The best restaurants in Louth

08/12/2025: Called in here on Saturday night, nice atmosphere, good crowd but not overcrowded, enjoyed the band and great pints. We'll be back again.

26/07/2025: The Phoenix Park cafe is in a great location. The owners have the luxury of getting a captive audience due to the volume of people visiting the park and the lack of places to eat. I feel that the food has gone downhill. I’ve been consistently disappointed with the last few visits. My last visit was at the end of June. We all ordered lasagne and the food was dry and tasteless. There was a lack of choice of salads on the day that we visited. This restaurant used to be great. It’s a shame.

04/07/2026: Absolutely terrible food chicken burger barely cooked got a so called steak brisket sandwich ao dry and not even a nice sauce with it not a sinner in the place when we arrived very poor not be back unfortunately

19/07/2026: Visited here whilst travelling round Ireland from the UK, the place is lovely! It’s a little Irish pub at the side of a caravan park, the night I went it had great atmosphere with live music (amazing singers), staff were rushed off their feet bless time ,as it was so busy the food was a let down, they warned us it will he a hour for Food, we thought no bother let’s drink… took 40 mins the drinks we ordered, my mouth was lot a dry flip flop…. We ordered new drinks at the bar only for the other drinks to arrive, happy days we thought….let’s drink 🍻 . hour and a half later…. Half the starters came, missing sides, sauces, cutlery and part of my order…, told the staff what was missing 4 times…..order a garlic bread, partners had chicken wings? was nice but both cold, waited another half hr for a curry, again was stone cold, as were my partners, kept asking to speak to someone but they were so busy, we gave up, at the end the start I was missing arrived, with no dip we’d been waiting forit was simply many people too for the amount staff, we gave up by this point, we asked for the bill but I had go to the till in the end even getting that was a challenge, I’d go back…. But not on a weekend, we arrived at -about 8pm so was late to be fair, I’d love to try their food when it’s all hot and accounted tor! avoid the weekend if you want to have a decent meal! Parking only difficult on weekends when it’s busy what I saw coming out the kitchen looked amazing tho!

18/07/2026: Have visited twice in the last week first a Sunday. We thought our food was beautiful. Good creamy mash with chicken strips topped with Tabasco onions pepper sauce with a side of mixed veg. 10/10 for food on this occasion. Service is friendly and attentive although slightly understaffed. I did feel for the two ladies serving us as they had a lot of running about and were under pressure. Second visit not so good chicken wings are not it !! feels like they’ve been plucked from a cooked chicken and refried to heat and tossed in barbecue sauce. Enjoyed first two mushrooms and then found them overpowered with grease from batter used to coat mushrooms. Restaurant started filling up with guest’s and the heat was unbearable we had to leave. Mixed feelings on rather we would return seems to be a hit or miss. Appreciate the two ladies serving us Thank you.

26/06/2026: The service was really good and the staff were attentive it's just unfortunate that the food was not very good at all. The starter was greasy and had we think sweet and sour but it was awful. We then had sweet and sour chicken which was possibly the worst sauce and lacked flavour. We ordered a second sauce of Peking incase it was just an anomaly but unfortunately this was as bad as the first.

27/07/2025: Very welcoming, friendly service, very clean, very good. I recommend it 100%. Very generous portions, very fast, lots of choices. Yes, there are a lot of "very"s.

10/03/2026: Myself and my partner have travelled 40 minutes on multiple occasions to bia after calling to confirm opening hours but when walking in the door 3 young girls tell us they have closed early From a regular customer to bia management, this is extremely unprofessional as this is not the first time this has happened and 3 young girls that was representing your business were extremely rude - I will not be back when these staff members are working The older woman working for yous is a credit to your business, always polite friendly and helpful

17/12/2025: This is a favourite of mine, excellent full Irish and great pancakes and stuff, wonderful seating area with natural lighting and a view of the town through the windows

14/04/2026: Well run efficient friendly service, very busy takeaway, lots of options , huge menu, oriental noodles and other oriental dishes, spice bag very good. ( only reason for less stars is kids chicken strippers a little too much batter and not enough chicken, safer to order noodles or proper oriental dishes, spice bag lovely flavour, quite spicy

06/04/2026: Just had my first order here and OMG!! Nicest in town so far , the egg fried rice so clean white and full of flavor, salt and chilli noodle box amazing full of favor , everything was just cooked to perfection and full.of flavor my new takeaway⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

30/05/2026: Travelled down today for the third time with my family from Banbridge for lunch... An absolute delight from start to finish. Pleasant staff and amazing food... A hidden gem. Brilliant 😍

24/05/2026: Restaurant review only. Very disappointing experience. It took at least 10 minutes before a waitress came to take our order. After ordering, we waited for another 30/40 minutes for our food before finally asking staff about the delay, but no one could give us an answer. I eventually went to the bar to cancel the order, only to find out that no order had ever been placed with the kitchen. What made it worse was the attitude from the barman, who was quite unpleasant and offered no apology at all. Overall, a very poor experience and not somewhere we’d rush back to.

10/04/2026: I absolutely love this place and it’s my go to every time I come to Dundalk. Classic take away in all the right ways. Staff are great and it’s a staple!
