09/06/2026: We travel down from Dromore county Down just to get battered sausages and battered burgers and chips , the food is fantastic and always really made to feel welcome, 10/10

12/04/2026: Popped in for dinner on Saturday evening, menu comprehensive and lovely atmosphere. Food delicious, had steak sandwich and lasagne, very reasonable, highly recommend

10/05/2026: The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic — every dish bursts with fresh flavor, beautifully presented and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, the service doesn’t match the kitchen’s quality. Staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, with long waits for orders and little follow-up once food was served. It’s a real shame, because the cuisine deserves a much better front-of-house experience.

09/05/2026: Really disappointed. Booked a table for a girls brunch, no time limit stated on the phone at time of booking. As soon as we sat down we noticed it wasn’t overly busy, but our waitress told us the table was needed back within 1.5hrs. Keep in mind this was a brunch to say goodbye to a dear colleague with 4 people. The service we received was terrible, staff incredibly rude, clearly no proper training in etiquette, plates being cleared before others had finished eating, coffees served in plastic cups(while dining indoors!) The whole thing was uncomfortable then a waitress leaned over us and stated “my next booking will be coming, I need the table”, no manners, apology or offer to be seated outside while we were on our second round of drinks/ coffees- actively spending money. We left as requested and finished our coffees standing outside-awkward I know! Terrible customer service, will never return.

08/04/2026: It was one of those proper stormy November nights in Drogheda. Wind howling, rain coming at you sideways — the kind that soaks you no matter how you try to dodge it. My commuter train from Dublin was late (of course), and I was standing there at the station getting absolutely drenched, dreaming of somewhere warm, dry… and a decent pint of Guinness. The Railway Tavern was on my way, and at around 23:20 — dangerously close to last orders — it felt less like a choice and more like survival instinct. I walked in, leaving a respectable wet trail behind me on what looked like a freshly mopped floor (sorry about that). Jenny was behind the bar. I asked for a pint of Guinness. She took one look at me — water still dripping off — and said, “A quick pint.” Fair enough. I said no problem, finished it in about two heroic sips, and went straight back up for another — slightly less life-or-death this time. Since that night, I’ve been a regular. It’s a lovely pub: great service, great atmosphere, live music, and most importantly — great people. And on a night like that, it felt less like a pub and more like a rescue operation.

08/04/2026: Lovely cosy little pub. Dog friendly with open fire in the winter. Good pint of Guinness too.
