The Cottage Restaurant
09/03/2025: I have eaten here a few times a year for the last 10 years but never left a review. It is my favourite place in the world to eat. We feel so lucky to have this beautiful restaurant so close to us.
The flavour of the food is amazing and continues to improve. We are so thankful for the skill of the chefs and that we get to enjoy it on a regular basis.

Ardcarne Garden Cafe
09/03/2025: I ordered a rose plant for my grandmothers birthday which unfortunately was out of stock - however the staff went above and beyond to phone me and provide me with another stunning rose plant. The rose received was so much nicer than what I had originally ordered, would not hesitate to order from here again, they really do everything they can for customers and it was so lovely and appreciated!

05/03/2025: Really great experience! Bartender was super nice and welcoming as were the locals. I had the homemade vegetable soup and my husband had the Bacon and Cabbage. Both were delicious!
22/02/2025: 6 of us had lunch at a pre reserved table in this busy little pub/ restaurant. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Straightforward hearty old fashioned good quality food cooked well and presented nicely.
Toilets clean.
Definitely would recommend.
Well done to a really lovely Team who made our family reunion in Boyle a great experience.

12/12/2024: Anyone looking for celiac friendly coffee shop in Castleblaney with quality food and knowledgeable friendly staff this is the place to go. Even a choice of gluten free bread for sandwiches.
Clean,comfortable with outdoor courtyard dining and easy parking. Highly recommended.

16/02/2025: This restaurant serves top notch food in a cosy setting. Small but creative menu with local produce taking centre stage (No conveyer -belt food served here!!). There's a lovely shop on the premises too so you browse around it and buy goodies to take home...A real foodie heaven. Also there are wonderful pieces of art / photography for sale. Well worth a visit.

14/01/2025: Popped in for a family lunch and was delighted with the experience. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Staff were brilliant and attentive. Service was prompt and when we needed more chips/drinks they brought them out straight away. Would definitely go back. Very picturesque spot beside the Shannon too.

05/07/2024: Shame it closed - Best coffee I've found so far in Ireland. It's the equivalent of Espresso 44 in Galway, with even better coffee. The shop is small and always smells like freshly brewed coffee. Crazy idea, but I'd love it if they would also sell the best coffee scented candles they could find from Yankees and hand crafted. Friendly staff, impeccably clean.
