21/06/2026: We waited 40 minutes for mediocre food. I’m pretty sure they brought in the groceries for our dinner about 20 mins after we ordered. Keeping in mind the restaurant was open for an hour at this stage. The the tables and the water jugs were all dirty. The toilets were dirty and had no designated lady’s facility’s. We were also brought the wrong food. To top it all off at the end where where dull charged a 10% service fee as we where a table of 4 ans then they only accepted cash.

06/06/2026: We ordered langoustines, but received mussels and shrimp. When we objected to the bill and were offered a €10 discount, the boss came over to tell us that “this is what we call it” and demanded his €10 discount back. We refused, though; we really do know what langoustines are. Otherwise, the taste was okay.

28/05/2026: Best takeaway in Drogheda, food is always amazing and the very few times theres been an issue with my order, the staff are always willing to rectify.

It's a request to you guys at least change the recipe for each dishes I have tried many curry dishes and every one of them taste the same. You are serving people food so please some justice to the money that they are spending. Thanks

14/07/2026: The younger woman on the till taking orders was extremely ignorant, really rude. The cod was soaking in grease and the chips were soft and mushy, almost wet. Avoid at all costs!

12/07/2026: I was asking about the food options and prices before ordering, but the staff member's response was rude and unprofessional. I was told to "go drink water or something," which was disrespectful and made me feel unwelcome. Customer service like this is disappointing, and I won't be ordering from here again.

07/04/2026: Used to be the best place in town for Indian food but has gone seriously down hill. As other have mentioned the sauces are like packet soups. Bland with no flavour. Haven’t been in years and won’t be returning unless they up their quality. Disappointing.

29/06/2026: Went to mcaris today to get a battered sausage and a milkshake. it was fairly busy but i just waited patiently. after 20 minutes the man gave me my milkshake and i said thanks and continued to wait for my battered sausage. after 10-15 minutes the man goes to me sorry what did u order again? i said i ordered a battered sausage and he goes okay sorry 2-3 minutes. i didnt mind at all since they were a little busy. a girl came and before she handed me the battered sausage she went on the till to charge me but i had already paid and i said i already paid. she says rudely no you didnt i said yes i did. and this was in front of everyone in the shop including people that i know. i said yes i did and she goes to ask one of the workers he said no i didnt. i told her i paid the guy with the piercing. and she huffs and throws me the bag over the counter. i walked out of there feeling so embarrassed which was not fair and a show was made.

15/06/2026: I came in and got a bag of chips and a milkshake, the young lady with the brown hair that was preparing my food was very welcoming and the food was delicious would definitely visit this branch again.

02/06/2026: Absolute Dirt. Chicken fillet burger with two tops of a bun. Yellow lettuce and cheap mayo.. stay clear... Dirt of shop. Staff rude.

30/05/2026: I have been getting takaways from Chicken Hut for many years now.lt has improved immensely in the last 6 years.l had stopped briefly as l had noticed the quality of food had declined.They have been consistently good with their food since renovations and menu changes in last few years.l have never once had a problem with service.l have known some of the staff for many years and l have nothing but respect for Rizvan who delivers and is an absolute gentleman.Lisa who takes the order is such a nice lady and goes above and beyond her job with regards to service....she cannot do enough.l obviously can' t comment on what other customers who felt that either food or service or attitude was not acceptable....but l have a rule whereby l feel if respect is given by a customer to anybody in any service industry or restaurant .......99.9% of the time we will get it back.l understand if an order isn' t correct ,its how we as customers approach the matter with calmness,not hostility..... many errors can be resolved with a respectful approach to the matter.( Yes,l get it ,if we are hungry or rushed or even stressed ourselves,we need to take a deep breath b4 reacting).Obviously no rudeness is acceptable but it takes 2 humans showing each other respect for a good outcome in any situation in life.l would like to Thank Chicken Hut staff as l got to know you and watched the business improve over the years.lt' s incumbent upon us all to extend kindness,then we will in most situations receive kindness back!Also Chicken is much better than a well known brand l won' t mention!!!

30/04/2026: Ordered food from here yesterday..food was absolutely disgusting..chips covered in lard and tasted strongly of animal fat chicken dry and overcooked potato scallops made with oily batter and no potato filling..When I phoned to resolve matter I was met with extremely abusive and insulting staff member claiming to be manager/owner named John..He was so abrupt and ignorant and had no respect or care for customers and no shame in what he said and how he spoke..Truly a vile and ignorant individual..Should not be dealing with any customers whatsever ..Shame on this business shame on this member of staff!!!..Will not eat from this business again and would advise others to take note also!!!

04/03/2026: I've ordered from this place a few times and each time there is an item missing or the wrong toppings. I always place order instructions and they are ignored each time, things missing and when I call, no one picks up.
