07/12/2025: I drove from Balbriggan to get the food from that place and I’m really very disappointed. I asked 4 Tikka kebab with 3 extra naan bread and I asked everything separate. So instead of Tilka kebab she charged me for Tikka tray and she charged me separate for 7 naan when she should changed only for 3 extra naan. I ordered 1 chips. So instead of €55 she changed €65. Pictures are attached the mount of chicken they put in the try. Looking at the chips for €3.70 it’s just unreal and ripoff. This place is scamming people in day light.

29/08/2025: Standards have dropped dramatically. Was a regular visitor to this hotel and would visit 2-3 times a year and brought family and friend regularly. My last two stays I have to say were terrible. We went as 2 adults and 2 children. First time people smoking in the rooms with the doors open I reported it and nothing happened the same the next night and was told its probably coming in from the balcony. People shouting and banging all hours of the morning and again nothing done. The quality of breakfast is probably a 3 at best where it was always 9-10 and then I was charged an extra €2 for a cappuccino at breakfast (never seen that before ANYWHERE). spoke to the waitress and was told there's a new chef and it's just been brought in.Got in touch with the hotel afterwards to complain and got 3 different people to email. Eventually the manager got in touch much with me and apologised and offered me a deal to return and to just contact him that he wants to prove it was a once off.. When I did eventually contact him for a return for 2 adults 2 children and returned it started on check in. First room we were giving was one double bed 1 single bed ,I went back to reception and giving another room and again it was 1 double one single. I went again to reception to ask was this a joke. The girl gave me keys to another room and told me to check the room first to see if it was okay. The room was downstairs and didn't feel like part of the hotel. There was plenty of beds but the double bed mattress was wafer thin and very uncomfortable. I rang reception and the other lady came and brought me to another room 512 and asked was it okay. It looked good and had the double and 2 single beds as required. The lady apologised and was very helpful. When my son sat on his bed he nearly fell off it as the base was broken, again I called reception and the lady came back and seen the bed and again apologised and went and got a base off another bed. We just accepted it as we Had Been through 4 rooms already at this stage. First morning breakfast was okay and fresh but the next morning we were waiting on bits to come out from the kitchen then got burnt breakfast and was served our milk in a teacup with not even an apology. I reported all this to the manager by email when we got home and his response was. ,thank you for your feedback.. So if that's the general managers response it says it all. Cannot see myself returning here anytime soon and can not recommend this hotel to family or friends.... Just seen this hotel is now up for sale so that explains why the management couldn't care less....

15/07/2025: The D Hotel is closed to tourists until 2027. It is being used as a Refugee Reception Centre until then.

22/03/2026: Worst restaurant food was hard wouldn't even give it to a dog.

13/12/2025: Went there for dinner. Ordered 2 main courses which were cold after long delay. Asked for potato instead of chips. Cost 3.50. Parmesan cheese coat 2.50. Bit over the top. We not offered the desert menu. Restaurant was quiet for a Friday. Have visited before and was lovely but would not go back.

02/03/2026: Food was so bad my dog wouldn't eat it dinner box reheated chip chicken was so dry it was like sawdust ordered chicken curry never seen so many onions in ,please stay way your stomach will like u. Worst chipper ever

31/01/2026: Was told 1 hour delivery rang back told it would be another half hour then after 2 hours they told me the order wasn’t put on. Always a problem with this crowd

30/01/2026: Very disappointing experience at Apache Ardee. They advertise a discount offer that can be used both online and in-store, which is clearly stated in their menu description in English. However, when I tried to use this discount in the restaurant, the staff told me that the discount is only available for online orders. This directly contradicts what is written in their own menu. That is misleading and confusing for customers. If the discount is actually online-only, then this should be clearly stated instead of advertising it as available in-store as well. This kind of inconsistency feels unprofessional and dishonest. Because of this experience, I’m very disappointed and unlikely to return.

24/10/2025: I ate there twice, the first time I didn't like it, the second time I liked it, I don't recommend the wrap, it's expensive, a small wrap costs 7€ and it's not tasty, I recommend getting the wings, they're tastier, 10 wings for 12€

02/02/2026: I got few times food here and I never got disappointed. My favorite take away in Dunleer. The staff is very friendly. Shop in general is very clean.

25/01/2026: Good food but quality not what it used to be and prices have increased dramatically over the last couple of years , been going here for many years and it was our favourite Chinese Restaurant.. but seriously needs a revamp as it's looking tired now , carpets worn and toilets aren't great , nothing done to it in over 20 odd years and it shows unfortunately.

09/04/2026: I had a wonderful first experience at Niko Japanese Restaurant, and it definitely won’t be my last. Located right in the heart of Drogheda town, it’s a fantastic spot if you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in a central and convenient location. The restaurant has a lovely dining atmosphere — clean, stylish, and true to a traditional Japanese feel, which really adds to the overall experience. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of authentic flavour. You can really tell that care goes into every dish. What made the visit even better was the service. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout, making the whole experience feel smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The only small downside is that parking nearby can be a little tricky, especially during busy times, but once you’re there, it’s absolutely worth it. Overall, Niko Japanese Restaurant is a great addition to Drogheda town. If you enjoy quality Japanese food, great service, and a lovely dine-in experience, this place is definitely worth trying. Highly recommended.

09/04/2026: Had to edit cause they fixed the issue. Food is amazing. So tasty no matter what you order. However we are always waiting well over an hour for our food, even when we ordered extra early it still arrived late. Off putting. 3 years later and it will be the last time il ever be ordering or suggesting this place to people. Waiting for 1 hour 50 minutes is so insane. They say an hour, cool I can put up with that almost 2hours after a 12 hour shift. Never again.

14/02/2026: I’m very disappointed with my recent visit. The food was not tasty at all and did not meet expectations in terms of flavor or quality. On top of that, the wait time was extremely long. We were only two adults, and the restaurant had just three tables occupied The place wasn’t fully booked, yet it still took far longer than expected for our food to be served. Overall, the experience was frustrating and underwhelming. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. Never again, I would highly suggest not to visit, Avoid this place! Waste of time and money.

18/09/2025: Rang to ask about food as it was nearly a hour since ordered. Girl that answered was lovely, when she asked whoever in the background was rude & swearing , i asked to speak to a manger “owner” and he spoke disgusting trying to say it wasnt said and it was, didnt even apologise for it either, straight up being defensive said “ i was beside her” then when i rang second time to cancel for refund because of how rotten they spoke to customers said “ i asked the girl what she said” so where you beside her or not? More lies from the buisness. you can hear it clear of how she spoke, so i dont know how i can hear it on the phone and beside her people couldnt, and then he tried saying she was talking about another order although i just asked about mine? Turned me off the place completely.

04/07/2025: Honestly bad food this place has fell off. Chips are disgusting. Who ever is in charge of putting sauces on the food must be paying for the sauces themselves because they’re so miserable. Food not cheap either will never ever order again
