said the food was like a hug for his belly - go there u won’t be disappointed 👍🏻

27/10/2024: Dear Cove Bar Team, I am writing to express my disappointment with our recent experience at your establishment. We had high expectations for our visit, but unfortunately, the service and overall experience fell short from beginning to end. Initially, when we tried to make a booking by phone, we couldn’t reach anyone despite several attempts. Understanding it may be a busy spot, we decided to go in person. However, to our surprise, the bar and restaurant were quiet, yet the staff member handling bookings was nowhere to be found. When we finally located them, they were sitting at the bar with a customer deep in conversation. Our booking was taken, but it certainly didn’t inspire confidence. On the day of our reservation, we noticed other patrons were also dissatisfied. The couple next to us left after waiting over an hour for their food, and a young family nearby also voiced complaints after a similarly long wait. When we ordered drinks, one glass arrived with lipstick on the rim—an oversight that certainly affected our experience. After waiting 30 minutes to place our food order (due to the kitchen being temporarily closed), we weren’t checked on or offered additional drinks. Once our food did arrive, there was no cutlery provided, and at the end of our meal, we weren’t asked if we would like dessert. On a positive note, the food itself was nice however the entire experience was disorganised, and I felt it necessary to bring this to your attention. 19/10/2024: I love everything about The Cove Bar. The food is exceptional and the staff are so good.

16/10/2024: The staff were extremely helpful, polite and accommodating. The bar was very busy but they all made the time to acknowledge we were there and take our orders. The food was plentiful, hot and tasted amazing. Our plates were full. Would highly recommend calling in for lunch or dinner well worth the visit and you never wait too long on your food.

10/10/2024: This is a must visit bar and restaurant when visiting Waterford City. The food is excellent, well presented and reasonably priced. Both Helen and Johnny are a credit to the establishment. Their attention, speed and above all their interest ensuring customer satisfaction is second to none. Such a central location with great atmosphere. Looking forward to returning for your famous chowder.

26/10/2024: The bouncer and staff are sound. Let me bring a (small) dog in to the outside seating area no problem. Even though we were rejected from the place across the road. Good chill atmosphere and an all around nice pub. Will go back again.

07/10/2024: So far, this is my favourite bar in Dungarvan. Staff are very accommodating and the inside is beautiful. I would recommend The Local if you want a relaxing drink in Dungarvan.

30/09/2024: Great casual spot for food and drinks. Burgers and the menu have their own Waterford twist on them with the naming of it. Staff are always very helpful and welcoming. Pints are also good here. Food is good and very fair value.

30/10/2024: Atmosphere on a fairly quiet Tuesday evening but we were really looking for that. A sublime choice of crafted beers. Personally I was able to taste a particularly interesting oyster stout and an excellent OHaras 51 state. Rock music for people my age, quite nostalgic for the 90s 😂. Edit: second evening here. Fu.king good playlist! Even my 20-year-old daughter, a music expert and student in Waterford, thought it was amazing! And my beer is still just as good!

31/10/2024: Absolutely loved our stay in the granville hotel ,the staff are absolutely amazing and the food is outstanding from bar food to the restaurant, the hotel itself is a wonderful old building that's so warm and comfortable and very convenient to all Waterford has to offer ,we will definitely return to this wonderful hotel and its warm friendly staff.

07/10/2024: Upon visiting waterford for business purposes I popped into the hotel for breakfast. It was 09.57hrs , the lady at the desk stated to make our way over to breakfast room that it was served at 10.00hrs. On making our way there a staff member in the breakfast area asked what were we doing here and we stated we were directed this way for breakfast . I have to say she was the most ignorant member of staff I have ever met told us to get out that breakfast isn't served until 10.00hrs and this was at 09.58hrs. She shut the door behind us. We therefore left and won't be returning. It takes nothing to be nice to people, and we felt like a total inconvenience to the hotel especially this staff member.

25/10/2024: What can I say? From the second we walked through the door we were greeted by the lovely Mae who had a little glint in her eye at the amount we ordered.. The menu was too good that we couldn't choose. Between the two of us we ordered the Scampi AndChips, the Ling AndChips and the Fish Tacos. We were pleasantly surprised to see some nice stools and a counter to eat in and even happier to see they did glasses of wine with your meal!! Honestly, from start to finish you couldn't have wished for a better meal. There were only a few chips remaining when we had finished. The quality of the fish is unparalleled, extremely fresh and flaky and cooked to perfection. The scampi was the standout to me while my partner loved the ling. Mae made us feel so at home and we had great chats with her and the chef! This is an absolute MUST if you visit Dungarvan. Don't miss it! The price point was fantastic as well. Literally could not fault it. Thank you so much Mae and the team. We will 100% be back.

06/10/2024: Absolutely delicious food! I had heard amazing things about this place and it did not disappoint. Fish was incredible, flaky and tasty. Chips were delicious. Not a massive portion but so much fish it was the perfect amount. Nicest fish and chips I ever had and will be back soon. Ps they are really friendly and helpful! Thanks for the lovely chat
