12/07/2026: Waiting 2 hours for a delivery . Ridiculous embarrassing

11/07/2026: Order as takeaway a quarter pounder with cheese and a mixed salad (with more green and less onions). At the checkout I was presented only a burger. The guy with the glases taking the order acted as if I ordered wrong and asked if I want a bowl of salad. After waiting 10min for the salad I found at home that there is zero dressing on the salad. Money wasted.

08/07/2026: Staff don’t know basic information, Me and my friend ordering pizza as separate orders, I ask “how many toppings can I get” , man says to me 2 or 3?? I picked 3. Then the rules magically change when my friend orders and he says “actually you can get 4” and wouldn’t let me add another topping because it’s already put into the system. I ask for a garlic shake which is written FREE on the menu and he says “you already picked your toppings” , bro has not a clue. please train staff.

29/08/2025: Standards have dropped dramatically. Was a regular visitor to this hotel and would visit 2-3 times a year and brought family and friend regularly. My last two stays I have to say were terrible. We went as 2 adults and 2 children. First time people smoking in the rooms with the doors open I reported it and nothing happened the same the next night and was told its probably coming in from the balcony. People shouting and banging all hours of the morning and again nothing done. The quality of breakfast is probably a 3 at best where it was always 9-10 and then I was charged an extra €2 for a cappuccino at breakfast (never seen that before ANYWHERE). spoke to the waitress and was told there's a new chef and it's just been brought in.Got in touch with the hotel afterwards to complain and got 3 different people to email. Eventually the manager got in touch much with me and apologised and offered me a deal to return and to just contact him that he wants to prove it was a once off.. When I did eventually contact him for a return for 2 adults 2 children and returned it started on check in. First room we were giving was one double bed 1 single bed ,I went back to reception and giving another room and again it was 1 double one single. I went again to reception to ask was this a joke. The girl gave me keys to another room and told me to check the room first to see if it was okay. The room was downstairs and didn't feel like part of the hotel. There was plenty of beds but the double bed mattress was wafer thin and very uncomfortable. I rang reception and the other lady came and brought me to another room 512 and asked was it okay. It looked good and had the double and 2 single beds as required. The lady apologised and was very helpful. When my son sat on his bed he nearly fell off it as the base was broken, again I called reception and the lady came back and seen the bed and again apologised and went and got a base off another bed. We just accepted it as we Had Been through 4 rooms already at this stage. First morning breakfast was okay and fresh but the next morning we were waiting on bits to come out from the kitchen then got burnt breakfast and was served our milk in a teacup with not even an apology. I reported all this to the manager by email when we got home and his response was. ,thank you for your feedback.. So if that's the general managers response it says it all. Cannot see myself returning here anytime soon and can not recommend this hotel to family or friends.... Just seen this hotel is now up for sale so that explains why the management couldn't care less....

15/07/2025: The D Hotel is closed to tourists until 2027. It is being used as a Refugee Reception Centre until then.

19/06/2026: The Real Deal! Top-Notch Punjabi Karahi & BBQ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're looking for truly authentic flavor, this is the place. We ordered the Punjabi Karahi alongside a selection of their BBQ, and every single bite was phenomenal. The spices in the karahi were beautifully balanced, and the BBQ was incredibly tender and packed with smoky flavor. The quality of the food here is easily a 10/10. It’s rare to find a spot that delivers this level of consistency and genuine taste. Highly recommended!

09/05/2026: The veg food is sooo bad here.., it does not taste good at all. Even the chai tasted bad all milky. Expensive and bad taste won’t suggest to go there!!!!!

24/10/2025: I ate there twice, the first time I didn't like it, the second time I liked it, I don't recommend the wrap, it's expensive, a small wrap costs 7€ and it's not tasty, I recommend getting the wings, they're tastier, 10 wings for 12€

30/04/2026: Used to be the nicest Chinese in my opinion. Now past few times I got it the curry has changed nowhere near as nice as it used to be ,time to find new regular Chinese ...

05/05/2026: Used to be one of the best spice bags in drogheda. Got one last night and not even any veg in it, and covered in some sort of powder.

04/05/2026: I’ve ordered from here a few times over the past couple of months, and my experience has been quite different from some of the reviews here. Most recently I ordered spicy bag and a cantonese duck, and the food arrived hot, well packaged, and tasted fresh. Portion sizes were good and the delivery time around 45 minutes, reasonable for the time of day. One thing I did notice while reading other reviews is that some of the photos look very similar to the takeaways online menu images (almost like zoomed in versions especially James O'Brien and ya Vid, which I found) which is a bit odd 😅. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience and would order again.

01/03/2026: The massamam chicken curry had no shallots and was very watery. Would have been better out of a cheap lidl jar and left short an order which was integral part of the other food ordered. Very disappointed and frustrating. Regular customer. Not sure if I can trust woks for food again.

27/06/2026: Do not order wraps, they dont know how to make wraps, too much of sauce, it was like I was swimming in that, i recommend to stay with pizza, if you wanna make wraps, please employ at least Arab man, otherwise dont do it.
