01/02/2026: I was expecting so much after reading the reviews. Disappointed. We went here for a special occasion. Service was excellent, and although the quality of ingredients were high, the food lacked that something special... especially considering the price. Wouldn't return.

01/01/2026: It was my first time in the restaurant and I loved it. The food was amaaaazing! And the service? Omg Suzy is a such wonderful person that brought all of the shine to our evening! She was the key of our good moment recommending the wine. All the time checked on us and made us feel very comfortable. Definitely I am going to come back.

14/09/2025: Service was appalling, was trying to order a drink was asked to move certain area so I did. Then proceeded to get ignored by the bar staff who asked me to move in so I asked why, again because I was “not in the que” even though there was no designated Que here sign. Didn’t get name but very distinct staff member, Round glasses and mullet working upstairs by the smoking area absolutely awful service. All could have been avoided by better communication.

07/03/2026: This time I only had a takeaway coffee - which was excellent - but I’ve been there many times and have never been disappointed. The crepes are always very good quality, with plenty of tasty options on the menu. Some parts of the place could probably use a renovation, especially considering how iconic the location is, but overall it never disappoints.

21/02/2026: I bought a nice organic salmon from this establishment and I have asked a staff member to fillet it for me. Unfortunately the lack of fish monger skills meant that a beautiful fish was absolutely "Butchered". I trusted the staff member that agreed to fillet my fish however, once I made it home I discovered that one of the fillets had been badly damaged while the other one still had the back bone still attached to the fillet. When I contacted the shop to complain about what happened, I was told that the store manage would have been in touch to resolve the issue however, no one from Beshoffs was in touch and I ended up with a "mangled" organic salmon. Given the situation, the poor skills in filleting a fish (in a fish monger shop) and the fact that nobody bothered to get in touch with me despite my complaint, I think a one star review is well deserved.

12/12/2025: Booking canceled on day of booking following confirmation via phone 2 days prior, avoid at all costs.

01/03/2026: An average brunch for above average prices. Had high hopes, but underwhelmed. Not terrible, but not warranting their prices. Perhaps we mis-ordered, but avo toast with fridge-cold garnishes causing the eggs and bacon to be cold, and eggs florentine where the spinach wasn’t strained so lots of excess water. Minor mistakes that could easily be fixed.

26/02/2026: Very nice restaurant between Dawson and Grafton Street. We were a party of 7 so had to book. Food is very good, our son had 2 main courses as they were so good, this instead of a dessert. My wife raved about her fish and my daughter really enjoyed the steaks, both cooked to perfection. I somehow got talked into a baby Guinness, not so bad. The wine was good, although they were out of our first choice. The Eton Mess was not up to much but the cheesecake was nice. All in all a very good meal in a nice place with very good service.

14/02/2026: Decent vegan breakfast, however we never got beans that supposed to come with it (only realised at the end, so there was no point asking for it). But overall was tasty and large. Tables could be a little bit further from each other tho.

31/01/2026: Consistently the best restaurant in Dalkey in taste and value for money. Old favorites (tagine & hake) with new dishes (fish spice box, ribs) make for a great night out. Highly recommended. Service always top notch. My photos do not do presentation justice, food looked and tasted great.
