25/06/2024: Ordered food online (from 4500 km away in North America) for a friend in Ravensdale. Online ordering was simple. Customers enjoyed the food. Delivery to rural home was prompt.

27/10/2024: Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience! What once was a lovely restaurant is definitely not anymore. Our table was the first problem as it was located in a dark alcove beside the toilets, disgraceful! The wait staff were very good and gave us a different table when we asked. Unfortunately it was beside a fire exit door which seemed extremely unsafe as the tables appeared to prevent a clear exit from the building in the event of a fire. We were also too close to the tables either side of us and the chairs were extremely rickety and unsafe. The starters were barely finished, approximately 3 minutes, when the main courses were put in front of us! Extremely disappointing! We didn't even have the time to digest our starters before our main courses were put out! As for said main courses....where do I start! The lasagna was swimming in liquid with virtually no meat and the "spicy chicken" dish was honestly the WORST dish I have ever, ever tasted! Four vegetables and chicken from a packet! Disgusting! Not only that but the sauce tasted like fresh cream heated and thrown on top of the dish - awful! The only thing we could pick at were the chips. While the staff were nice they couldn't make up for the disgusting quality of the food and the establishment itself. What once was an amazing Italian in Dunleer is now an extremely disappointing, inedible dining experience. Avoid at all costs!!!!

02/11/2024: Il Forno is a gorgeous Italian restaurant in the heart of Drogheda on West St. We drove up to Drogheda to see the Festival of Lú light installations (these are amazing and well worth heading to Drogheda to see during late October - early November weekends) Finished up with the lights at 21:15 and we chose Il Forno to grab a bite to eat. Even though it was late we got service with a 😊 from the wonderful staff. The pizzas are wood-fired and delicious, the wine gorgeous, the atmosphere warm and inviting on a cold dry winter night. ❤️❤️❤️

30/10/2024: Went with a voucher yesterday and I was left two hours waiting for my meal(a chicken kebab and massaf chicken)the restaurant was completely empty. Two couples who got there after and were served starters and mains before me. A family got in for a take away and came back half an hour later and the food was ready. One hour and a half later they sent me a hummus thing which shows they knew I was waiting for nearly two hours. When it hit two hours I checked my bus times and needed to leave or I'd have to wait another hour so I asked the food for takeaway away and they handed me the food in FIVE MINUTES. No apologies, nothing. Food wasn't good when I got home. They only did this because I had a voucher and didn't ask for anything extra. Absolutely disgusting behaviour leaving someone waiting two hours for a chicken kebab. Really looking forward to hearing their excuse. This up there was my review on TripAdvisor, the owner/chef called me after 9pm to confront me on my very truthful review to say it was a misunderstanding and never even said sorry. I told him to answer on TripAdvisor and all he said was lies. The waitress 100% knew I was there by myself. I'm even more sure it was because of the voucher. This man seems unhinged.. DO NOT CALL PEOPLE TO NOT EVEN SAY SORRY ABOUT LEAVING THEM WAITING FOR TWO HOURS WITH RIDICULOUS EXCUSES. GET A LIFE AND START TREATING PEOPLE BETTER. It doesn't matter I was there before the time, the waitress took me in and said I could ask for the food already as previously mentioned, the restaurant was completely empty.

21/10/2024: My most recent stay was much better than the previous stay. Rooms were very nice and spacious, and I could be mistaken, but they seemed to be upgraded. Food was very nice also.

20/10/2024: Staying here tonight with my partner we have been kept awake all night with kids running about screaming and banging worse hotel we have ever stayed in even at dinner kids running in and out no peaceful restaurant to relax and enjoy a drink more than 40 kids it's 2am and the kids are still running about and screaming hotel doesn't care about its other guests staying if we could have drove home we would have worst experience I would definitely not recommend or stay here again

27/09/2024: For a change we decided to re-visit the cross. The menu is compact and delightful. The place is Cosy and the confessionals are a great touch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ordered 1 x Misfit beef burger 1, Misfit Cajun chicken burger, 1 x sugar daddy Cajun chicken burger, they came with skin fries, we also or ordered a side of breaded chicken with a hot sauce. All of the food was super, the portions were excellent. If you are looking for a great burger, great chips and excellent chicken do not pass this place. Highly recommended. Yes we will be back.

17/10/2024: Drogheda institution this place. Complaints,,one is ordour downstairs,,I know toilets located in basement but serious problem below. Use to prefer seated downstairs but past few times had to relocate to upper level as ordour was horrendous. Secondly teenage girls on cook stations with not hairnet between them.

12/10/2024: Have to say I Iove the quiche and salad here. Delicious 😋 Every time I come over to visit my parents i always go to Moorland with my mother .. Warm and welcoming staff. Lovely friendly welcoming manager. Wendy is just lovely to chat to. Do all sorts of food. Warm and cold ,.plenty of choice. Cakes too , to die for... Last week bought a friend birthday cake with "Happy Birthday" iced on and fair price and lovely succulent cake and made birthday boy very happy. I'd recommend The Moorland for everyone , and ample space with downstairs too. Can't go wrong ! 😉

29/10/2024: A real gem of place and can highly recommend. We had a large group (11) and we were so well looked after from the moment we arrived. Food was top notch with plenty of variety for the group, with no complaints. Will definitely be back next time in Dundalk.

07/11/2024: Visited the Grand Central Hotel after viewing the Warrenpoint halloween firework display across the lough. We had delicious food, very affordable and good value €17 menu put on specifically for the Halloween evening. Excellent quality and value, we will definitely be back. Finally what a view in the dark evening, looking across the Carlingford Lough at Warrenpoint and Rostrevor lights.

06/11/2024: Called in for lunch. Very busy but we were served quickly by a lovely lady. Veg soup was amazing and brown bread yummy 😋
