The best restaurants in Waterford

09/08/2026: Food was fantastic. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try. I had the goats cheese salad and the chilli prawns. Both were absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and we had great service even on a very busy night. We knew it was going to be good when the taxi man told us we picked the best place in town when he dropped us there.

08/08/2026: Cannot stress enough how good the service is , the atmosphere the staff the food ! Big shout out to Quila ! Waitress of the year award goes too!!

01/06/2026: A gem of a place...traditional irish dishes dome superbly. Great staff , and the personal touch from the owner is wonderful and unique.

10/08/2026: Clean place, a good range of hot fresh foods on the menu, coffee and iced lattés. Comfortable booths, some outdoor seating. Decor bland. Very convenient after visiting the garden centre and hardware stores. Plenty of parking right outside.

06/08/2026: The owner worked us in tho this busy restaurant was full. I ordered a fish pie which was superb, added some veggies which I was almost too full to eat, and G ordered plaice and loved it. We were so glad to have found this wonderful restaurant.

29/08/2026: Phenomenal homemade bread, pastries and good coffee! Huge satisfying sandwiches and a great vegetarian and meat selection.

22/08/2026: We walked past Berkana when we first arrived in Waterford and noticed the sandwiches that people were eating on the patio. On our way back, we stopped for a late lunch and ordered 2 sandwiches…. The turkey special and the parm ham special. The white bread had a soft crumb and a crispy crust. An amazing masterpiece! We also had a homemade apple/raspberry tart… perfection! We chatted with the owner and came to realize that she and her partner bake and create all the breads, pastries and treats themselves! On our way out she gave us a lovely pastry. Try this cute little sandwich/salad, coffee and pastry shop…. You’ll be glad you did!

04/07/2026: Wow just wow!! This was the nicest food I ever got in any restaurant, I got the tagliatelle with mushroom sauce tonight and it was just amazing!! I came for my birthday and the waiters even sang happy birthday and had a candle in my desert, such a lovely touch!! The waiters were so friendly and even showed my little boy a trick with toothpicks which he loved! Thank you so much , best restaurant in Ireland 🙏

04/08/2026: Friendly staff. Minimal portion. We came for a bite to eat around 4 pm, so we didn't want a main course. We ordered the Caesar salad starter for €14. The taste was good, but this was a really small portion. There were barely 3 small pieces of chicken in it. A shame.

09/08/2026: The food is great, but there's a discrepancy between the menu published on Google Maps (not just the pictures, but also the menu itself) and what is available at the restaurant. The East Road Grill was supposed to cost €13.95 each and be served with tea/americano, but it actually costs €14.95 and the tea/mericano is excluded. The difference of more than €4 per person is significant.

08/08/2026: Rarely have we eaten such an exquisite meal with such friendly staff! AAA Plus! Thank you! It couldn't be better! We came back again, and it was truly exceptionally delicious, with impeccable service. We have many great restaurants in Switzerland, but this one is among the very best! Thank you ♥️

05/08/2026: Amazing place to visit. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. So visit when hungry, the atmosphere of the pub was great lots of friendly people to have a chat to. You go there and make so many friends that were previously strangers.

15/08/2026: Alexander was top class, absolute gentleman and clearly passionate about his craft. He gave us his signature whiskey sour recipe and it was delicious, the best I ever had. We also tried a lavender cocktail which was a pleasant surprise. A Great bar with very friendly and accommodating staff.

02/09/2026: Excellent breakfast, lovely surroundings, great pricing for the quality you get. I came in when seating was full, they said come back in 10/15 mins. When I arrived back after 10 mins they had a table reserved for me! Really appreciated that

07/08/2026: Excellent coffee provided, beautiful calm seating area within café. I am deeply sorry, I forget the beautiful ladies name that served me my coffee. However, I said to her I like my coffee dark and strong, like herself. She was obviously local, extremely professional about her work. She provided me with honey for my coffee, which I ❤️, thank you for your kind assistance. This lady should get a pay rise as she added to the ambiance of the Cafe. Amazing selection of wines also provided within this establishment. Local products on hand. I would highly recommend a visit to this location. Thank you for a short but beautiful experience ❤️. On this ladies advice, I then headed for the Haven in Dunmore east. A sunny day in my beautiful country 🇮🇪.

31/07/2026: great variety of grocery stuffs. fresh from the farm. baked goodies. they have some of jaybees chocolate cake and brownies as well. very nife cafe shop nearby that offers good food as well.

15/07/2026: Beautiful Irish pub full of history and good craic. Would recommend to anyone passing by the area to stop off for a pint! Bartender was brilliant too! Shoutout to him!

12/07/2026: Absolutely amazing old pub with truly outstanding food. The langoustines and scallops we had were on another level. I haven’t had seafood this good anywhere else in Ireland. I highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try some of their meat dishes in the future.
