21/02/2026: I had dinner in this lovely restaurant today and it was such a great experience from start to finish. All of the staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable straight away. The food was absolutely amazing!!! I ordered the traditional fish and chips and it completely blew me away! The atmosphere was cosy, and really comforting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. I would 100% recommend this restaurant overall the experience was fantastic and I will definitely be returning soon! 😃

05/02/2026: The best place to go in Waterford, food and atmosphere is always great. “Chicken” is a great host. Steak is always cooked just right and great portion sizes. Highly recommend

23/02/2026: Omg this place is absolutely beautiful. I went for my 50th birthday and it was fabulous. I had wings and the burger. The wine was fabulous and we had a cocktail after. My hubbie had the croquettes and burger which he loved so did my son. My other fussy son had spag bol. He licked the plate clean. We were served by the lovely Rinelle (hope I got the spelling right) she was an absolutely fabulous lady and brilliant at her job. They brought me out ice cream and sang happy birthday to me. 10 out of 10 this place is. Highly recommended. Thank you Rinelle for making my birthday so fantastic

22/03/2026: We had a family gathering for Trish's "significant" birthday last Friday. What a brilliant night! The setting, the atmosphere, the service, the food...all top class. We had three children with us (ages 5 & 7) and Kamila made a special fuss over them making them feel very much at home and generating a very happy atmosphere around the table. A visit to this fabulous restaurant is always a treat but Friday night was extra special. Míle buíochas mór from all the Kavanaghs!

21/03/2026: This is honestly the best service I’ve seen in Ireland in my 20 years working in gastronomy. The two ladies working here are incredible — they’re worth a million to this bar, and they’re what truly make it special. First of all, they’re beautiful, professional, and incredibly well-organized. Together, they complement every aspect of this place perfectly. Everyone here feels happy and well taken care of. The highest respect for the service here — and of course, the food is top-level too, from traditional Irish dishes to a mix of international cuisine. Personally, this is my favorite bar so far.

15/03/2026: It was very busy, but despite this we were seated in a few minutes, served quickly and checked in on regularly! The food was fabulous, it's a lovely pub too!

21/11/2025: I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast experience at The Olive Cafe located in Waterford City, I ordered their Eggs Benedict, and it was truly wonderful. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked,Not only was the food outstanding, but the overall experience was also exceptional. The service was prompt and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cafe's cozy ambiance added to the enjoyment of the meal.

04/04/2026: Had a great time at Geoff's today for lunch. Called to reserve a table and the manager said they will keep a seat for us. Got there, got seated, and had a great time. Shout out to Alex who answered the email query and Sam at the bar who got us sorted!

01/04/2026: A wonderfully cozy pub – exactly how I imagine a pub should be! The pie of the day (beef) was excellent, served without extra chips, but with a green salad and haddock with chips! The staff was very attentive and friendly, never intrusive – truly lovely hosts 👌🫶 made our visit perfect! 🙏

21/01/2026: Truly beautiful pub and spectacular food. We returned to this area on vacation specifically to have dinner here. Everything was delicious, from the fish to the meat, fabulous desserts, and excellent beer.

28/10/2025: Waow ! That is an amazing pub, the lady was really nice and we can warn up near a friendly fire after a good hike. The guiness was perfect and people in the pub really nice ! I recommend it !

16/03/2026: 10/10 experience. Walking distance from the Anderson’s Quay bus station (highly recommend Kavanaugh coach). Private and quiet location off the main street. Open your window to enjoy the birds in the morning. Friendly, fast welcome at check in. Tidy and unfussy room was very comfortable and spacious. Shower water pressure was next-level. Biscuits and tea was a lovely finish to a long day. Close walk to dining options. Royal Wok is delicious and right around the corner. Endless shops and High Street close by. So perfect, can’t wait to be back.
