The menu offered many delicious items to choose from. The onion soup was absolutely delightful, perfect balance of other vegetables along with the onions, which were the highlight. My husband enjoyed every bite of the duck conft salad.
For the entrée, I enjoyed a very rich and tasty shrimp and lobster risotto. Scott was wowed by the sole which was deboned at our table.
The servers were very friendly and shared the history of this venue.
!Chapeau! Hats off to the chef! And staff.
17/09/2025: We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Marianna (hopefully I spelled that correctly) was amazing. She was our waitress and she made the best drinks + great conversation. I had the pasta with clams and mussels- amazing. My wife had the chkn. Everything was great, excellent and we had a great time. Dessert and the Irish coffee was excellent as well. Highly recommended. We stayed at the lodge.

04/06/2025: Contained in the huge English Market SC ,this place stands out from all the other exceptional vendors. Just a small stall with usually only 3 workers, it can turn out food to die for. All sandwiches are make rite on the spot. You can customize or order any of the house specials. Grab a special, find a quiet spot, (not possible) and enjoy.

18/03/2026: Today I tried the special,fried chicken pancakes with hot honey glazed. Absolutely delicious. Crispy and sweet, so flavoursome. Staff are always lovely. Love coming here.
09/03/2026: Love going here for a coffee here, but the cashier working on Saturday wouldn’t encourage you to return…she was just downright rude, absolutely devoid of any ounce of customer service. Would recommend removing her to an area where her strengths could be discovered.

04/04/2026: I had such a lovely evening here the burgers both look and taste amazing with high quality meat. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, lovely buzz around the place. The service couldn’t be faulted at all every member of staff was incredibly helpful. I really recommend booking a reservation if you are in or around Galway.

05/12/2025: Don’t get the fish box unless you love pure batter and no fish …. Also got garlic mushrooms with no garlic dip , they went straight into the bin after tasting one !! Won’t be going back there again

21/02/2026: I ordered spicy butter chicken with garlic naan. The butter chicken was a strange yellowish color almost resembling nacho cheese, and while it did not taste bad necessarily, it was nothing like butter chicken. The sauce was far too sweet and tasted syrupy. It lacked any other taste of spices. The naan tasted much more like pizza dough than actual naan, and it had no garlic flavor whatsoever. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone wanting authentic or even authentic-adjacent Indian food.
17/02/2026: Terrible experience. I ordered “mild,” expecting less spice—not a coconut-based sugary syrup. The taste was completely off and very disappointing.
