The best restaurants in Louth

08/09/2025: We have to wait around 20min to someone come and take our order, at the end I have to go and find waitress to get our order. Food was ok, for that price could be better. Dessert wasn't the best, Pavlova was to hard and nothing special.

30/08/2025: I get weekends can be busy but waiting 58 mins for a telephone order is unacceptable. People also waiting to give orders standing at the counter and the phone rings and that gets attention quicker than the person that has drove in to order in person. I could go on but they won't care and nothing will likely change. Avoid

26/06/2025: Finally, a really good Chinese restaurant in Ireland! I don’t often eat Chinese anymore, as it is really hard to find a decent one in this country so wait until I am travelling. So when I was invited to Jade Garden, it was a great little surprise. You always know if a place is decent by the staff behaviour and attitude, the outside, the glasses and the internal environment. If a good level of attention is given to those areas, you can be sure it follows through across the business. Jade Garden provided attentive and efficient service, decent wine, and very tasty, well presented food. I really enjoyed the duck!!! Worth a visit. Nothing to complain about. Very good standard. Been several times since!

18/06/2025: good service but occasionally slow, amazing value for money and good food. I recommend their hot dogs in the €11.99 deal.

10/06/2025: This place does not have any gluten free options, the website says that they can accommodate,( just ask your server) No chips, burgers , nothing... so if you're ceoliac, don't waste your time...

21/07/2025: The Genoa always had a good name but today the chips were bitty and tasteless, the square cod was inedible the batter hard fish overcooked - not impressed 2 other family members agreed.The staff were so friendly and a pleasure to speak to.

13/07/2025: Other customers can sometimes be noisy or not polite to other customers. But meals and staff are polite helpful and food i well prepared and fresh... love a portion of liver with my sausage egg bacon a fries and a pot of tea goes down well.

15/08/2025: Stopped in for a bite to eat after a day at the beach. We got the 3 course menu which was great value. Service as well was exceptional. Will definitely make the trip back to visit again.

02/05/2025: Saw a 1st year puffing a lost Mary in the bathrooms, was smoking like a sprinkler. Curry sauce had a load of lumpy scutter, no taste in it at all Chips were extremely oily, bleedin shambles. Also veggies tasted of pure rubber, like tyres. Desperate.

25/08/2025: Lovely place for a sit down on a warm day, stunning garden in a handy location. Staff are brilliant and keen to help. Food is nice enough but quite pricy. Wouldn't go frequently, more as an odd treat.

11/08/2025: Have never been to this KFC decided to pop in after a bit of shopping in the retail park. Wasn’t impressed by the food or the service, I had a two piece and the chicken smelled gone off with a lot of fat and black slimy bits? My husband got a chicken burger and it was drowning in sauce, uneditable. Disappointing waste of €20.

04/08/2025: Great place to try an Irish breakfast! The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. We were a large group, so ordering was a bit chaotic, but they were very patient. The vegetarian options are also excellent.

06/09/2025: First time getting a takeaway from here. Nice food, pleasant and friendly service. Decent value too. Will be back.

22/08/2025: Food is terrible. The worst versions of everything. How do you mess up chips, or rice? I don't know, but The Kitchen knows. Awful.

11/09/2025: Got a pizza not.even cook and pure slop in the box use honestly wanna be ashamed of you food very bad never again and chips and chicken are not great either this is second time this happen not good service at all stay away

20/08/2025: Ive spent €1150 in ardee apache pizza and once or twice the food wasnt great quality, I ordered a triple decker box and 1 or two other things of which were very poor quality, no sauce on the pizza , burn onion rings food was cold it wasn't acceptable for an order of €50 , I called the shop to explain to balinda who answered the phone very rudely and told me if I had even taken 1 bite of the food i would not be getting a refund how can you tell if you dont taste it I tired to explain she kept talking over me I had to call the shop 26 times in order to get a refund the woman called me names horrible names and said that the driver would be taking photos and if any was eaten no money would be returned when the drive came I was so upset he was a lively Lithuania man who apologised to me for the way balinda spoke to me she told me never to order from them again or call into the shop because of I did I wouldn't be getting served she threated to call the guards on me for calling asking for a refund I got my money back but left almost 10€ with the driver for having to come back out wasnt his fault he was shocked checked the food and seen it wasn't eaten and had no problems taking it back I have never been so insulted and spoken down to like that in my life .

14/06/2025: Got a family dinner there. It was a quick visit. Place was clean and tidy and food was grand and service was quick.

05/06/2025: I mistakenly ordered the wrong pizza and Roma's made a mistake with the other pizza. I agreed with the lady on the phone to call back for one replacement pizza. When i returned the 'boss' came out and put me over the order again and said 'give me my pizza...where is the pizza?' I explained that the kids already started to eat it but the vegetarian in the family has no pizza. The cashier chimed in...'so you ate the pizza?' I said..."this is just not worth it". A very rude man. I live locally and it'll be the last time I step foot in Roma's. I like to promote the area and the establishments but that behaviour is ridiculous. I ordered a pizza down the street in Feeley's. A great place with decent staff AND THE PIZZA WAS FAB!
