12/01/2025: To be honest this is a must eat place. From start to finish. The team are so friendly and attentive nothing is to small. We tipped €25.00 cash that's how good it was. The food is perfect, honestly I'm a harsh critic but I couldn't fault anything. 10 out of 10. The starters are perfect sizes we had a share platter and shared a dessert. The flavours, presentation, ambiance just everything is honestly perfect. They have a delightful array of cocktails, we had just one each and all I can say is get here as soon as you can. We will be back again and again. A birthday made very special. 🥰

10/12/2024: Great place for coeliacs. Separate fryers for the chips. Burger delicious. Owner very knowledgeable on accommodating people with coeliac disease. Even down to the little jellies as a thank you treat.

17/11/2024: Went for a meal with friends, and the food did not disappoint. Really tasty burger along with loaded fries. Reasonable prices too. The service was a little slow from the waitress to take our order but other than that a very good experience.

01/12/2024: My family and I loved this pub very much. The staff was very very friendly and helpful. Their drinks, food, and ambience were great too. It's definitely worth visiting this pub again and again.

13/01/2025: A night out with my Daughter for my birthday and hers this month before she returns to university, it was a quiet night at the restaurant, the young server was pleasant and welcoming, the meal Chicken of Eireann was "Lonely"!! the plate was empty almost, some fresh veg wouldn't have gone amiss!! the chips or "fries" as advertised ?? were FROZEN chips for these prices I don't expect Frozen chips, My Daughter had the Harbour fish cakes she was happy enough with her meal

05/01/2025: Uno de nuestros lugares favoritos en Donegal para cenar. Comimos aquí el 30 / 12 la primera noche de nuestras vacaciones y luego de nuevo el 2 / 1 / 25 , última noche de nuestras vacaciones. La primera noche que estuvimos allí estaba muy ocupado con grupos grandes, nos dieron una mesa encantadora para 3 arriba. El personal era amable y la comida era de primera clase. Comí un filete que fue cocinado a la perfección. Bonito menú variado. Anoche no decepcionó, hermosa comida de nuevo (salsas tan sabrosas) y disfrutamos mucho del ambiente. Gracias por volver en nuestras próximas vacaciones!

31/12/2024: From the picture, you can see that my plate is empty while my friend across from me has her meal. There were four of us, and unfortunately, the waiter got all our orders wrong. First, the tables were dirty when we arrived. I had to ask him three times to clean them, and I was even willing to do it myself. Eventually, he came and cleaned the tables. As I’m new to the place and unfamiliar with the menu, I explained my order clearly. I told him I wanted a lot of protein and even pointed to the meal of a customer who was already eating. I also mentioned that I didn’t want my sausages overcooked. When it was time to serve, every meal had something missing: The first two people in our group specifically requested no pudding and extra eggs. They received pudding and no extra eggs. The lady opposite me ordered iced coffee but was served tea. ( She didn’t even want to complain cause I already spoke about my own meal) My meal was the biggest issue. It was completely different from what I ordered. I didn’t get the meal I pointed to, and there were no sausages at all. My plate only had eggs and bacon, honestly, it was so disappointing. I brought this to the attention of the staff( the meal). One of them took my meal back to the kitchen but returned, saying her boss (the person who took my meal) had closed the kitchen and I had two options: eat the meal as it was or let her take it back. I chose the latter and said I wouldn’t have it. Three minutes later, the waiter came back with the same meal, placed it rudely on my table, and told me I had to pay for it. I returned the meal to him, explaining that I wasn’t going to eat it. I reminded him that his staff had given me the option not to take the meal, and I chose that option. Yet now he was insisting I eat it—as though I were a child. I told him I was happy to pay for the meal if necessary, but I didn’t want it. When I said this, he suddenly changed his tone, told me not to pay, and said, “Bye, Happy New Year” in a dismissive and disrespectful way. It was disheartening. I sat there without food while others ate, and instead of being apologetic, he was defensive. The kitchen closed at 2 PM, which may have caused his defensiveness, but it doesn’t excuse the dirty tables, incorrect orders, or poor attitude. I had hoped for a good time with my friends, but this experience was far from it. Oh and yeah. He didn’t want to work on my meal bc the kitchen was closed right? But 49 minutes later he service someone else and full Irish breakfast. I won’t be coming here again. All the best.

09/12/2024: Absolutely delicious breakfast and great, quiet atmosphere. I loved how peaceful the café felt. As another comment points out, this business seems the result of a labor of love.

23/11/2024: The girls enjoyed their meal but the goat cheese salad was only ok. The fillet steak was well done when I asked for medium rare. It eatable but nothing special. The dessert was the best part. I loved the panna cotta.

04/01/2025: I have a big issue with an Irish breakfast place not serving a Full Irish. There are no sausages or fried eggs (doesn't make sense if you have other types off egg) on the menu. The portion sizes are also quite small. Wouldn't be in a rush back.

28/12/2024: Superb! With the loss of Nash 19, Liberty Grill has to be one of the best brunch spots in Cork. Great staff, food amazing and reasonably priced!

11/01/2025: Very positive experience. Location is second to none with spectacular views of Howth harbour. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Mussels to atart were tasty, would've liked small piece of bread to mop. Chicken was tasty, bit small, but tasty dauphinoise & al dente veg strips were a nice accompaniment. Service was very attentive. I found prices slightly high for local restaurant. But overall a very positive experience and highly recommended

10/01/2025: Very cosy place with really tasty food. Starters of Goats Cheese salad / King Prawns followed by Sea Bass / Chicken dishes - all excellent. Tiramisu was delicious. Service was very friendly by all three staff serving us. Top notch experience.

06/01/2025: Considering the price of the meal and the many steak references all around the restaurant I expected better. Our starters were 'grand' but the main course of steak - the striploin 10 oz steak - was a disappointment. There was no garnish on the plate. A small gravy boat of peppered sauce was placed on the plate with the steak and it came with chips or champ or salad. This cost €40. They may have been paring back the 'effects' so that all of the attention was on the steak. That would have been perfectly fine if the steak had lived up to expectation but unfortunately it didn't. The chips were beautiful and the staff were great but the meal definitely was not worth the price paid.

01/01/2025: Todo fantástico, tienen una carta de vinos extensa y con botellas magnum que se agradece cuando el grupo es grande. La carne espectacular, el trato maravilloso, muy atento y los postres muy ricos. La mejor comida en Dublín con diferencia. Nos gustó particularmente la decoración, volveremos si visitamos Dublín de nuevo.

16/01/2025: Favourite place to eat out in Dublin. The set menu is so reasonably priced, it makes it possible to enjoy a thee course meal without breaking the bank. Food is delicious, and the staff have always been super friendly with a great welcome. Not one thing I can fault. Steaks are so tasty, very well seasoned and cooked perfect. Sweet potato fries are possibly the best I’ve had. We have never been let down and we will certainly be back again.

15/01/2025: I had the pleasure of visiting an outstanding steak restaurant in Dublin and would like to share my experience with a five star review. The price-performance ratio was simply unbeatable. The steak was grilled to perfection and the broccoli side dish was equally delicious. The service was extremely friendly and the ambience of the restaurant was very pleasant and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak experience in Dublin.

11/01/2025: Darwins is somewhere that I have gone too a few times now and intend to visit again this year. You simply can't fault the table service. The food is of a very high standard and most of my group enjoyed their meal. The only exception this time around was a steak that was not as jucy as the previous time and a bit on the thin side. The pepper sauce and the veg etc. where superb, and on the strength of my previous experiences, I would recommend and go again. If you have read any of my previous reviews, you may notice I mention the toilets. In this case, they are clean, easy to find, and stocked with paper. 😉. You will not regret a visit here with Amy and the rest of the staff.
