16/12/2024: What a stunning property with amazing bedrooms and literally walk across the road to sea front walk and amazing views of Northern Ireland

13/12/2024: Just returned from GH after a 2-night birthday celebration & it was just perfect from start to finish. The house itself, the staff, service, rooms..everything was just wonderful. But the food needs a special mention, every morsel was delicious. We were lucky to be there for the Christmas Candlelight dinner (tasting menu) with carols & songs from the musicals by soprano Sarah McCourt. Thank you Paul & team for a memorable stay. 09/01/2025: Personally I am not a fishy person but my wife is. She declared her oysters as delicious while my special house burger was well above average, we both had the soup to start and it was soup like my mother used to make.. The staff were under pressure but still managed to stay friendly and helpful.

05/01/2025: Great spot , highly recommend the fish taco's ,fresh fluffy gougons and prawns covered in salsa and taco sauce ... declious , the oysters were great too. Was able to eat and then enjoy a good few pints without being bothered about freeing the table up.

04/01/2025: Ate their last night. Delicious food. 2 starters 3 mains. Evey plate was cleared. Will definately be back. Money well spent.

28/09/2024: The food is exquisite, fresh and beautifully presented. Lovely restaurant in quaint historic setting always bustling with diners. Had a pre drink at their bar beforehand. Would recommend.

01/12/2024: We walked by a number of times and finally looked at the menu and decided to go for dinner, wish we did it earlier. We had someone get the steak they loved it three people got the halibut and they loved it and I got the Dover Sole and it was unreal. Don’t walk by stop on in and have the meal!

30/11/2024: Really nice food. We had a party of 6 and all had a starter, a main and a few bottles of normally priced wine and it was 450 euro. Very over priced. Not even a shot given to send us on our way. After giving a 60 euro tip they barely thanked us as we left. I don't think I'd go back for that reason.

31/12/2024: Met friends for pre Christmas lunch.lovely restaurant and mebu menu and delicious food. Service excellent and so friendly. Good Valu for money.

05/01/2025: Nice lounge bar , great beer and atmopshere , older crowd , and friendly staff. Really nice touch is the complimentary battered seafood cougons & chips that they put on the bar late on

08/01/2025: I thought that I had rated this dog friendly pub/restaurant already. Its definitely a 10 out of 10 based on the warm welcome our Zoe got plus of course the great food at very reasonable pricing. Nice cosy bar/restaurant which looked as if it had been tastefully refurbished recently. Service was great including the water bowl that they brought for Zoe. I think that there may be several bars and eating areas within however we didnt check them out. This is a short walk out and up from the centre of town and is nearby to the Abbey ruins. Dont judge it by its plain frontage but rather by the warm and friendly greeting you will get inside. If we are back in the area we will definitely call in for a pint and a meal, Zoe included.

18/11/2024: Lovely food, staff very accommodating to a group of cyclists. Service just a bit slow, probably because they weren't expecting a big group. Chowder & bread very tasty.

28/11/2024: When we asked the locals where we should get a cup of coffee, we were directed here to Wildwood! It seems to have moved out of their original space and is now completely outdoors. There is a great vibe here and the chef clearly really cares about the food. We got the cheese toasty (a must try) and breakfast burrito. The coffee was great! Only wish the plates and cutlery weren’t single-use but we understand there are probably constraints. Thank you!

14/10/2024: Stayed for the weekend and this place is absolutely beautiful, Paul is a gentleman and would recommend here to everyone, will definitely be back
