06/04/2025: Made a reservation in The Oarsman for lunch and was really impressed. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was spot on, friendly and efficient without eber feeling rushed.
The food was excellent. You can tell they take pride in what they serve, fresh ingredients, great flavours, and everything really well presented. It’s a step above your usual lunch experience, but still feels comfortable and down to earth.
Definitely one of the best places to eat in Carrick-on-Shannon. Will be back for sure.

08/04/2025: We ate here for a stag do. The food was incredible and the service even better.
Mary, in particular, was fantastic and happily went through the menu, double checked our order and never let us run out of water.
She later gave us recommendations on where to head next and for the rest of the night.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back next time I find myself in town.
06/04/2025: Group of 15 family just had a beautiful meal here. Everything exceptional. Our waiter was so nice and attentive.

08/03/2025: Delicious steak, wonderful pizza, delicious salad, wonderful dessert. Everything is very fast. The staff is very polite. Very pleasant, cozy atmosphere. I definitely recommend it.
24/02/2025: It's always great to experience great Italian food accompanied by beautiful Italian wine (and my gorgeous wife, of course), but what made the dining experience truely excellent was the care and attention provided by Ivan and his waiting staff.
The restaurant is cosy and inviting, the aroma sets your stomach to rumble mode, the engaging and knowledgeable staff make you feel you've made the best decision with your food selection. Class.
If you haven't eaten here, do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience.

20/10/2024: It’s a long time since I had eaten here and I was hoping the food was as good as I remembered….we weren’t disappointed! The service was great - quick and friendly - and the menu had some good choices and a wide variety. Would recommend the homemade chicken curry and spaghetti bolognese in particular!
I’m pleased that Cryan’s has maintained its high quality over many years and will be definitely going back there again when we next visit!
04/10/2024: I love this place - great location on the Shannon, the best staff, great sized rooms, and Cryans traditional pub out the back is full of character, with Trad music every week. Every time we visit the Republic (at least once a year), we stay here.

26/01/2025: We had the daily special baked fillet of cod. The meal came out fast and was delicious. We also had coffee cake and red velvet cake for dessert which were also delicious. The service and atmosphere were wonderful. We would highly recommend this fine restaurant

03/03/2025: Have been goin to Vittos since first I accidently discovered it a year ago. I have never been disappointed in the food or the service. The portions are generous, the pricing is fair and the staff are always so nice. Its my favourite place to eat!
