The best restaurants in Dublin

26/03/2026: Another place that seems to want to redefine what a carbonara is. Pancetta instead of guanciale. Parmesan instead of pecorino. Cream for no reason whatsoever. If I order a gin + tonic do you make it with vodka? Just call it something else guys. It's not carbonara.

10/03/2026: I have been a frequent customer here and at home over the last 10 years. The owner has allways been a gentleman and customer focused. However, the restaurant has had a manageress for a while and she really has no manners or appreciation for her customers, her poor attitude naturally rubs off the other floor staff, as I like many others I have noticed the drop in the good standards. My most recent experience and last straw for me was when I ordered a delivery, after waiting for 1.5hrs and no sign off the food, I phoned and cancelled my order. I spoke with the manageress. Well, I was spoken to like a child because I cancelled my order! The manageress really need to learn manners and show some respect for your customers whether they are long established or not. Moreover, when you don't deliver in the proposed time, you do not blame the customer for cancelling food that is 45mins late! More IMPORTANTLY, you don't charge the customer for a cancelled order!!! I don't believe the above would have happened had the owner been involved, but again, he was allways customer focused which is paramount to business success in the service industry.

11/04/2026: This is a great restaurant in one of the oldest buildings in Glasnevin village. The food is great. They have a very good wine, cocktail and craft beer selection. Staff are lovely. Great to be beside an old radiator on a cold day. Handily located between two bus stops for going north or south. Never had a bad dining experience.

07/04/2026: Food was fresh and delicious and there were a couple of vegetarian options! The place was a bit crowded at lunchtime but, fortunately, the weather permitted we sit outside so the wait was not too bad. The atmosphere inside is also quite cozy and everyone was happy with the options.

03/05/2026: We are staying next door we stopped in after just arriving In town. This is authentic of an irish pub that you can get. The owner management and waitstaff was all excellent. We enjoyed combination platter. Ask for tony " tall dark and handsome"

27/03/2026: Best pub on the planet, great staff and super service a wonderful local pub. Friendly atmosphere, great conversation and the best pub for a person on their own or with a crowd.

10/04/2026: Great Guinness, handy spot for pre or post match drinks on a trip to Tolka Park.

22/01/2026: Was refused service as soon as my friend and I went up to the counter. This was around 5pm on a Thursday there was about three people in the whole place. The bartender (not the manager John who i know) said “Regulars only” and told us to leave. Ive never heard the likes before in my life. We were well dressed, completely sober, and had just walked all the way from university in the rain to watch the racing. Very disappointing.

24/04/2026: Had a late lunch here yesterday with my two daughters. One had chicken and chorizo paella and we had some tapas. The gambas pil pil was swimming in some ghastly red oil couldn't eat the prawns which tasted very strange, patas bravas and meatballs reheated. All fairly ghastly. Staff pleasant enough didn't ask if everything was ok they knew it wasn't.

24/04/2026: 5 stars every time.Food is great, great selection, staff are wonderful, you can book ahead. They are lucky to have a wonderful mangeress in Ashling. A must if you like Tapas.

12/11/2025: Came into the city to specifically try this place . I would describe it as average . The food was ok , portions not huge , Weather its value for money im not sure. The description of fresh pork and fresh beef is a bit of a stretch. Its tasty but id be surprised if its cooked fresh every day , that said i could be wrong . No real complaints , if you were walking past it might be worth popping in but for me its not a return destination . The Bakery part of the establishment doesnt overly impress by presentation or impression of freshly baked goods but the blueberry muffin we bought was delicious and extremely fresh tasting , if i thought the other produce tasted as good i would have bought more, its mostly in pre packed in bags so it didnt look appealing but the muffin was excellent. We were the only ones there so wouldn't judge the atmosphere . The welcome was functional rather than friendly. Asked to take some of the meal home as we didn't finish it , provided with a plastic bag . As it contained a lot of sauce I understand a box wouldn't work but in our local Japanese restaurant charging similar prices for far superior food , they put it in a plastic bowl . I think there is a gap in the market for Filipino restaurant/ diner but this place at its current location , charging what it does , I don't think will last . They'd be better off selling it as fast food out of a mobile unit at pop up locations .

17/01/2026: Ordered online, simply put , ABYSMAL. Overpriced, under seasoned, bad aftertaste. In short if your looking to waste your money and run the risk of food poisoning this is for you. Otherwise stay clear.

26/09/2025: This is a lovely cafe. Very clean and well looked after with excellent service. Great coffee, but also great food, which is a rare combination, as most cafes offer you ham & cheese and BLT. Food here is very nicely cooked and presented. Highly recommended.

18/09/2025: Excellent service and variety of food is very good and tasty. However the Prices have been significantly Increased and regretfully our 10 year relationship has been terminated as a result.. Pity!

16/03/2026: Nice food, reasonable prices. Friendly staff. I asked for spicy and it sort of just tasted like it usually did, but how and ever, still tasted good. 😂 *edit* Chicken balls seem to have halved in size. Price stayed the same though! Thought I got a 4 portion rather than 8 by mistake because of the bag size, opened it up and they're just.... Small. 😬 More like chicken nuggets than chicken balls tbh. 😂

17/03/2026: This place was fantastic, perfect for the night before Saint Patrick's day parade. Great fun to sing along to classic tunes you love. Everyone is dancing and energy is high.

31/08/2025: Good pizza, but very expensive - 8 or 9 euros for a small reheated slice of pizza is a lot.Sitting on stool, eating with hands.However, it's in line with the unjustified prices in Temple Bar. I will not go back.

29/08/2025: We were hungry after the bars and this place was open. So we figured, why not? It was actually good food! The pizza is on a Chibatta type dough with really great toppings. Give it a try.
