The best restaurants in Dundalk

10/06/2026: The staff throughout the hotel were lovely. The reception staff were very welcoming and those in the bar/restaurant were great to chat with. We stayed the night and the hotel is convenient for a visit to local Blackrock area, which was relaxing for a coffee and stroll. Motorways are also convenient for easy access to the road home. 02/04/2026: I stayed at Fairways Hotel Dundalk for three nights. Overall, the experience was quite positive — the rooms were comfortable, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. However, I was quite disappointed with the restaurant service. One of the staff members, provided consistently poor service — he appeared unfriendly, inattentive, and at times even rude. This significantly affected the dining experience. I hope the hotel can address this, as otherwise it’s a great place to stay.

15/07/2026: Always a great experience here with the family. Facilities are ideal and the food and drink are reasonably priced.

01/06/2026: Was spotlessly clean, the restaurant was amazing the food was just like home cooking and staff so friendly!!!!

31/07/2026: Of all the takeaways i have had all over ireland this one is the king of them all. Chips fresh crispy and roasting hot every time and they are very generous with portions, the nacho burger wrap one of the most beautiful savoury delights i have ever tasted, reasonable prices, absolute must visit if you're ever hungry in dundalk

02/08/2026: Popped in for an early bite on Friday evening and tried the Wagyu burger special. Very impressive, tasty food, best chips in Dundalk and great service. 100% recommend a visit.

11/06/2026: Attended The 3rd Nature Based Solutions conference. LAWPRO facilitated. 2 Days Great venue. Accessible routes. Took public transport with a 20 min walk. Day 2 M1 direct . Parked with a fair rate.

26/06/2026: The service was really good and the staff were attentive it's just unfortunate that the food was not very good at all. The starter was greasy and had we think sweet and sour but it was awful. We then had sweet and sour chicken which was possibly the worst sauce and lacked flavour. We ordered a second sauce of Peking incase it was just an anomaly but unfortunately this was as bad as the first.

23/05/2026: We only got take away but the service was great and food was good.

08/12/2025: Called in here on Saturday night, nice atmosphere, good crowd but not overcrowded, enjoyed the band and great pints. We'll be back again.

26/07/2025: The Phoenix Park cafe is in a great location. The owners have the luxury of getting a captive audience due to the volume of people visiting the park and the lack of places to eat. I feel that the food has gone downhill. I’ve been consistently disappointed with the last few visits. My last visit was at the end of June. We all ordered lasagne and the food was dry and tasteless. There was a lack of choice of salads on the day that we visited. This restaurant used to be great. It’s a shame.

14/04/2026: Well run efficient friendly service, very busy takeaway, lots of options , huge menu, oriental noodles and other oriental dishes, spice bag very good. ( only reason for less stars is kids chicken strippers a little too much batter and not enough chicken, safer to order noodles or proper oriental dishes, spice bag lovely flavour, quite spicy

06/04/2026: Just had my first order here and OMG!! Nicest in town so far , the egg fried rice so clean white and full of flavor, salt and chilli noodle box amazing full of favor , everything was just cooked to perfection and full.of flavor my new takeaway⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

10/04/2026: I absolutely love this place and it’s my go to every time I come to Dundalk. Classic take away in all the right ways. Staff are great and it’s a staple!
