11/07/2026: The cake was beautiful and as advertised.
The price was fair also.
However we were handed a cake in 25 degree heat with no lid and told “store in a cold place.”
The cake was for party in a restaurant 15 mins away and only when we insisted a lid should be provided was one fashioned out of plastic bags. The staff insisted they never preseng a cake with a lid. This is very bizarre.
This really lets down your service.
The cake tasted really good! Please invest in some lids and some proper cake boxes!

29/09/2025: Great morning spot. French Toast with fresh fruit, bacon, snd maple syrup was yummy. Hubby had omelette and potatoes. The vanilla latte and mochas were also tasty and even seconds to go:)

12/06/2026: Its a simple accomodation but thats reflectes in the price . Very central . Rooms are clean and i had a perfect sleep . Abpve all staff is very friensly and helpfull . I came here with my bicycle and after asking where i could.park the bike safely they wven gave me the option of taking it intp my room . Also the adjacent bar serves very decent food at a reasonable price . Overall very pleasant experience to stay at the bailey .

27/07/2026: The food is fabulous and also eally fresh and authentic. We had chicken wings with Indian spices, chicken curry, rice, garlic nan and a kebab. Everything was gorgeous, would definitely go again. Very good menu choices and vegetarian. They mostly do takeaway but they have small seating area too if you want to eat in. No wine. Service excellent

04/08/2026: This outlet offers a range of takeaway options in a single store which is convenient if you're struggling to decide what floats your boat on the day of your visit. The service is fairly quick and we did not have to wait long for our pizza. It's a good option for a fast takeaway and it also has a seating area if you wish to eat in.
31/07/2026: I was deeply disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. As a customer, I felt I was treated differently because of my background—something I experienced as racial discrimination. Such behavior is unacceptable and has no place in any establishment open to the public.
I hope management takes this situation seriously, conducts an investigation, and implements measures to ensure that all customers are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.

21/06/2026: One of the best places for Pizza in Athlone. If not the best. Too yummy be it any pizza. Have it hot. And preferably there to experience the wholesome experience. Very courteous and professional folks. Kind too. The chef once gave me a cook book cos I was the only guy reading it. Their family packs are crazy deals too.

03/08/2025: Brunch time on a Friday! Place was very busy, but the staff did a great job keeping everyone attended.
I had the small breakfast with a very nice coffee and the brown bread is DELICIOUS.

15/08/2026: I Booked Jalan Jalan for Saturday night at 7 for two and was given a lovely seat at the window, when we sat down to read the menu we were spoilt for choices so we ended on duck rolls and California maki to start and had Singapore noodles and duck soup noodles for main and from start to finish everything was delicious and the service was fabulous. Definitely recommend and will hopefully make a trip back to Athlone to try again

29/07/2026: Loved the left bank, visiting Athlone last weekend and booked without knowing much about the restaurant. Blown away with the food and service. Will definitely visit again.
09/07/2026: There were more flies than patrons. My boyfriend and I were sat and the waitress took our order with an awful dismissive attitude. Another table of 4 came in after we ordered and received their food first. Waited an additional 30 minutes after our plates were cleared to receive the bill, and still had to ask and wait for the bill. Only 2 tables in the whole place. Food was mediocre at best. Service was just off the charts terrible. 4 waitresses all standing around.

27/07/2026: I’ve ordered from this restaurant on numerous occasions through what’s for dinner, but unfortunately one of the sandwiches that I ordered yesterday, Sunday 26th July contained a foreign object that my husband almost choked on. It appears to be the foil top that you would remove from a bottle of mayonnaise or similar.
What’s for dinner customer service are unable to contact the restaurant in order to let them know what happened. I’m incredibly disappointed and won’t be ordering from the wandering elk again as there is obviously a quality control/ due diligence issue here.

03/08/2026: Ordered a pizza and garlic bread, went in to collect and on my name was ready. The pizza was ready but then they had to go and make the garlic bread, about 7-8 working behind. Another lady also had to wait for something as her order wasn’t fully fulfilled after calling her name and another guy walked out with a large pizza with no dip inside.
Pizza was slightly cold as a result by the time I got home
