27/08/2026: Arrived here without a booking at 8.00pm. We got seated immediately and had a very nice meal. Both Short Ribs and Red Curry are highly recommended. Maybe next time we will try the meal deal for 2 9oz steak dinner with bottle of wine for €75. We were told by the manager that a lot of customers bring the bottle away with them so they don't drink and drive.
10/08/2026: Great food options and the meals we had were flavourful, fresh and generous portions. The restaurant's decor and different seating areas are nicely decorated and can see it being used for different events. Staff were attentive, and efficient. Great experience overall.

14/08/2026: Great little breakfast place, with good food and friendly staff, will be having the full Irish next time. Another August another great breakfast and a lovely pot of tea. Only down side people having mobile ohone conversations on speaker, have some respect for other dinners.
12/08/2026: This place is a must visit if you are in Carlingford.
Fabulous food and staff.
It really is like being in your nanny's sitting room.
Cash only so just be aware. 100% be back again

24/08/2026: Had dinner wasn't good had very bad experience with the staff and not very nice staff was not very helpful when I came to complain my food wasn't what I ordered the drink smells like vinegar the chef wasn't very helpful to me when I pointed out that my food didn't come out the way it said on the menu won't be going back
20/08/2026: I was there last weekend for lunch beautiful food and staff very pleasant but very over priced food for a pub food not a hotel 15-8-26 just dinner for 2 people near 50 euro so needs to bring down price to 17 or18 is plenty way to expensive for two in a pub

25/06/2026: Beautiful pub. Unfortunately do not serve food, however, they permit you to eat takeaway and Mangan's renowned and highly recommended chipper is closeby! They also permitted our pet dogs, on leash, in outdoor area. Wonderful pub, great atmosphere and highly recommend 👍

Lovely atmosphere. Met The Mary Wallopers and they were so humble and nice......seriously Great vibe !
04/06/2026: Good food, the vibe is cool in here quite cosy, we decided on small bites type food. All the food we had got was good especially the sourdough, the wine was also a vibe. We went on a Thursday and the restaurant was still busy atmosphere was still lively. I would reccomend if visiting Dundalk and enjoy tapas style food.

21/07/2026: It’s no wonder that we travel 80 miles for Scampi as it’s superb and has been for the last 30 years. Thank you for perfection . Now you know why I tell the staff I didn’t travel 80 miles for a half portion. Thankyou again. O Neill family.
17/07/2026: Had breakfast and evening meal here today. Very busy place just off M1 near Drogheda. Food was very nice portions not huge but adequate. There is a wait here particularly in the evening as it is really popular. But very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and it is worth the wait. Would definitely go here again.

09/06/2026: What a fantastic wedding band. I can't recommend Clive and the lads enough.they kept the dance floor full at all time. I got so many compliments from our guests about the band. So if you are getting married and looking for wedding band get these lads booked. Best wedding band ever.
06/06/2026: We had Vertigo band & Dj play at our wedding in Cavan Crystal last year and they were absolutely amazing. Clive and the band were so lovely and easy to deal with and you can tell they really love what they do. The music was so lively and they kept the dancefloor full all night. So many of our guests commented on how amazing they were and what a great time they had. We highly recommend Vertigo band & Dj to anyone considering them for their wedding day!
