The best restaurants in Carrick-on-shannon

09/01/2026: No word of a lie one of the best pizza i've ever had . The dough they use is unreal. It's clear this place only uses the freshest ingredients. Also all the staff are incredibly kind and friendly . Would highly recommend this place when visiting Carrick On Shannon.

04/01/2026: Very cozy restaurant with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. I would especially like to thank the staff for their kindness and understanding 💛 I forgot to mention my basil allergy in advance, but they were incredibly caring and changed the dishes for me without any problem. Everything was handled so calmly and warmly, with genuine concern. We left with only positive impressions

22/12/2025: This was my second time there, it's a lovely restaurant and the staff are super, esp the young lad serving on our table. He had a brilliant personality, a manager in the making. The celeraic and chestnut soup was divine, mains & dessert was also beautiful. The only thing I would change is the lighting, too dim, i could hardly see the menu. Apart from that it's worth a visit .

20/12/2025: From the moment of entry ourexperience was very positive. Our party of 14 were so well looked after. Excellent service. Very friendly helpful staff. Food was beautiful. Lovely comfortable atmosphere easy to talk. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

24/11/2025: Extremely poor food. Staff very slow to complete payment process and I also was given incorrect change. I received a chicken burger with 2 dry pieces of chicken in a plain bap. Came along with a pea sized portion of chips for an extortionate price of close to €20

31/10/2025: This is one of the best places in the area. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The food is sensational and highly recommended. The owner, Bashkim, also paints beautiful pictures that can be admired there.

19/10/2025: The food wasn't our cup of tea. We chose the restaurant because it looked very nice inside and out. The service was really good and attentive. Unfortunately, the stir-fry and the carbonara weren't good. But we would give the restaurant another chance and try a pizza.

01/11/2025: Very nice cafe, but crazy expensive for what I got. €4.50 for sausage roll with some crinkle cut crisps. At best very ordinary. Pot of tea was good. Has me questioning if I am back in the boom times. Money for nothing and your crisps for free!!

29/11/2025: Went to Carrick for a couple nights while visiting Ireland with my family. It was a quiet Tuesday night and stopped into Cryan's for what was supposed to be a nightcap after dinner... but didn't leave until closing time thanks to Jordan's excellent hospitality!

15/12/2025: Flynns is a very nice local pub in Carrick-On-Shannon. We have been there a few times. Recently we watched a rugby test there, SA vs Ireland. The place was full and the atmosphere was grand!

29/11/2025: Here for a hen and it was a great laugh. Chris was really lovely and accommodating and ensured we were very well looked after. Highly recommend!

20/08/2025: We popped in randomly for dinner last night and oh my god!!! The food was incredible, and for the price it's amazing value, the staff were so friendly and attentive.

31/12/2025: Good evening fellow bushers, My friend and I stayed in the Bush on the 30/12/25. We originally had an apartment booked for 6 but only two of us could make it on the day. They were understanding and could not issue a refund as we booked through booking.com. However, they granted us a compensatory breakfast for the inconvenience (which we badly needed from the night out 😂). Overall, the stay was lovely. Beds were comfortable, and both receptionists were lovely. The food was amazing shout out to the chefs - bit pricey- but alas we move. Finally, the young bar man (Jon Joe) was very attentive and friendly…made the bar an inclusive warm environment. Finally, I would like to thank the manager for assuring everything was okay the following morning, I willl definitely be returning, Regards Luke. . Happy new Year bush 🎉
