17/12/2025: What a lovely genuine tea rooms with the most delicious home made (how rare this is today) cakes, biscuits and muffins. Full of atmosphere and great friendly service. You couldn't get better!!

26/10/2025: Couldn't even go in due to their only accepting cash ('Cash Only sign outside). Very disappointing.

25/06/2026: Beautiful pub. Unfortunately do not serve food, however, they permit you to eat takeaway and Mangan's renowned and highly recommended chipper is closeby! They also permitted our pet dogs, on leash, in outdoor area. Wonderful pub, great atmosphere and highly recommend 👍

04/06/2026: Good food, the vibe is cool in here quite cosy, we decided on small bites type food. All the food we had got was good especially the sourdough, the wine was also a vibe. We went on a Thursday and the restaurant was still busy atmosphere was still lively. I would reccomend if visiting Dundalk and enjoy tapas style food.

17/07/2026: We visited today for lunch, and we were shocked by the price compared to the portion size. I got the turkey and ham. One small slice of turkey, one half a slice of ham, and not even a teaspoon of stuffing in the middle. Came out with four pieces of roasted veg, two scoops of mash, and just a tiny little bit of gravy. I had to request extra gravy, had to request extra potatoes. The chicken Kiev my partner got was the size of a child's hand. It was absolutely tiny. Barely any garlic in it. She got the garlic sauteed spuds with it. They were basically the crispy bits from the bottom of a bag of chips. Food was also mildly warm at best. Wasn't even warm, was closer to cold than it was to warm. Kids burger, fine, very pricey. Kids spaghetti bolognese, €14.50 for, again, tiny, terrible portion. We normally go to the Valley Inn. We said we'll give the Monasterboice Inn for a change. We will definitely not be going back, unfortunately. Staff were very friendly though

17/07/2026: Had breakfast and evening meal here today. Very busy place just off M1 near Drogheda. Food was very nice portions not huge but adequate. There is a wait here particularly in the evening as it is really popular. But very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and it is worth the wait. Would definitely go here again.

21/07/2026: It’s no wonder that we travel 80 miles for Scampi as it’s superb and has been for the last 30 years. Thank you for perfection . Now you know why I tell the staff I didn’t travel 80 miles for a half portion. Thankyou again. O Neill family.

09/06/2026: What a fantastic wedding band. I can't recommend Clive and the lads enough.they kept the dance floor full at all time. I got so many compliments from our guests about the band. So if you are getting married and looking for wedding band get these lads booked. Best wedding band ever.

06/06/2026: We had Vertigo band & Dj play at our wedding in Cavan Crystal last year and they were absolutely amazing. Clive and the band were so lovely and easy to deal with and you can tell they really love what they do. The music was so lively and they kept the dancefloor full all night. So many of our guests commented on how amazing they were and what a great time they had. We highly recommend Vertigo band & Dj to anyone considering them for their wedding day! Thank you so much. 22/06/2026: We came here a few times for a pint. Came back because the food we saw coming from the kitchen looks stellar. I had the burger and it was quite nice. My wife had the chowder and she said it was great. And a larger portion. The service was very good too. We were checked in a few times and the drinks were waiting for us at our table when we arrived. Great place.

13/05/2026: Absolutely stunning place, lovely staff and owners, friendly, helpful, attentive. Perfect breakfast, really nice rooms. Cosy reading room with a fireplace, nice decorations. I've stayed there twice and will come back again.
