28/07/2025: Great value for money Staff are fantastic good atmosphere all round great experience. Being there many times and can't fault anything about it. Dinner menu has a great choice of food. 100% everytime we call in.

26/07/2025: Superleuk plekje voor een High Tea. Het ziet er fantastisch uit en smaakt heerlijk. Wel reserveren en cash betalen. Vooral alle frutsels en kleurtjes zijn erg leuk qua aankleding. Bijzonder.

13/07/2025: Hubby and I paid Ruby Ellen's a visit today, it was fabulous. Food was great, staff brilliant, and the quirkiness is fab. We will certainly be back, I highly recommend this spot.....keep up the good work guy's & gal's 👍

27/07/2025: The food, atmosphere and kind, Italian staff brought us right back to Italy. The food is authentic, full of flavour and the pasta is truly al dente. We tried the bolognese pasta, seafood tagliatelle and an absolute winner: anchovies spaghetti. The tiramisu was equally incredible, dense and delicious.

30/06/2025: Thank you so much for hosting our group of 13 on Saturday night. Our bride & gals had an absolute ball of a time. Couldn’t have asked for much more. Thanks for accommodating our vegan girlos. Absolutely stunnin’ food, authentic Italian all day long! Great prep ahead of our brides Italian wedding in September ! X

20/06/2025: We always love this place for food but I have to say that the smell of oil fumes can be overpowering at times. Even in warm weather it's there and I notice a pellet stove up further which cannot cause the fumes. I also notice that nobody from the establishment doesn't answer reviews which Imust say is not very business like.

03/08/2025: We were a party of nine, the service was quick, the food was amazing and great portion sizes. We had a number of different dishes and all said the food was delicious and great value. Would 100% recommend dining here.

27/06/2025: Stayed here on Saturday 21st June 2025. Carlingford itself was busy and the weather was lovely. Rooms were fine and very clean bathroom and shower were perfect. The bed was lovely and comfy. Had a few drinks in the bar on that night and was very enjoyable. They had music in the bar which was easy listening and the bar staff were very good too. The only thing I was disappointed at was the breakfast. The menu had a good selection of cooked breakfast but there was no cereal or juice to be seen anywhere. I had the full irish which was lovely but if you only wanted cereal it didn't seem to be available. One other thing to note was that there is no lift. All the rooms as far as I could see are on the 1st floor, wasn't a problem for us but for anyone incapacitated or wheelchair users this would be difficult. Overall this is a lovely place to stay, right in the centre of Carlingford. A good base if you wanted to explore the north east of the country. This place is good value for money as the price of hotels in Ireland has got very expensive in the last couple of years. I would have no problem staying here again.

03/08/2025: Dundalk has been fortunate with some really good Restaurants this past few years but Square restaurant has be number one. The quality of food is next to none with the atmosphere and the staff both excellent. Worth a visit.

11/06/2025: We booked the Bay Tree for my sister's hen party dinner. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We had the private room at the back which was just perfect, and allowed our group to enjoy each other's company without feeling like we were bothering other customers. The food was also beautiful. Most definitely recommend!

04/06/2025: Absolutely tasty food. Great service and warm atmosphere and cozy interior. There is beautiful masterpieces on the wall, by Irish artists, you could by if desires. We e spend lovely time in this restaurant and had unforgivable dinner. Thanks❤️

31/07/2025: Struggling to find a restaurant in Drogheda open for lunch we came to Casanova and were very happy to find it open and even happier to enjoy an excellent lunch. Between us we tried pasta, salad, grilled chicken and tiramisu and they were all excellent. Note there is no alcohol licence here so bring your own. Recommended.
