11/09/2025: Had our monthly OAP's retired colleagues coffee morning here. Very nice surroundings and staff. Prices good too.

22/08/2025: What a fantastic visit we had over a couple of days when we came for a wedding. Great staff, service and atmosphere. We will definitely be back when next in the area! Thanks again Andrea and Carlo

25/10/2025: I was recently there for a family function. We had a private room with access to the gardens. The room was well laid out and the staff were brilliant. The food was top class and the staff could not do enough for us. I was definitely impressed and will be back in the future. Continued success to everyone in The River Bank

20/10/2025: Excellent venue, the decor of the restaurant is fabulous,the place is a credit to the owners and staff. Extremely busy place and easy to see why. Food is great!

29/09/2025: Punches above it’s weight. Staff are friendly, coffee is good, and hot food is great. Pancakes are a hit 👌🏼👌🏼

12/07/2025: If you like your beverage and cake together you’d better tell them. We arrived and ordered coffee and cake. Codes delivered obediently and were lovely. But cake was delayed. When I asked I was told that there were two orders ahead of me and I’d have to wait. If I’d known that I wouldn’t have ordered cake. But the cake was there, and it needed the chef to take a knife and cut a slice out of it. That’s all. I offered to do it myself and suggested the waitress do it. But no, I was told the chef was very fussy (that’s fine, it means the food’s lovely) and I’d have to wait. I explained my coffee was cold and nearly gone and she said it would be along soon. All very well the chef being fussy (maybe OCD🤷🏻‍♂️) but I’m fussy too, liking my cake and hot beverage together. Not too much to ask. I’d love to do a 1-2 star review but the food is too good for that and it would be misleading.

20/08/2025: Went here for dinner with my wife in August. Best meal we've had in a while. Very relaxing pre dinner drink in the bar area while perus the menu. Then had a very nice meal. Starters of ham hoc terrine and crab creme brulee were fab. Then I had the lamb which was the tastiest and most tender I've ever had. My wife had the fish dish which was a very decent size and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Very good wine list but unfortunately could only try one as I was driving. We will most certainly return.

13/10/2025: Very ignorant and rude they'd just kept me standing at the bar and me try to get a drink two too busy squeezing back to back with each other they were more interested in going back to back with each other than serving me

10/10/2025: We live in Ardee and live to eat out but found the absolute gem of Watter’s only last Sunday when we had a lunch with our children. Had duck, green curry, shredded chicken and soup and all our plates were completely empty when finished. It was all so flavoursome and good! Nice and clean food at very keep price Came in today for lunch just the two of us and chicken burger and plaice very good and tasty again Small coffee shop at the front also serves decent coffee and home made tasting lemon slice is just the perfect treat Ladies looking after us are very pleasant and efficient. Keep up the good work Thank you very much we will be definitely back

05/10/2025: We visited for Sunday brunch. Really wide menu, catering for all, with lots of local produce too. Our young kids really enjoyed the colouring activities provided, which we didn't expect! Food was superb, clean plates across the board. Good value for money, portion sizes were great and staff extremely friendly. Will make a point of revisiting!!

26/09/2025: Enjoyed the food here, but wouldn’t say it’s the best. The Irish breakfast wasn’t very big, but their pancakes are delicious. Service was friendly, but doesn’t go the extra mile for special occasions, so improvement is pretty much needed there. I would recommend elsewhere if you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate, and if you’re looking for a bigger breakfast. I’ve given two stars for the atmosphere because the place was empty when we came for the first time, so again for a special occasion, the service could’ve gone the extra mile, at least that’s what I’ve experienced in other restaurants, even at the busiest of times.

21/10/2025: Went here for lunch sun afternoon.food was amazing.ambiance was superb.candle /flowers/tablecloths.you can bring your own bottle of wine which is a bonus.young waiter was superb at his job.he will go along way !

06/09/2025: Good location, room was good and the restaurant had a good menu… The lady on reception I think her name was Catherina was lovely, always good to walk into a new place and the staff be so nice and welcoming

10/08/2025: A good lively irish pub ,you can watch sport here ,football or the horse racing ,always a good pint of guinness too ,probably the best in drogheda if you like a pint

01/11/2025: Very nice breakfast in Garvey’s & lovely friendly staff. So convenient for parking and only a 5 minute walk from the town centre

28/09/2025: Went for Sunday Dinner, asked for a table waitress just went off never confirmed if she was getting a table ready. We ordered half Dinner it was small portion but to our surprise it cost €16 considering full Dinner was €17:95 this felt very over priced. Food was just okay service was a bit slow, not really value for money.

20/10/2025: Chicken fillet burger SO TOUGH! Myself and my husband got the same so it wasn't even a once off as his chicken was so tough and chewy too. 80eur for two adults and two kids meals and for them to be close to inedible is unbelievable. Empty to your pockets but now its not even worth the high cost.

12/08/2025: I had a gift voucher, we had travelled 60 miles,they don’t accept Eddie rocket gift vouchers. Unbelievable 😢
