The best restaurants in Tralee

11/09/2025: The place is upstairs. Well presented. They have an outdoor area as well. Do not serve alcohol but do serve drinks and zero alcohol. They do zero corkage byo. The place was not all that busy, maybe half full. The food was very prompt, being served in only 10 mins. The servings were quite generous and very tasty.. good selection on the menu.

14/08/2025: Ordered a Sirloin steak medium rare and I was given a minute steak, I was not Impressed at all. When I told them at the counter she agreed it was on the smaller side but still insisted I pay the full price. There was also a bad after taste of the mash also. I couldn’t not finish my diner. This used to be my favourite place to eat. I can say I will not be returning.

16/10/2025: Great hotel very clean, loverly comfortable bed and great rain shower. The staff in the bar are very friendly and knowledgeable. Reception staff are great too as is the breakfast service.

13/10/2025: What wonderful staff, great kitchen and the room is top class. I also enjoyed taking advantage of the Leisure Clubs amenities.

24/10/2025: best pizza in tralee 100%, the big chief is the best option

15/10/2025: The worst chicken I have had in years, it must have been sitting there all day, I would have brought it back but I had gone to next job. I will stick to my favourite places in future, the food is always fresh, ten euros for two pieces of rubber and a few chips, better value elsewhere.

14/10/2025: Had a fabulous takeaway from here, the service was very quick and the staff very nice. The crispy pork was absolutely lovely. I would definitely go again.

22/10/2025: I ordered jasmine tea, Chinese dumplings, steamed, the wonton soup, and the duck with Szechuan sauce and a side of noodles. The service was great! I think they do a lot of take-away orders, so they were busy but I arrived around 5pm and the dining room was empty. I was sat near a window and the server brought over a gas space heater since I was rain-drenched! Shortly after ordering I was brought the tea, a small pitcher of water with lemon, and a basket of large shrimp crackers, possibly house-made! The dumpling skin was thin and the ingredients tasted fresh the wonton soup was in a approximately 12 oz cup and was full of thinly sliced carrot, cabbage, and wontons. The duck was crispy and the sauce was mildly spicy (for me) and in generous portion. The noodles were thin and well-seasoned with veggies, and the whole side dish had wok hei! I stayed for a while to digest and wait out some of the rain and the staff was patient and did not bother me. By the time I left there were about 4 or 5 more tables sat. The whole place was very clean, including the table ware. I was told about this place by my Chinese Air BnB host, and it did not disappoint! Total bill was around €39.

03/12/2025: First time ordering from Sunshine Palace and I will definitely be ordering again. The staff are a delight to deal with. I have been eating Chinese food since 1979. I ordered two different dishes and a side. Everything was perfect. Quality and quantity. Absolutely delicious!10/10

17/06/2025: Awful. Pizza wrong twice . Rude on the phone. And only a partial refund given . Ordered a chicken mushroom and red onion pizza. This is what I got . Correct label on box. With wrong pizza. Wouldn't order from here.

01/11/2025: Went here because of the good reviews I saw. Ordered a burger and a Chicken Tikka. Not authentic, no flavor, very disappointed and a total waste of money. Don't believe the good reviews, save yourself the disappointment and eat somewhere else.

19/08/2025: Nice fish and chips €19 sit in or €13 for outside, I went outside and still got moved from outside 👎

16/08/2025: They tried to make me pay more than I owed them, see the attached pic. Pay attention. And the waitress were rude, even after I confronted them on their "mistake", faking smile behind her words "I am terrriibly sorry". Fish and chips were not even fresh and not cooked as described in the menu. The fries were still cold inside. The price was way too high for the quality and quantity anyway. To Avoid.

30/10/2025: Truly wonderful, delicious food here. But mediocre coffee, would not recommend this place for coffee. Great staff!
