18/10/2024: Nice mid day lunch venue. Very quiet.

29/10/2024: Great hotel! I struggle to fault it. Staff were lovely, rooms were excellent and a tasty breakfast. I believe it also has a gym and pool. Wasn't too expensive either. It's a bit of a drive out of town but staff will call a taxi for you (taxis take cards).

16/11/2024: Decent Italian restaurant. Food is good but nothing to write home about, the bruschetta was sadly made the wrong way, all the ingredients were there but instead of putting the garlic on the bread after toasting the bread, they put it on after the tomato, this makes for drier bread, a lesser end product and ignores the traditional way of making bruschetta. The pizza and lasagna were both nice but the lasagna was way too small ( in the picture only the square covered in cheese is the actual lasagna), it would take you just a few bites to finish it, better put it on the starter menu. The chocolate brownie dessert was really nice and was a good ending to it all. Overall the restaurant was nice, service was friendly and the food was quite good but they can just improve here and there.

10/07/2024: Very good Italian chipper in Monksland. The staff are very friendly and the food is good. Usually quite busy so can be a little waiting time if you're not ordering over phone. Recommended if in the area

05/10/2024: For a small looking pub on the outside it has plenty of welcome space. The sign on the door outside said live football, horse racing etc and we weren't disappointed as there is a paddy power bookmakers a few doors down. Michelle and Rachel were very welcoming and chatty despite dealing with customers. Highly recommend a visit if your a sports fan or otherwise.

01/07/2024: We spent the best evening of our trip to Ireland here, with a 50th birthday, karaoke, and absolutely lovely people. And the cheapest Guinness of the trip!

02/11/2024: Caffe Nero has always been my most favourite place in Athlone for catching up with friends or studying. My dog really loves this place too. The staff are very helpful and welcoming each time. The staff always accommodate your preferences by creating interesting drinks such as an interesting ‘snickers hot chocolate’ but with hazelnut syrup! (Which I highly recommend). My dog was welcomed with a cup of dog-friendly cream which she loved! Thank you Caffe Nero team for such exceptional service in our little town!!!

29/10/2024: A hearty, exciting and welcoming atmosphere in every section of this establishment. The staff are exceptional and we’re extremely accommodating for someone who doesn’t drink in our group. They even allowed the person have fake shots to join in with friends. A young man named Kyle was on the ball and made sure we felt like vips and i could see he gave everyone the same treatment a real old school bar man touch. I will be back!
