The best restaurants in Cork

26/07/2026: We had an early booking on a Friday evening. Our waitress Grace was outstanding, she talked us through the menu and wines and her recommendations were sublime. . Great to be able to see the kitchen staff do their thing at close quarters. Absolutely stunning evening, I would recommend the restaurant without hesitation

24/07/2026: Where do i begin. First of all- oysters 🦪 are my favourite food of all time. Of ALL time. I saw they serve them when I pre- checked out the menu,and was gutted to find when I got there they they were sold out.. but… BUT .. the had an oyster pâté so I ordered that, and believe you me, it blew the back of my head right off. The most amazing, outstanding mouthful of food I have ever experienced. Everything I ate was supreme. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, the staff were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, and spent time chatting to us, explaining everything, and I left with a big smile on my face and woke up the next morning dreaming of the food and eager to return. The only negative is that there is only 1 toilet but it’s a small restaurant. Cannot recommend highly enough. Book NOW because it might be a few weeks before you get the day/ time you desire. Well done to all at Goldies you should be so proud of yourselves xxxxxxxx

20/08/2026: Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff and excellent service. I liked the design choices of the restaurant. The food was tasty but I recommend getting a couple starters and a dessert since the main meals and quite small. There are lots of gluten free options but nothing is guaranteed gluten free as everything is cooked in the same kitchen.

17/08/2026: Very good option for lunch. Light menu but tasty dishes. We ordered chicken, muhammara and hummus that we liked a lot with their thin bread. Also their in house draft beer was tasty. Ali helped us a lot on our selections and we had very good chat with him about city and other places that we can visit.

27/07/2026: Such a delicious pretty place with amazing service and the gorgeous art on the walls changes every 6 weeks! The cheesecake was delicious and the coffee too.

23/07/2026: We came across The Hideout Cafe during our trip to Cork and am so glad we did! The cafe was so lovely with such a nice atmosphere, not to mention the absolutely lovely staff. The biggest bonus is that it’s a lovely dog friendly spot, we brought along our chihuahua who enjoyed some treats given by the staff. It really is such a lovely little spot.

13/05/2026: Overall it was good and was surprised to find the restaurant packed at 530pm. The smoked goat cheese was delicious, punchy smoked goat cheese taste paired surprisingly well with a coconut polenta. The next highlight was the lamb rump - really grill well with such a difficult cut and quality of the lamb was good. I think the let down for me was the ribeye - it wasn’t bad but it’s not exceptionally good and the butter that was torched at the top didn’t do much of the trick.

02/08/2026: Had dinner here last night. The food was lovely and the service was really good as well. We had the salmon and chicken and everyone enjoyed their meal. Very chilled atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.

23/05/2026: Second time here — this time for lunch — and it definitely didn’t disappoint. From the welcome to the service and all the way through to the bill, everything was spot on. Had a really great time again and we’ll definitely be back. Plus, the food is amazing!

22/08/2026: Service is always amazing, as soon as you walk in the door you're greeted! Coffee is wonderful and reasonably priced. Outdoor seating is perfect right along the Lee and indoors its peaceful with nice decor. Good place to go to catch up with friends or hide and read alone!

15/05/2026: This restaurant was such a beautiful surprise. It has a gourmet vegetarian concept, but the atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, elegant, warm, and romantic at the same time. — the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. The tasting menu with was delicious, creative, and perfectly balanced. You can really feel the passion and attention behind every plate. It wasn’t just dinner, it was a true culinary experience that we would absolutely repeat and recommend to everyone. The staff looked after our table and took very good care of us from beginning till the ened. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and a memorable evening overall.

29/07/2026: Fantastic brunch with my boys (8&9). They had the kids pancakes and the kids cheeseburger (great size). Food was lovely. Decor is a bit disappointing. Not very cosy or inviting, bit mismatched. Service was good, not overly friendly. Had to ask twice for ketchup. But will be back for the food.

25/08/2026: Finally got to get a sandwich here. Finally got a little corner table inside. On previous visits I've been relegated to standing outside or standing in the way of others, but you can see why it's popular. Everyone who worked here had a good vibe about them, the taplist is vast and caters for all, and the food was coming out like a well oiled machine - efficient, hearty, consistent. I'd come back and stand, happily. But I'm glad I got to get in early and see it step into gear as Sunday got off the ground. Will remain one of my favourites in Cork.

11/07/2026: Family dinner 5 adults 2 children Food choices not suitable for summer dining - chowder and its 29 degrees outside Some good choices but limited . Everybody felt meal was only mediocre for such a prestigious hotel. We were very disappointed as we were celebrating a family members special birthday. Not returning
