The Dough Bros

19/12/2025: Dough bros better than any Italian pizza I’ve had north of Rome. The dough was so fantastic. The toppings all Irish, the ham and mushroom is something I will think about everyday for the rest of my life. Being in Galway on a cold rainy day, enjoying a steaming hot garlic bread fresh out of the oven with their made in house ranch. I wish they paid me to write this review, but the truth is I’m doing it for free. Probably top 10 pizzas I’ve had in my life.
18/12/2025: Can't understand fascination and a long queue to this place. Was at their place in Galway. Had Christmas edition pizza, I think it was the first pizza I've tried, so salty that couldn't finish the slice. Later on decided to give it second chance and ordered some for the ordinary menu, wasn't that bad just good enough to eat, can't say - enjoy.

08/11/2025: I had a beautiful gluten free pasta dish in Osteria de Simone. The helpful staff explained that almost all dishes could be made gluten free. They would use gluten free penne pasta for the dish.
I ordered Mare e Monte and it was gorgeous. Prawns and mushrooms in a creamy parmesan sauce. A gluten free sign was in the dish to ensure that the correct dish went to the correct person. Great for a coeliac to see care like that taken.

We ordered from them via just eat because of the good reviews, but it was a complete disaster.
Order placed 7pm for 8pm delivery, so plenty of time.
As the order was still not here 20:30 we called and just got a yeah we busy so thats how it is, seriously?
Food arrived 9:05pm so 2 hours after ordering and over an hour late and was of course cold.

01/09/2025: Just back from this Gem of a place. We ordered the Ruspante and A Veggie Calzone .
Stunning food, will definitely be back and will be recommending.
Staff were super lovely too.

01/12/2025: This place has gone downhill since the era of Fat Freddys. Chewy chicken, arrabiata was more like sweet and sour sauce than traditional spicy Italian. Waiting staff friendly but food needs to return to previous standards. I didn't appreciate reggaeton music playing all of the time.
30/11/2025: The waitress, Emanuela, is very kind and polite, and friendly with everyone. The Italian food is very consistent with authentic Italian cuisine and is very good. Recommended by an Italian.

29/11/2025: We live locally in the area and we tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. All three of us ordered vegan dishes. These were the best pasta dishes we have ever eaten. I ordered the beetroot pesto which was delicious. Even the vegan cheeses they used were very good. It was so nice to see so many vegan options available. We will definitely go there again.

30/11/2025: Maybe one of the worst italian food experiences I ever had. I went for classical Sicilian dish - Pasta Alla Norma. And it was more than disappointing. Use of garlic and strong garlic taste is key in this dish, I am afraid I did not taste any of it at this place. Also I as I noticed egg plants were not deep fried before adding the to the sauce, and there were no any fried onces on the top either.
My friend’s lasanga was as miserable as my pasta dish.
Staff were indifferent and bit rude, I assume that is how they wanted to create Italian kinda vibes there. Maybe good idea would be starting with the food’s taste though.
22/11/2025: Great food and experience overall! Just the smoothie, is actually more of a sundae/iced smoothie.

01/11/2025: Wow, so glad we visited this restaurant, as it was delightful! We had planned on going to Milanos but as it was booked out, I found out this place was good for gluten free food, so I chanced it. I'm so glad we did, as it had so much more character than a chain restaurant. Both regular food and gluten free food was really good. The coeliacs had margherita and buffalini pizzas and ate every last bite, another had the mushroom pasta which was large and delicious. The regular folk had diavola pizza and a sausage pasta, again both delicious. For desserts we had a double chocolate mousse (SOOO good) and a gluten free chocolate cake which wasn't on the menu.
The service here was great. I was delighted to have an actual Italian person serve me in an Italian restaurant!
If I lived in Galway, I would be here regularly. Enjoy!
29/10/2025: A good alternative to the other Italian restaurants, some of which are completely overcrowded and, in my opinion, can't be that much better if you have to wait over 30 minutes.
We had bruschetta with fresh, crusty, warm bread and fresh tomatoes, followed by a pizza and ravioli, both of which were delicious.
