Time Bar & Restaurant
29/04/2024: Lots of bad reviews but frankly the meal was very good.
For groups: if you stay several days, it’s always the same menu… that’s a shame.
I was able to taste the chicken curry which was excellent and very spicy!
Their cocktails are also very good between 10 and 11€

25/07/2024: Fab coffee shop in a gorgeous location over looking the river. The coffee was really good, delicious ice cream and flapjacks and the staff were so nice. A great spot to watch the canoeists going by. There's a large covered area so plenty of shelter from the rain and the bathrooms are clean with baby changing facilities.
11/07/2024: Great place for a coffee and a snack!
Lovely seating right by the boyne.

28/07/2024: The biscoff latte was good, the chocolate on top of the dessert tasted a little bit old but the dessert in itself really good. Sadly the service was just not it.
17/05/2024: I must share, with a heavy heart and a dry palate, that our jaunt to Melt Cafe on the 15/05/24 was far from the delightful romp we had anticipated. The waffle, which should have been the pièce de résistance of morning tea, was as arid as the Sahara. Even the bananas and nuts, which bravely tried to save the day, were but a mirage of moisture. When I kindly requested the staff for a spot of extra syrup in hopes of a reprieve, it seemed as if reqesting it was as bothersome as a bee in one's bonnet, and yet, it vanished into the waffle leaving no trace of succulence.
The plot thickened, or rather didn’t, with the curious case of the missing cream. One does wonder why, with grocery shops a stone's throw away, this staple was not to be had. The sole alternative proffered was ice cream – a sweet, albeit frosty substitute that, even though tempting, is not suitable for everyone's diet.
Of particular note is the need for a brush-up on the staff's ability to communicate effectively with patrons who find speech a bit of a sticky wicket. Previous visits were marked by a more understanding touch, which was conspicuously absent this time around.
While I write this review in good humour, the hope lingers that Melt Cafe will whip their service and offerings into shape posthaste. A dollop of training, a splash of cream, and a more absorbent waffle might just put them back on the map.

11/04/2024: Very poor and slow service. Two ladies behind the counter were in slow motion and disorganised. This is my third and last time here with the same experience. The shop wasn't busy at all when I came, there was only 1 customer on the front of me. However I have to wait too long for one cappuccino and burned mozzarella croissant and ask 3 times for glass of water. There wasn't spoon within my coffee and the napkin on the cutlery was dirty. I removed the dishes from the table after previous customer as nobody would. I can't imagine this place in rush hour.
25/02/2024: One of the ladies behind the till was very rude towards many customers making fun of them and laughing at them when they walked away and 2 lady’s came in asking if they had chicken wraps and the rude lady said no and rolled her eyes and starting talking about them behind there back with another colleague even tho there was chicken wraps there. This lady should not have a job here she has no customer service I am very disappointed I will not be coming again .. 😡😡
