29/12/2024: Incredibly good Food, Service and Atmosphere really recommend the Apple sponge for dessert it is delicious 🤤. The Live music is really nice and creates a great dining atmosphere the staff is friendly and accommodating.

30/11/2024: We really enjoyed our visit to Carrick and the Oarsman. The atmosphere downstairs was vibrant with lots of punters enjoying their weekend. We ate upstairs and it had the added bonus of a very talented gentleman playing an acoustic guitar. He played a wide range of instrumental tunes subtly in the background that had my foot tapping away during the meal. The staff were really friendly and on top of their game. Service was fast and they knew exactly who ordered what. Their home breads were delicious and so were all our starters, mains and desserts. The choice of wine and beer will suit all taste buds. Overall this is a really good gastro pub on top of its game and worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood. We were a group of 8 and all of use said that we would be back. There was a group of 30, a number of couples and ourselves upstairs and everyone had a smile on their face and enjoying themselves. We are nearly an hour's drive from Carrick but it's worth the trip. 21/12/2024: We recently enjoyed a fantastic afternoon Christmas party in Buffalo Boy. We were a group of 26 from our dayservice and every one of us had a great time. The staff team are just amazing, the interactions and fun that was had with all our group was heartwarming. We were accomadated in every way possible, from the time being changed to suit our group to the perfect seating area .Our group choose to have a private party in the beer garden. The decor was gorgeous and the place was so cosy with all the heaters, we even had to ask to have them turned down as it so so nice and warm, staff attended to that immediately when asked. Some members did not want to sit with the large group and again that was not a problem they were accomadated in a quieter area of their choice. We even had our own D.J and danced the afternoon away. I haven't even mentioned the food yet! What can I say.!!. with a large group , between us I'd say every single dish on the menu was sampled and everyone loved what was served. Personally I choose the gorgeous beef cigars. My main was the absolutely delicious polenta chips and the tastiest pear and almond tart for desert. I could not fault any element of the meal. Our group wereall so happy afterwards. Everyone had a fantastic time.It was a wonderful start to our Christmas holiday, and I hear chats about wanting to have our 2025 Christmas party in Buffalo Boy too.. We are already looking forward to it.

30/12/2024: Didn’t call ahead my mistake. No bother had a beer across the road. Sat down half a hour later. Exceptional staff great service. The meals were freshly prepared with tasty ingredients and perfectly cooked. We had calamari pizza pasta and a burger so we tried a great combination. Happy to recommend

15/12/2024: My wife and I was passing by and was looking for somewhere to have lunch and sees little hidden gem in the Market square. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had the sourdough cheese tostie and the house salad, both of these were delicious and made to perfection. We would highly recommend this place and we would call again.

11/12/2024: Really tasty food with huge amounts of flavours. Nice atmosphere and lovely waiting staff . The only improvement I would suggest is to serve better quality chips as that was the oby thing I didn’t like

27/11/2024: I went to the Red Bank for my birthday with my wife and daughter, we had their steak, a cocktail and barbecue chicken wings as a starter. As far as fine dining I think this is one of the closest you will find in Carrick-On-Shannon and Leitrim as a county, the service was top notch and they had a child chair for my daughter who is a toddler. The steak was great and the plating and presentation was very good, only downside was some part of my steak was a bit chewy. Their cocktails are to die for, myself and the Mrs had two different cocktails and we were impressed, the chicken wings came with a barbecue sauce and some infusion dressing, it was a winner for me. Overall 4/5 Stars. Great experience and value for money.

05/01/2025: Okay. The Steak Koftas were remarkable. Literally so because I’ve just finished and I’m leaving one of very reviews I’ve ever been bothered to do. Absolutely remarkable.

22/11/2024: Really friendly and helpful staff, good tasty and reasonably priced food in a comfortable and well designed bistro restaurant in the Main Street of the town. We were made welcome and seated quickly on a freezing cold night in this warm and cosy restaurant. The food arrived quickly and was well cooked and there was super attention to ensuring it was gluten free for one our party.

20/10/2024: It’s a long time since I had eaten here and I was hoping the food was as good as I remembered….we weren’t disappointed! The service was great - quick and friendly - and the menu had some good choices and a wide variety. Would recommend the homemade chicken curry and spaghetti bolognese in particular! I’m pleased that Cryan’s has maintained its high quality over many years and will be definitely going back there again when we next visit!

04/10/2024: I love this place - great location on the Shannon, the best staff, great sized rooms, and Cryans traditional pub out the back is full of character, with Trad music every week. Every time we visit the Republic (at least once a year), we stay here.

20/11/2024: Coffee is overpriced and nothing special at all, you'll usually have a bad stomach after it and the food passable. No value for money and the staff can be rude at times. I'm a local but seldom visit here.

11/12/2024: My wife and I were overnighting in Carrick on Shannon and decided to go to Flynn's for a drink before she went to meet friends for a meal. We went in at about 19:00h and the ambiance and decor was lovely as were the bar staff who recommended a nice red wine for me. The tables were lit with real nightlight and the decorations were not overdone. It was a lovely experience in a lovely pub

03/01/2025: Me and my friends went here for New years, bouncers on the door are too much asking for two forms of ID we are all in our 20’s btw checking our phones to prove our Id is ours.. ended up being overcrowded they just let anyone in especially all the younger crowds it was ridiculous.. my sister bag got robbed and no help from bar staff or the bouncers all so rude lucky she found her phone everything else had to be replaced. We rang up next day girl on phone was so rude… Dunnes needs better staff ! It turned me off going there again which I have been before … next time we will go to another pub. Dunnes has definitely gone downhill pity as it was a good spot not anymore. Would not recommend 👎🏻👎🏻

14/12/2024: Went upstairs, good atmosphere, the upstairs was kind of open air and I had to stand beside the heating.

09/12/2024: Stayed here 2 nights as attending a wedding. Good hotel, well run. Staff are competent & professional - in other words, they are well trained. The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent!

03/12/2024: Lovely place to meet someone for a coffee or lunch or whatever.
