The best restaurants in Dundalk

10/08/2025: Visited Dundalk Stadium for the first time for dog racing and had a great evening! The atmosphere is amazing — lively, exciting, and full of energy. There’s plenty of free car parking, which is a big plus. On the ground floor, there’s a takeaway café — handy for a quick bite, but the food was quite plain, with no seasoning or much flavour. Upstairs there’s a full restaurant with panoramic views of the track; we didn’t try it this time, but it’s definitely on the list for our next visit. The stadium is clean, well-organised, and offers both greyhound and horse racing events. Great facilities, bars, and plenty of seating. I hope that next time we’ll have a bit more knowledge about dog racing itself — for now, we just enjoyed the spectacle!

15/07/2025: Me and my Family had an absolutely fantastic experience at Dundalk Racing Stadium! From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine care. A special mention has to go to Laura—her communication in the lead-up to the event was second to none. She made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and her attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. On the night, the floor staff were outstanding. They couldn’t do enough for us—always on hand, friendly, and going out of their way to make sure everyone had a brilliant time. It really made the experience even more enjoyable. The stadium itself is a great venue, and when it’s matched with this level of service, it makes for a truly memorable night out. Highly recommend for a night at the races!

18/08/2025: A good restaurant in the city center of Dundalk. Amazing food and good service. Take away and sitting in are available. Wide range of steaks and options are available. The quantity and taste is next level.. Really a good place for a lunch.

03/08/2025: The Roma has been around a long time. I love their chicken curry and chips. The curry has a perfect blend of spice but not too overly spicy. I also love their 99 in a cup. The service is fast and the food is amazing. It’s quiet and relaxing inside. We will always remember Momma Roma.

20/07/2025: 'The Black Wok in Blackrock' Took until the 2nd page of the menu before I realised ...doh ! Anyway lovely wee place, takeaway seemed very busy, we sat in didn't book we had the table in the middle of the restaurant, proprietor later told us if we booked she could have put us somewhere else but as we were walkins we weren't too bothered. Food was good, portions were big, price wasn't crazy, came fast, service was excellent, staff from the top down very attentive, friendly and the whole atmosphere was lovely. Only 1 thing I'd say is ask for fresh cream on the irish coffee 🙂 but that's not a complaint 1st time in a long time we left a tip🤫

03/08/2025: My dad and I ate here back in April. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I ordered the chicken goujons with chips and a side of curry sauce. The portions are big. The restaurant is very cozy and enjoyable. We would definitely eat here again. Highly recommend!

14/08/2025: Fantastic food from this place every time. Had a doner kebab and it was amazing. One of my fav things from here tho is the onion rings, always crispy on outside and nice bite to onions on inside. yum yum

03/08/2025: This is one of my favorite restaurants in Dundalk. Their chicken curry is amazing. I love their portion sizes and prices. The service is fast and super friendly. Can sit where ever you want. The staff at the Europa never rush you. They always make you feel welcomed and at home. Note: if you’re getting the chicken curry, you don’t need extra sauce. It comes with allot of sauce already. Which is delicious. It’s the perfect combination. Not too spicy and not too bland. Chicken is cooked to perfection. I look forward to eating here every year.

26/06/2025: Finally, a really good Chinese restaurant in Ireland! I don’t often eat Chinese anymore, as it is really hard to find a decent one in this country so wait until I am travelling. So when I was invited to Jade Garden, it was a great little surprise. You always know if a place is decent by the staff behaviour and attitude, the outside, the glasses and the internal environment. If a good level of attention is given to those areas, you can be sure it follows through across the business. Jade Garden provided attentive and efficient service, decent wine, and very tasty, well presented food. I really enjoyed the duck!!! Worth a visit. Nothing to complain about. Very good standard. Been several times since!

04/10/2025: Ordered what i thought would be good grub but was shocked when we opened the layers of paper wrappings, Half pounder meals,, the burger tasted like a micky ds big mc, no flavour, cheap meat, soggy mean portions of chips, asked for salt & vinegar, very little if any on it, Boiled rice tasted like it came straight from a microwave, carton of peas tasteless & bland. Chicken tenders were the only edible thing in the order, Complete waste of money Would never get food here again Would of gave no stars if i had the option Avoid!

14/09/2025: Hours listening to this on a sunday. Stop. Do you know how many castle ross residents had to listen to this. Its extremely loud. Would it not be fair or reasonable to power wash during the week when everyones in work??

08/09/2025: We have to wait around 20min to someone come and take our order, at the end I have to go and find waitress to get our order. Food was ok, for that price could be better. Dessert wasn't the best, Pavlova was to hard and nothing special.

30/08/2025: I get weekends can be busy but waiting 58 mins for a telephone order is unacceptable. People also waiting to give orders standing at the counter and the phone rings and that gets attention quicker than the person that has drove in to order in person. I could go on but they won't care and nothing will likely change. Avoid
