Even with the unusual heat today, the management and team made sure the café remained comfortable by carefully adjusting the air conditioning system to maintain a pleasant indoor temperature. This thoughtful attention to customer comfort is greatly appreciated.

Service is now a lot better than it used to be. We have been here a lot recently.
The most recent three visits were so much better than the previous three times, over a year ago.

The food was absolutely outstanding, everything was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great attention to detail. The service was equally excellent, very friendly, attentive, and professional. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Looking forward to coming back again!

30/06/2026: We visited this restaurant and had a great experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a lovely atmosphere. The only downside was that the menu selection was a bit limited, and we would have liked to see more options. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back again!

01/05/2026: Delicious fresh food, nice choice for lunch. I’m usually in a hurry so it’s a place I can get served quickly. They have a good choice of light food which is great if you’ve to go back to work after as I do! Love the antique furniture and atmosphere.

The food used to be a lot better here. Definitely not passing 4.5% discount on to customers since 1 July.
The quality of the beef in the burgers has dropped a lot. So much that we stopped eating here and go to Cork to eat out instead most of the time.
If the quality of food got better I would go back here again as the hotel bar is good.
Don't bother with tje carvery though unless you want to be transported back to school dinners.

The food sometimes is nice and other times can be a little overcooked. The prices sometimes vary - the same meal can cost you €4 more one day than another - not sure why this is?
I usually get myself an omelette and chips and it's normally nice. However, it is cooked on the one hot plate with all the other food, so the taste is heavily influenced by what is cooked previously (usually bacon).
So my overall verdict is this, the staff, owner etc are lovely. However, the food isn't anything special and in recent months, I have noticed a change in service and quality. If you are looking for deli food to go, it's a good option. For anything else, it is hit and miss.

24/06/2026: I've been going to eskimos for over 2 years it's my go to place honestly if I could give 10 stars I would, no matter what i order or request they always find a way to make it exactly, the staff are beyond amazing.
