Knowning their coffee is locally roasted in Ashbourne makes it that much more special ✨

felt like I walked in and spoiled a party, which is a pity as the coffee was good though

01/04/2024: Very modern feeling decor with a comfortable dining experience.
The menu is concise and has something for every palate. The food is excellent and is served with little fuss and in good time.
The staff are friendly and attentive.
The cost is on the higher side but great value for the food and service provided.
I would fully recommend to anybody.

08/03/2024: I'm done with life after that meal Jesus the food was fresh roasting hot on point . Staff are brilliant . I had the papa roma a monster of a burger that left me sweating . Lids had pork chops and tenders the tenders where perfection crispy on outside juicy and flavourful on the inside. Curry sauce piping hot. Only bad points it's it's quite cramped and toilets are tiny and they don't take card payments or touch payments of Any kind cash Only which is their choice but in this day and age I don't agree with it but that's my own taste . Milkshakes and ice-cream here are amazing

07/02/2024: Never knew this place was here service and food was excellent. We were there for lunch and it wasn't too busy . Excellent choice of food and they didn't have what I wanted but they went out on s limb to accommodate me 🙌

31/03/2024: Food was OK, quite expensive for not massive portions tbh. We had to ask multiple times for vinegar and the sweet menu-younger members of staff don't follow through and seem easily distracted. We were sat quite close to the bar in the restaurant and the whole time we were there all we could hear was the cutlery being dried and thrown back into the cutlery tray at the bar, surely this could be done somewhere else, out of earshot of people trying to enjoy their meal? Not a great experience tbh and won't be rushing back. Unfortunate, as we were there a few years ago and the food and service was fab.

30/03/2024: Had burger with chips. Chips tasted as if they were refried and chicken did not taste fresh at all. It wasnt bad taste just... Old. Probably the most fresh thing there were the flowers on the table.. For what i payed wasnt worth it

30/03/2024: This was our second stay at McKevitt's, and just as it was last year, it was a pleasure. We enjoyed a friendly welcome, and the staff were attentive to our needs. What a relaxing, friendly place! The breakfasts are superb, and the dinner and afternoon teas were also delicious. Manager Terry was helpful with suggestions for our daily plans, and we appreciated his good humor when we realized we had mistakenly called him by the wrong name for three days! All in all, a comfortable and convenient place to stay in this charming village. I think we'll be back.
