The best restaurants in Carlingford

10/07/2025: Found this place by chance,while walking around the village. Great food and staff and the restaurant is so adorable. Higly recommend this restaurant. Compliments to lovely staff, Niamh and Marie were so friendly and nice.

27/06/2025: Stayed here on Saturday 21st June 2025. Carlingford itself was busy and the weather was lovely. Rooms were fine and very clean bathroom and shower were perfect. The bed was lovely and comfy. Had a few drinks in the bar on that night and was very enjoyable. They had music in the bar which was easy listening and the bar staff were very good too. The only thing I was disappointed at was the breakfast. The menu had a good selection of cooked breakfast but there was no cereal or juice to be seen anywhere. I had the full irish which was lovely but if you only wanted cereal it didn't seem to be available. One other thing to note was that there is no lift. All the rooms as far as I could see are on the 1st floor, wasn't a problem for us but for anyone incapacitated or wheelchair users this would be difficult. Overall this is a lovely place to stay, right in the centre of Carlingford. A good base if you wanted to explore the north east of the country. This place is good value for money as the price of hotels in Ireland has got very expensive in the last couple of years. I would have no problem staying here again.

04/06/2025: Absolutely tasty food. Great service and warm atmosphere and cozy interior. There is beautiful masterpieces on the wall, by Irish artists, you could by if desires. We e spend lovely time in this restaurant and had unforgivable dinner. Thanks❤️

12/06/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at this charming and friendly family-run fish restaurant, the food is just outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone who craves the freshest seafood, or a perfectly cooked steak. A true local treasure.

The food was beautiful especially the fish 👌 The staff were brilliant and very welcoming even if we were quite load at times. The Carlingford arms had a really vibrant atmosphere and all of us that attended would highly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
