You can't put a price on an experienced staff.food always consistent in taste quality and portion size. I really like taking my family here

13/05/2026: Absolutely stunning place, lovely staff and owners, friendly, helpful, attentive. Perfect breakfast, really nice rooms. Cosy reading room with a fireplace, nice decorations. I've stayed there twice and will come back again.

28/06/2026: We stumbled upon this place completely by chance. It's AMAZING! Even in France, it had been a long time since we'd had such a pleasant surprise! The eggplant and shrimp curry were absolutely delicious. The impeccable service and the cleanliness of the restrooms (clean restrooms = clean kitchen, that's what I've always been taught!) further enhance the quality of this place. Don't hesitate for a second.

05/08/2026: I would like to make a formal complaint regarding the behaviour of a server during my recent visit. I found their attitude to be extremely pushy, rude and unprofessional throughout the experience. I felt uncomfortable with the way they spoke to and interacted with me, and their behaviour came across as inappropriate and disrespectful. I also found some of their comments and manner to be quite dirty and inappropriate, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic respect and professionalism, and unfortunately, I did not feel that was the case during my visit. I would appreciate if this matter could be taken seriously and looked into, as no customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or disrespected while visiting your establishment. I manage to get the servers name i believe it was jack mc entaggart

02/08/2026: Newly refurbished. Great food, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The meals were well presented and tasty, and the overall experience was excellent. A little expensive for tapas but they are tasty.

01/09/2026: Really kind of 3 pubs in one. The front bar is the classic old school pub look with plenty of old man locals; it wraps around to a second rustic bar room. Pass through to the lounge which also has a stand-up bar and handles weekend crowds. The lounge has bands that set-up in the corner, they do a Monday night with usually local bands playing rock classics which is fun and has no cover. The Patio which has a had a retractable roof is a great spot on a sunny day, don't expect much a crowd early in the week. Weekends they usually have a DJs playing to the patio crowd which leans very young as the night goes on. Sometimes they have special DJ events that might have a small cover. The patio also has a rolldown screen for bog matches. Also have a part of the patio they use for birthday parties etc. Great pints and bonus points for having Lagunitas IPA on draft for when you are weary of the Guinness. Staff is great. They don't serve food, but Biddo's has a food truck on the patio Thursday-Sunday evenings featuring birria style tacos/nachos etc. definitely worth trying. Note it can get crowded so plan accordingly. Without a doubt one of the best places in town.
