The best restaurants in Louth

31/01/2026: My mum and I happened upon this lovely restaurant by chance and were so delighted with the experience - the food was exquisite and the staff were lovely! Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone

29/03/2026: Great coffee place. The coffee is excellent and made with local coffee. The baked goods are fab and always sell out. Cafe is small so not much seating. One of my favourite coffee spots.

15/04/2026: Absolutely unreal band! 100% recommend. With 2 months before the wedding, our original band realised they double booked us and we searched for a new band. Vertigo were thankfully available as they had a last min cancellation and they booked us in, with great communication throughout. They were absolutely amazing, the dance floor was always full, they had such great energy all night and really got the crowd going. Honestly could not have asked for better! Everyone has complimented since saying how amazing they were. They were also so friendly. We are so grateful. The original band cancelling was a blessing in disguise as it would have been very hard to beat Vertigo. Thank you so so much for a fantastic night. If you’re looking for a wedding band, book Vertigo!

27/03/2026: Vertigo were absolutely incredible at our wedding. They had the dance floor full all night and created such a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. The energy they brought was unreal and they really knew how to keep the crowd going. So many of our guests commented on how great they were. If you're looking for a band that guarantees great craic and a packed dance floor, we couldn't recommend Vertigo more!

17/04/2026: This is the place do be when in Carlingford, Great food, Great service, Great atmosphere, Great rooms, Just Great pay the price it's worth everything and then some.

26/03/2026: Walked in for a lunch/early dinner and a pint. Warm and cosy atmosphere, food and drinks are at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and accommodating to your needs and preferences (specially noticed for the regular customers) definitely a recommended place for a meet up or just a quick bite and drink.

19/03/2026: Extremely dissatisfied. I got the chicken club sandwich, chips on the side and pepper sauce. The sauce was too salty, the chips were nice, but the chicken club sandwich was bad. The focaccia bread was tough, to the point, i couldn’t cut it with the butter knife they supplied. I ended up eating it like a hamburger with my hands. I could have lived with that, but the sandwich was small, and i mean literally, a bun, with some chicken, bacon, a dribble of sauce and cheese. It was nothing like the club sandwich i used to go in and get years ago. A HUGE Disappointment. No flavour and tough. My wife got the caeser salad… bland she said. Her dad got the super salad, he liked it, but it had (4 ) pieces of chicken on it. And his partner got the lasagne…she came here specifically to get what she got 2 years ago, she came over from Scotland to visit. Again, disappointed, it was nothing like she had 2 years ago she commented. She left s leave portion behind. I don’t know what happened to McGeoughs since I last visited a number of years ago, but that Club Sandwich I used to get was amazing …it has been changed and reduced to a tough bap with bland inners. Ill stick with the Rumhouse McGeoughs, my rating..Super boring food, some items, not fresh like the bread, and miserable portions of meat. FAIL.

30/01/2026: Saw a youtuber reviewing here a few weeks ago and thought was very very harsh tbh. Food, service, atmosphere and pricing I thought were all good. We were dining in restaurant, delivery from anywhere is always not going to be as good as dining in again imo. I'd recommend and go again.
