14/04/2026: Well run efficient friendly service, very busy takeaway, lots of options , huge menu, oriental noodles and other oriental dishes, spice bag very good. ( only reason for less stars is kids chicken strippers a little too much batter and not enough chicken, safer to order noodles or proper oriental dishes, spice bag lovely flavour, quite spicy

06/04/2026: Just had my first order here and OMG!! Nicest in town so far , the egg fried rice so clean white and full of flavor, salt and chilli noodle box amazing full of favor , everything was just cooked to perfection and full.of flavor my new takeaway⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

20/09/2026: A lovely old tavern/ restaurant , set in the heart of lovely Blackrock, Co. Louth. Right on the promenade, with the Irish Sea right in front. Pleasant service. Good food, wig upstairs and downstairs seating. Highly recommended.

Nothing was too much trouble, and her dedication gave us complete confidence that everything would run smoothly. The venue looked beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Our guests had a wonderful time and have spoken so highly of the day. We are incredibly grateful to Alina and the entire team at The Fairways for helping create memories that we will cherish forever. We would highly recommend The Fairways to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

21/06/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the Fairway Hotel. The staff were warm and attentive from check-in to check-out, always quick with a smile and genuinely happy to help. The accommodations were comfortable and well-kept, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Saturday night entertainment was a real highlight — lively, energetic, and exactly the kind of fun atmosphere you hope for on a trip like this. And the breakfast spread the next morning left nothing to be desired, with a great variety and quality that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. Highly recommend the Fairway Hotel for anyone visiting Dundalk — great hospitality all around.

04/10/2026: It has been a while since we went here. Our last experience wasn’t good. Prices where up portions where down and service wasn’t great. But we gave it another shot today and it was lovely. Food was fresh and tasty. But the service was great. Young girl was polite and pleasant making sure we had what we needed to enjoy our food. Would return for the food and service.

09/09/2026: This is a review of the takeaway side of things they also do reservations and walk ins to their restaurant. I’ve been eating from this place for the last couple of years, and it suddenly occurred to me that I’d never actually left a review for this absolute gem! The food here is seriously banging. It reminds me of the old-school Chinese takeaways from years ago, when the quality seemed to be on another level. Black Wok in Blackrock certainly doesn’t skimp on the portions or quality. I know value can always be debated, especially in Dundalk, but personally, I think it’s more than fair. I never mind paying a little extra when I know I’m getting genuinely good-quality food. And the curry sauce deserves a special mention — absolutely stunning! If you’re looking for a proper, old-school Chinese takeaway with great-quality food, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try.

14/08/2026: Great location nice to order out of sit in. Service is fast food is really good taste quality and portion size good and never change. Staff are great

04/10/2026: Wagyu burguer was not good at all, not that was not wagyu but also as a beef burguer it was a disappointment. I would not call it a burger at all, it was more like a meatball in a dry bun with a thin slice of cheap cheese. Beside that the place is good and service is nice.

19/09/2026: A charming little restaurant with lovely staff, a family atmosphere, and cuisine that goes far beyond "just good food." Everything we ordered (chicken liver pâté, Wagyu burger, baked cod) was excellent, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. It's a shame my stay in Dundalk wasn't longer, as I would have loved to try the rest of the menu.
