02/03/2025: Do people still go to this Chinese? Heard a poor lad saying he used to get paid €60 for a busy Saturday and had to split his tips with the rest of the staff—to help the owner afford a Mercedes to drive. It’s an absolute disgrace!

01/03/2025: Fantastic food, fantastic staff,we had a meal there Friday night no hassle fitting us in even though we hadn’t booked and restaurant was full.the range of gluten free food was amazing and our waitress Wendy was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and food intolerance, the staff were very friendly. We would definitely recommend the gourmet palace for its welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness, toilets were spotless.definitely a 10 out of 10. Looking forward to our return visit.

18/01/2025: This use to be a great place for Chinese food. Unfortunately the last 3 times half of my orders were only lukewarm to cold. I won't be going back and would not recommend it.

09/03/2025: Out for a nice walk today at Giles Quay and was peckish and we were heading to Carlingford lunch when we spotted Fergusons on the way out Well we thought we’d try this place and it was the worst decision we ever made Looked good on entry and there was a nice buzz inside. That’s where the niceties ended. We were seated and menus given out and drinks ordered, the Guinness was top notch, we ordered chicken wings for starters and they took 45 minutes to reach the table They were just okay Another 45 minutes later our main meals arrived, I got slow roasted beef with mash and vegetables my wife had battered cod with skinny fries and peas We don’t usually review food but I feel that I must warn you to steer clear of this place I don’t really know how to describe the beef dinner only to say that it was a massive plate of gooey mash with plenty of overcooked beef on top with lots of overcooked roasted potatoes and vegetables basically it was a plate of gooey mush The fish dinner wasn’t a whole pile better The service was very poor as I had to go to the bar myself on 2 occasions We ain’t hard to please but this was the worst dining experience we have had in a very very long time Steer clear

03/03/2025: Had heard good things about this bar/restaurant but was even better than we had hoped. The service was phenomenal. The staff literally couldn't do enough. Were attentive without being annoying and were so friendly. They made good recommendations and the food did not disappoint. We had the seafood tacos and chicken kumbo for dinner. Both excellent. Portions are big but that didn't stop us ordering desert which was also delicious. Had the homemade tiramisu and cheesecake. Could not fault the service and the location is so stunning. It was getting dark as we arrived but would definitely recommend a walk in Giles' Quay before/after visiting the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

30/12/2024: Part of order was missing and when I rang I was told it would be delivered and I had to pay the delivery fee,wouldn't go near them as they obviously don't care about the customer.

31/01/2025: Parece que este Café ha ido cuesta abajo desde la última vez que visité con la familia hace aproximadamente un año. A partir de esta semana, probablemente fue una de las peores experiencias de servicio al cliente que he tenido y solo iré a lugares como Avoca la próxima vez que estemos en Dublín. El lugar parecía apresurado cuando entró por primera vez, como si quisieran estar cerrados y fuera del lugar 1 hora antes. Aunque entiendo que es genial estar fuera en el minuto en que está cerrado, todavía serviría a mis clientes pedidos hasta la hora de cierre. No es medianoche como los restaurantes de comida rápida, así que el cierre no debe ser tan apresurado, ya que la hora de cierre es bastante temprano (16 h 30 o 17 h 30 ). Todo lo que parecían interesados en decir era “hora de cierre”. " La actitud del personal es negativa. Cuando estaban en el mostrador para pedir, dijeron que no hay porciones de nada en exhibición, sino solo ciertos pasteles (algunos fueron retirados de la exhibición porque tenían más de 4 días después de haber elegido esa rodaja). Mientras estábamos en la mesa comiendo y bebiendo nuestro té, alguien vino a nuestra mesa y nos preguntó si nos podían quitar los platos y el té. Entiendo que es un buen gesto para aclarar después de que hayamos terminado, pero no cuando todavía estamos bebiendo nuestro té y terminando nuestros desiertos. Para la próxima vez: Por favor, ponga un cartel en la entrada para que sepamos de antemano que las últimas porciones de comida son antes de las 15 h 30, ya que no había ningún cartel obvio para decir eso y solo había una actitud apresurada hacia los clientes. Una visita realmente decepcionante en comparación con lo que solía ser y con su servicio al cliente.

21/03/2025: Gone to the dogs since it was renovated under new management it was made to be a more sporty kind of bar, people were promised big things and what drogheda needed but didn't turn out like that whatsoever. It was a great spot before that when it was more fancish and had great music, food and vibes always packed on weekends but it's not anymore. I would avoid this place now even the kind of people they let in now prove it. Such a let down. I've been in it twice since its renovation and made the decision of not going back for the foreseeable. If you're looking for a fancish bar with good food, vibes and music Trinity quarter is your spot only a short walk down the road. Everyone I've talked to about this place doesn't step foot in it anymore. They Should've left it the way it was. And the reviews in recent times prove it so different from the reviews before the new management. Foods alright but I would still Avoid.

10/03/2025: Have been to this venue a few times over the last few years but I have to say when I was there last Saturday unfortunately the service was non-existent. When we first walked in the lady to the front didn't check our booking and just sat us at the first table which was fine. We weren't given menus and when we were we were appalled to see only 4 dishes on the main selection and not one of them was a vegetarian option. Very poor selection. Despite not being that busy the staff all seemed run off their feet because the place is severely understaffed. When we eventually got our food after waiting over half an hour we weren't given any cutlery. The food however was quite nice so can't fault that. Any other time I've been to Weavers I have had a lovely experience. This particular time has really let them down. The service was shocking and I can't blame the staff because they just simply need more staff and this will not be happening. I would also like to mention that where the computer is at the front of the restaurant the wires are stretched over under the coffee machine and it is a massive health hazard to anyone standing in that area.

01/02/2025: Hotel is used as emergency accommodation for homeless families who they treat appallingly while making a fortune off the state. They enter the units unannounced and search the rooms regularly. One mother had her wrist broken over them not allowing her to use a baby monitor as you'd obviously be able to see what staff were up to entering rooms. Can't trust this place at all.

22/02/2025: Two weeks in succession and we’re after being given stuff totally different to what we ordered - only discovered of course after getting home and opening the bag - time to go elsewhere !!!

13/12/2024: They have the best spicebag I've ever had. Collection is straightforward and easy, almost always ready before the given time. Delivery however, is a piss take. Took them 2 hours to deliver to my house less than 10 mins away. Had to ring twice after I ordered and I had lost my appetite by the time it arrived. Would definitely stick to collection.

05/04/2025: I’m prefacing this with the food is fantastic! We had booked a table for 6. When we arrived the staff were lovely and took our order. However we waited for starters and only 3 came out. The three people had finished and the server came to clear the table and we asked about the other starters and he claimed we hadn’t ordered any more. We eventually got the rest of the starters but had to ask for mains to go as we’d already been there nearly 2 hours. Also when we arrived there was a table of 3 beside us. All 3 were absolutely wasted, obnoxiously loud, racist and talking about masturbation (which is totally normal human thing) but I mean shouting it and shouting about sleeping with people and mocking the people at our table too. They were also very openly racist with the staff and it just was awful to be around. The food is delicious but the lack of respect for the staff themselves to accept such behaviour and keep feeding them alcohol and allowing them to vape inside and shout so loud will deter our whole group from visiting again. Once again, I cannot fault the food - it’s delicious but for dine in - it’s a no from us
