06/08/2025: Course was OK very soft to walk around in places ,but great day out ,and the rain stayed away for the 22 players in my group.

01/08/2025: After our tour of hook lighthouse we had coffee and iced cake. The service was friendly and clean and not expensive . Very refreshing to relax.

31/07/2025: Oh my good lord - the chowder. We came as a group of friends, did the tour and stopped for lunch. Between us we had the chowder, fish and chips and the open face prise sandwiches. Chowder - thick, packed with prawns, chunks of potato and fish. So flavoursome. Fish and chips - to quote my friend, “Oh my God, how do they get the batter so light and crispy and the fish so moist?” Open face prawn sandwich - piled high, lovely brown bread. I’m gluten free and the bread that came with the chowder was so good I had to check that it was definitely gf. Genuinely not had a gf bread so good in years since the epic gf restaurant in Pisa. And we lucked out on the weather. Sunshine and soft breezes.

22/08/2025: Tables were sticky. Place felt dirty and old fashioned. Hardware supplies hanging up on one wall and stuff everywhere. Pulled pork was dry as a bone. Coleslaw was "substituted " with 1.5 baby potatoes rubbed around in some mayo and called "potato salad". Lamb dinner dry . Curry served in a bowl I haven't seen served that way since the 90s. Staff not very personable, but to be fair very young. Overall felt fairly cheated out of my money.

05/08/2025: Lovely spot, does nice takeaway. Could do with better signage for the menu when getting a takeaway as very hard to see the options.

18/08/2025: Just passing through the other night coming back from Hook head. Stopped in for a burger 🍔 and chips it was absolutely delicious 😋.

10/09/2025: Very anti-dog. They're supposed to stay alone in the car amidst the hellish noise of the car alarms that aren't turned off, and the sea swells are constantly going off.

18/07/2025: I had the kids fish and chips and it was great portion and tasted amazing. My nanny got a spice bag and it was amazing aswell. Staff were really friendly.

03/09/2025: We had our wedding recently on Friday 29th August 2025 at The Upton Court Hotel. Thank you so much for helping John and I have the most magical wedding day. We are so grateful for your professionalism and the warm, friendly atmosphere you created for our guests and us. Shane and Beverley, you both were incredible during the planning process right up to the big day itself. You both were always so professional, quick to reply and friendly. Both Shane and Beverley went above and beyond for us to ensure we had the best day. Shane checked we were ok and that everything was the way we wanted on the day numerous times too, which was really appreciated! The staff at the hotel were lovely and ensured everyone was looked after. The food was absolutely amazing!! There was also no problem at all in facilitating those with dietary requirements. The teamwork of the hotel made everything feel effortless for us, allowing us to enjoy every second! There was plenty of space for our cake, selfie mirror, band and dancing!! The bridal room was beautiful and spacious with a double jacuzzi bath. The amount of compliments we received about the hotel, food and staff have been unbelievable! We also got some beautiful photos at Wells House which is only a short drive from the hotel. The house and grounds are stunning and make the most amazing backdrop for photos! 10/08/2025: We stayed for 4 days for the Fleadh. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't served till 9am but they accommodated us with a continental breakfast for two mornings when we had to be gone early. We ate in the bar on two evenings. While we had to wait a while for the food, it was worth the wait. No complaints there! The hotel decor is a bit dated and could do with a makeover but it didn't affect us in any way. We would stay again.
