The best restaurants in Waterford

11/11/2025: Delicious and generous portions, incredibly friendly staff. We're staying in Waterford for a year and we'll be going back several times throughout the year! I highly recommend the bacon-cabbage.

31/10/2025: The Grattan Bar in Waterford is an absolute gem. The food was fantastic — full of flavour and had that real home-cooked feeling you rarely find these days. The service was excellent, and we were served by the lovely couple who own the place — they couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming. They were also incredibly accommodating, even allowing us to bring our dog inside for dinner in a separate room — something that’s very hard to find. And the Guinness — absolutely top class! Creamy, smooth, and without that bitter aftertaste you get in many other bars. One of the nicest pints I’ve had in Ireland. Overall, one of the best spots for bar food and a proper pint — warm atmosphere, amazing hosts, and delicious food. Highly recommended!

24/10/2025: Wonderful food and service. My wife had the Penne ala Cabrese and I had the Seabass. Both were excellent! Definitely recommend reservations.

30/10/2025: Great location, reservations available with Open Table. They've a new menu, as of mid-October 2025. Delicious special of Hake. Great desserts, when in doubt, choose chocolate! Delightful servers!

16/11/2025: Staff were lovely. Food over all average. Nothing special. Vegetables on the side, had zero flavour. Garlic bread looked like frozen sliced bread, you would bye in a supermarket. Quite expensive also.

08/11/2025: Possibly one of the nicest meals I have ever had . Couldn't fault the food at all and staff were very friendly. Highly recommended for a beautiful meal.

28/07/2025: This cafe was amazing! My partner and I had the best oat milk latte and Mocha along with a delicious apple turnover (vegan)! They had a huge selection of on the menu of sandwiches, pizzas and sweet treats it was hard to pick just one thing so we took a few things away with us for home later. The staff were so lovely and helpful and overall it was just such a pleasant experience I can’t wait to go back!

24/07/2025: This place is a real gem! Delicious salads, sandwiches and meat and cheese boards (I’m looking at you gluten free folks) in a welcoming, clean, non-ostentatious environment. Because it’s a bakery everything is incredibly fresh! Oh and the baked goods are delicious.

17/10/2025: Love going to this Osteria, every time we are in Waterford we pop in, the food is amazing just like in Rome. We always leave with a few extra tubs of tiramisu.

28/10/2025: Waow ! That is an amazing pub, the lady was really nice and we can warn up near a friendly fire after a good hike. The guiness was perfect and people in the pub really nice ! I recommend it !

27/10/2025: The place has a great location. Unfortunately, the starter was disappointing, the bruschetta needs a lot of improvement. The potatoes were not bad, but the worst was the banoffee. It had too much cream, almost no caramel and zero banana. Not recommended.
