23/12/2025: My friends and I came here for a drink---the seats were comfortable, it was easy to get water, and the bread my friend ordered tasted great. I'd absolutely come again! We were here on a Saturday afternoon and left just as it turned to evening and since it's just a short walk away from the densest area of city center, it was still peaceful! It's great if you're looking to go to a pub where you can actually hear what your friends are saying!

30/12/2025: I’d come across Mad Egg multiple times but never got around to visiting it, until a weekday lunch finally changed that, and I’m glad it did. The experience was brilliant from start to finish. The menu is concise and well thought out, which makes choosing easy without feeling limited. Great deals,everything we ordered, from the burgers to the tenders, was packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly the star of the show. Service was smooth and efficient, and the overall vibe of the place added to the experience. Top-notch food, great execution, and thoroughly delicious. Highly recommended.

19/11/2025: Up for business and got the fish & chips. Fish portion was big and tasty but everything but for €22 it would need to be. Frozen chips and tiny portion of peas. €9 for a glass of wine. Donegal town just feels like a price gouge for tourists.

I loved sitting at the counter with the **grill right in front of me**, watching the chefs at work while enjoying an **excellent Italian wine**. 25/09/2025: Mind-Blowing Quality—Worth Every Penny! We are from Switzerland, a place where steak is already incredible, but this restaurant truly blew us away! The meat was absolutely fantastic—a cut above. We ordered the Delmonico and the fillet steak, and both were utterly perfect. The service was impeccable, and the wine selection was equally impressive. This is a genuinely high-end establishment with high end prices prices that are completely justified by the outstanding quality delivered. Nice flair and good service and vibes. Deserves the full five stars!

10/01/2026: Came as a group of 4 lads on a very busy Friday night. Staff accommodated us in the quickest way they could. By far the best burgers, chicken, slaw and fries we’ve ever had. It was so good we had to shake the chefs hand😂

15/01/2026: Had a really good meal at Rosa Madre. Started with the burrata and tomatoes, fresh and tasty, just good honest food. The crab toast was very nice as well, full of flavour and done right. For the main, I had the fillet steak and it was cooked just how it should be — tender and full of taste. Nothing fancy for the sake of it, just proper food done well. They also have a huge wine list, plenty to choose from, no matter what you like. All in all, a solid Italian restaurant with good food, good wine, and a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a proper meal. Would happily go back.

15/01/2026: A must-visit Italian in Dublin!!! My family came to visit me from Spain and I took them to Rosa Madre. The atmosphere was amazing, they gave us a really comfortable table and the staff were attentive the whole time. The price is totally fair for the portion sizes and, above all, for the flavour. We tried the burrata, the octopus and the oysters, I really liked all and was beautifully presented. The location is amazing too, just a two-minute walk from Temple Bar, so you can finish the night with a cocktail in the centre. My parents were really happy. I’ll definitely bring anyone who comes to visit me here, 100% worth it.
