The best restaurants in Louth

02/05/2025: Saw a 1st year puffing a lost Mary in the bathrooms, was smoking like a sprinkler. Curry sauce had a load of lumpy scutter, no taste in it at all Chips were extremely oily, bleedin shambles. Also veggies tasted of pure rubber, like tyres. Desperate.

21/03/2025: Kitchen legend is up there with the best Chineses in drogheda for sure, I never had any issue ordering from here for years don't get it as much since I bought my house on other side of town but still do get it the odd time. Sweet and sour chicken is my favorite it's absolutely amazing. Loads of options on their menu they aren't the cheapest around but you'll always get good quality food they rarely make a mistake with orders don't think I've ever had a mistake with my order. The spice boxes are the best in town. Especially for picking at if friends are over or anything like that. Cracking Chinese give it a shot you more than likely won't regret it!

02/03/2025: Was here tonight 1st of March,we had no booking, arrived at 17.45 looking for a table for 3 and immediately the tall older waitress said we need the table back after 1 hr and 25 minutes, no welcome or hi folks even though the restaurant was empty,the tall Chinese man served us and he was lovely and attentive and we gave him a great tip,lovely man,miss miserable needs some public relations education..still a great place to eat and will visit again....

23/02/2025: Unfortunately, we may have caught them on a not so great day. Brought to our table and waited 10 minutes to be handed menus. The restaurant was not busy at this point in time. Another table was observed requesting menus when they had arrived also. Upon drinks requests, my partner was handed a bottle of Chinese beer. She had to request the glass. On to starters, the chicken and sweetcorn soup was very good. However, my partner was handed vegetable pancake rolls which felt were missing chilli sauce as is standard in most other places of this cuisine. Things didn't get better for her going forward. Enter mains. Her sweet chilli chicken was very difficult to cut into and extremely dry. After trying it myself, I can confirm that this dish was definitely reheated from the day/night before. On a positive note, my baked chicken in Portuguese sauce was fantastic. Noodles and chips were also very good. Unfortunately, my partner's experience may be the reason we do not return here again.

02/04/2025: They doing very poor service, foods have no taste just waste of food and time and also money. I recommend to don’t visit and don’t waste your money here.

15/10/2024: One of the bullshit service I ordered the pizza it took more than 1:30 minutes to get it delivered when I call the shop they said ‘you can cancel the order if you want’. Dominos has better food service and better food. NEVER AGAIN.

09/02/2025: So long waiting for food, it is disgusting pizza and food undercooked, my chips fell I went back in and asked can I get a replacement and they said “so what your not getting one” rudely. The service takes absolutely ages and it’s horrible.

22/05/2025: El quiche (quemado) estaba bien, así como el salmón ahumado en pan sin gluten. La única ensalada disponible era col. Solían tener una increíble selección de 3 ensaladas. Tomé un café de la choza de afuera... y no hice más McCabes. El café no es muy bueno... tuvo que tirarlo a la papelera a la vuelta de la esquina. No regresaré.

11/05/2025: El personal no era servicial o amable ... es como si estuvieran apurados por terminar. Pregunté por un café, pero dijeron que habían terminado de hacer cafés y nos dijeron que necesitábamos entrar al café - que estaba cerrado Estoy seguro de que lo sabían, pero solo querían deshacerse de nosotros ... casi cerrando las persianas mientras pagábamos por el helado de sus hijos

23/04/2025: Awful service, I asked for 5 forks as myself and five friends bought spice bags, the man working behind the counter tried to charge me €10 and then continued to slam the hatch door in my face after I chucked over the price!!! I later rang back, the same man answered and claimed to be the owner!! When I tried to make the complaint he began to shout again and told me to listen to him!! And finished the phone call by saying “go to bed”!! Absolutely ridiculous this man should be ashamed of himself treating paying customers this way!!!

18/02/2025: Probably one of the best Chinese in the world, spice bag 10/10 satay sauce 10/10 sweet and sour 10/10

03/04/2025: I have to say that my order got a bit of 45 to 60 minutes yesterday but the food was good and the staff was good with me and the driver, thank you guys

02/04/2025: 2 hours waiting on a delivery, phones off the hook so couldn't get through and then food came freezing and looked desperate ended up in the bin could even give it to anyone a real shame as it was one of my favourites

27/04/2025: Went into Dominic’s straight after fusion. My friends and I were met with a very unfriendly staff member making us feel very unwanted, won’t be going back

27/04/2025: Went here after Fusion for food, wish we didn’t bother. From the moment we walked in the girl behind the counter was very rude and dismissive, we were met with cold and unfriendly glares immediately. She acted like it was a major inconvenience to her when we asked for garlic dip after we ordered it and she didn’t give it to us. Considering it was 2am, 30ft from a nightclub, I’d understand if we were causing any chaos after a night out but we weren’t, we were just trying to get a bag of chips so I didn’t see her problem with us (3 girls). We won’t be coming back here, clearly not wanted!

30/11/2024: Asked for chicken curry but got onion curry , seriously very poor portion of chicken

02/11/2024: Really disappointed with my last order. Preheated food was chewy. Delivery driver asked for extra delivery fees even I paid for delivery charges when I placed my order online. Horrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend anymore..

02/03/2025: Do people still go to this Chinese? Heard a poor lad saying he used to get paid €60 for a busy Saturday and had to split his tips with the rest of the staff—to help the owner afford a Mercedes to drive. It’s an absolute disgrace!

01/03/2025: Fantastic food, fantastic staff,we had a meal there Friday night no hassle fitting us in even though we hadn’t booked and restaurant was full.the range of gluten free food was amazing and our waitress Wendy was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and food intolerance, the staff were very friendly. We would definitely recommend the gourmet palace for its welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness, toilets were spotless.definitely a 10 out of 10. Looking forward to our return visit.
