19/06/2026: i waa fed up getting crappy processed supermarket meat so i decided to pop into this fantastic butchers. i bought a nice big gammon and the butcher cut it into steaks for me. omg. absolutely top quality at an amazing price. done in air fryer with chips peas and egg. this place has almost every meat you could want except they were out of crocodile steaks. see you again. they also have a deli counter.

03/10/2026: Always unfortunate that Google does not allow half stars. The Moorland (by McCluskey's) is a true town institution, a cherished landmark and a must-visit for anyone seeking good food in Drogheda. In a town that has suffered years of decline and the loss of many local favourites, The Moorland remains a constant, serving quality food with the consistency and warmth that have made it part of the community fabric. Never quite high end with very average coffee,, hence the missing half star, but still one of the town's enduring success stories and somewhere I would happily recommend time and again.

04/10/2026: Too much pepper! Pepper drenched mash and the 1 roastie was disgusting. Paprika coated and tough with hard potato inside. Meat was decent but everything else particulary the cold undercooked carrots. 1/5. Stay away is my opinion .

27/06/2026: This restaurant definitely the best in Carlingford, and great value for imaginative, fresh, perfectly executed food. Crab creme brûlée was a delight, the oysters deliciously fresh and seafood seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend this friendly, unpretentious place that serves food to be proud of!

08/08/2026: Great place for food and excellent staff. This pub is a few minutes walk away from the cluster of pubs in the centre and probably doesn't get the crowd it deserves. Food last night was fabulous and breakfast this morning was too. Also, very well priced. The crab claws were beautiful. I highly recommend walking a few minutes down the road to this little gem.

25/10/2026: First time here since restaurant moved to Clogherhead. As usual Mr owner/chef as rude as ever! Arrived at 7.08 for our table booked for 7.15 and he made a big deal about us being early, great welcome. Got Brusetta for starter. Was not great. Not much flavour off it and the bread it was served on was bland. Got Clogherhead prawn pasta for main course. Nice flavour but the prawns were tiny. It was like each prawn was cut in 3! Fast forward to getting ready to leave our table after paying and leaving a tip, my mom had popped to the toilet and the owner/chef came over to advise us they close at 10pm on a Sunday. It was 10.12, it was quite obvious we were ready to leave. There was another table celebrating a 50th and they left just as my mom was going to the toilet and nothing said to them! I won't be handing over my hard earned money again to this establishment as he made it clear we were not welcome! I would have brought all of the above to owner/chefs attention but he us renounded for rudness so what was the point. I had just hoped he might have mellowed with time, clearly not.

Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail helped make our wedding planning stress-free and our special day truly unforgettable. Nothing was too much trouble, and her dedication gave us complete confidence that everything would run smoothly. The venue looked beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Our guests had a wonderful time and have spoken so highly of the day. We are incredibly grateful to Alina and the entire team at The Fairways for helping create memories that we will cherish forever. We would highly recommend The Fairways to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

21/06/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the Fairway Hotel. The staff were warm and attentive from check-in to check-out, always quick with a smile and genuinely happy to help. The accommodations were comfortable and well-kept, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Saturday night entertainment was a real highlight — lively, energetic, and exactly the kind of fun atmosphere you hope for on a trip like this. And the breakfast spread the next morning left nothing to be desired, with a great variety and quality that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. Highly recommend the Fairway Hotel for anyone visiting Dundalk — great hospitality all around.

04/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars – A Hidden Gem on the Cooley Peninsula! Ferguson’s Bar & Bistro in Gyles Quay is an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re calling in for a meal, drinks, or an evening of entertainment, it never disappoints. The food is consistently outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and made with quality ingredients. Every meal we’ve had has been exceptional. A special mention has to go to Edelle, who is simply the best waitress. She is always so warm, friendly, attentive, and nothing is ever too much trouble. She goes above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable and is a real credit to the team. If you’re a cocktail lover, you have to try the frozen coconut martinis. Ruari makes the best we’ve ever tasted—perfectly balanced, refreshing, and dangerously moreish! The atmosphere is fantastic too. Friday night bingo is great fun with plenty of laughs, and the live music creates such a brilliant buzz, making it the perfect place to spend an evening with family or friends. Ferguson’s has it all: fantastic food, amazing cocktails, first-class service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended! 🍸🍽️🎶

06/09/2026: My first time here today for Sunday lunch. Myself and my partner thought the food was fantastic. We ordered the lamb and beef. The staff were friendly and efficient. I couldn’t fault it. A nice cosy atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

15/08/2026: Had the most beautiful dinner last night in Callans, the food was amazing, best meal we have had in a long time and the staff were fantastic.. very attentive but not overwhelming or rushing you .. would definitely recommend and will be back soon, thank you all 🤗
