18/03/2025: I have been going here for a number of years and have always raved about their food, on my last visit it was so poor I would not be inclined to go back. It has gone quite expensive but I don’t mind that as what they were serving used to be such good quality. Last visit, fish (haddock) was grey & dry, looked as if it was frozen & old, batter was still liquid underneath as it was too thick and had not cooked properly. Chips were ok. I did let the server know I wasn’t happy, she said she’d let the kitchen know. So disappointing as it really used to be a highlight when visiting Kilmore quay.

24/02/2025: Brilliant chipper - great value for the battered haddock and a massive portions of chips for the price. The tartare and sweet chilli sauces were excellent. All that let it down was the value on the fresh scampi - a small portion for the price - and the onion rings which they openly admit aren't home made, but at €3.10 for 6 frozen onion rings, the portion just needs to be bigger. Nevertheless, will definitely be back for the fresh fish and chips.

13/03/2025: My friend and I went there for lunch. We ordered lasagna to go, but it didn’t look like lasagna, and it was cold.

04/03/2025: A very nice decorated place, with allot of space for dinners/drinkers with nice staff and service :-) I went there for a drink with few friends, so, didn't try the food, but I will surely be back to try the food... to summarise... a nice place for a visit :-) visited again this morning for a coffee and the espresso was very good! :-) I went there 15 min before opening and was served with a smile :-) sometimes that what makes the difference when deciding to revisit a place :-) thank you June :-) one more thing to add.... the coffee has improved :-) a very welcoming place... worth a visit and.... the coffee is still good :-) very nice and special atmosphere during the festive season, made the visits even more enjoyable and the staff is superbly nice and welcoming... indeed s fun place to visit,,, recommended :-)

05/02/2025: Howth resident. I have been going a couple of times a year since the late 90’s. Today I asked for a baguette. I ordered turkey, the slices were very thin so I asked for approximately 8. Along with cheese and onion. I refused the offer to have it toasted. I waited at the til where I was told it was €7 and they toasted it anyway. I repeated it was NOT to be toasted. She remade it on the wrong bread and slapped it together. Staff needs training. We will not be revisiting.

12/01/2025: Great selection of food for takeaway lunch, but they spent way too long toasting the rolls, my roll was almost burnt when I had it

11/03/2025: Hi there, we visited recently and had three sausage rolls and 3 teas. I'm just wondering why the sausage rolls arrived tepid and not hot. Pastry soggy. I didn't question your staff on this because tbh, you're in the food service industry and should know better. They were a nice flavour but the experience was not good because they were not cooked properly. And , over €30 for 3 sausage rolls and 3 teas....expensive I think. I also noticed a woman having soup near us, my god the portion of soup was small, could you spare it...seriously you need to do better.

10/02/2025: Kelly's is by far our favourite cafe in Wexford, but the dirt of the glasses and the sugar bowls leaves a lot to be desired.

18/02/2025: Ten of us met up here for dinner including 4 kids. Food was really lovely and the table was at the window with views out over the river which was fab. We went on a Sunday so booked in ahead as it was a large group. The service was a bit slow but we didn’t mind really as they were busy and we were chatting and catching up anyway. Not cheap but worth it. Kids even got to choose ice creams (mars and iceBerger) from a freezer as their dessert 😊 loads of parking out the front at the river and also a nice walk down along even if not going into the famine ship experience.

16/02/2025: Arrived on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Nice place with friendly staff. After we were seated we were informed that two of the dishes were not available. We ordered the roast beef and were then told it was gone. We ordered steak only to be told that was gone as well. Very poor kitchen management.

31/01/2025: Picked the restaurant using apps recommendation having never dined in Gorey before. Restaurant was empty when we arrived but quickly filled up and I can see why. Menu was excellent, food was as described we really enjoyed our rib eye cooked as ordered and my lamb was sublime. Staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient, could not say a negative word about our experience.

01/10/2024: Staff very friendly. Service was fast but didn't feel like we were being rushed, quite a relaxed atmosphere. Food was lovely, albeit the portions were not very big and expensive for what you get but main reason for losing a star is, despite saying vegetarian/vegan options available there was one main, a stir fry with a bit of rice which was also vegan but there were no vegetarian starters, I was able to get one adapted by asking for no parmesan cheese, which is not a vegetarian cheese, and they obliged but overall disappointed with there being no choice. We did not get a dessert as none of the options really appealed to us. It also wasn't marked what ones, if any, were vegetarian, cheese cake, trifle and tiramisu being three of the options that sometimes contain gelatine.
