The best restaurants in Cavan

27/06/2025: This is my second time eating at People's, the first being 2 years ago before any renovations. The place looks so much more modern and inviting - a sleek and stylish new look. The food was great, the staff were extremely friendly, I'm definitely going to come back here a lot! I came here for my fiancé's birthday and there was a great variety in the menu, I went for the onion bhaji for starter and Pork Belly roulade for mains, both really flavoursome and plated great. Beef bourguinon special was tender and the portion was huge, actually all portions are incredibly generous, I would actually say you could cut that back haha We were too full for dessert but received a lovely Happy Birthday plate from the guys which was very generous and a nice little touch. Cocktails are also great - a great spot much needed in Cavan. Go here!

08/06/2025: Expect food to arrive at least half an hour on Sundays. The food is very tasty, interesting specials, a lot of Asian inspired dishes 👍

16/07/2025: Really lovely hotel. Good for families with young children. Big rooms. Staff friendly and efficient. Good swimming pool and nice playpark and gardens. Location close to shops.

27/06/2025: We were staying 2 nights in the Farnham estate but wanted to eat in the town. We loved this place so much on night one that we came back the second night. We ate different mains on both nights & both were fantastic. The sticky toffee pudding was a great end to the meal..whether you decide to share or not lol. Good menu selection. The staff were brillant, very attentive & friendly. The interior was lovely. When we are back in Cavan we will definitely be back again. All I can say is enjoy😋

26/06/2025: You shouldn't list the curry as vegetarian if it contains fish. Apart from being inaccurate, it's dangerous for those with fish allergies. I was going to eat here as it looked nice, but on seeing the menu, I walked away. You need to either change the recipe or change your menu.

22/06/2025: Great American themed diner. Love the movie posters on the Walls, made for some interesting conversations with the kids. The food was good and the milkshakes were class!

15/06/2025: I felt happy after breakfast we got here. Tea was perfect. Enjoyed to look at all wall arts - movie posters from 30yrs ago. Staff was excellent. The place was full inside: lots families and lots single customers means people loves coming here. 10/10 definitely will come regularly. Very full after full Irish breakfast. We had a white toasts too which were perfectly crispy.

15/07/2025: A pannei and chips 12 euro is absolutely ridiculous and was nothing special a sandwich and a few chips as dear as a dinner how does that make any sense wouldn't return didn't like the girl looking after us and too expensive for what it was

23/06/2025: Stopped in for a few drinks to watch a match recently, had the sherry trifle, was fantastic and the service from Janet was fantastic also, a great experience overall!

15/06/2025: It's good place to buy last minute gifts for celebrations and wonderful selection of cookies/cakes of any kind as well for serious birthday or communion. We love traditional cakes I see there like chocolate fudge birthday cake and apple tart. We bought an Achill Island Sea Salt there too. Lots selection of sets of fancy glasses for gifts. I noticed a wee steel milk bootle I want next time. And big selection of fancy teapots. There is a special selection of fresh bread, and sometimes we gor lucky getting the bread still warm. Bread is sold out quickly usually as it's really good, my favourite is porrige bread and tomato/olive bread-last time I got this one I ate it in the car beside as it was unreal good.

11/06/2025: I really like going to this place with my friends and very calm outside area with the heaters are very nice food is good I just don’t really like the pricing sometimes it can be expensive but overall it’s good 😁

18/05/2025: Great coffee, fantastic healthy food, wonderful staff. The atmosphere is cozy and nice, certainly my absolute favorite coffee shop in Cavan.
