Sushi Sakai
Dublin
26/10/2025: So...to begin with that i went for this so called sushi restaurant by the reviews on Google maps that was saying it's a 4.5 stars one.
I went with my girlfriend as she likes sushi very much .
To begin with that that we were seated at 20:55 ,ordered in next 5 minutes. The food was served by 21:40,for sushi and the palce wasn't crowded. The waitress didn't bring any ustensile nor plates, as we need to eat with the hands,so I went and asked them to bring some, not even soy sauce on the table. And about the food, it was the most disgusting sushi that I had in Dublin, and we experienced some sushi restaurant ls around Dublin area. The rice was different form all other places, the taste of them was awful and all the experience. At my first prices I wanted to return the food, but they didn't agree.
Avoid eating in this place by all means.
I don't want that someone to go through what we went.
Kind regards
25/10/2025: The sushi was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour — definitely some of the best I’ve had in Dublin. The atmosphere is calm and elegant, perfect for enjoying a nice meal with friends or a date night. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

Xian Street Food
Dublin
14/05/2026: I dream of coming back to eat here. It's delicious.
14/05/2026: Very popular oriental fast food restaurant.
It was packed on weekend afternoon with mostly young crowd and also many take away collections.
We picked few dishes. Not super cheap but the proportions were decent size.
The food was OK.

Okra Green
Dublin
25/07/2025: Sag aloo is amazing. Peshwari naan is great but much sweeter than it usually is, so depends on your preference. Dal tarka is a bit spicy for me but the flavour is really nice.

Il Valentino Bakery & Cafe
Dublin
20/11/2025: Tainá and staff was very nice and very professional with us, and her smile and enthusiasm was great. We would love to go back with family and friends and have another cake.
16/11/2025: Continues to disappoint with the worst flat white. Been a loyal and constant customer of this place for about a year. While the pastries are lovely, and the staff is friendly, the flat whites I’ve been getting here became just terrible and not up to any standard. Not worth paying 4EUR for a coffee with milk that I can make myself at home. Cant give no more than one star and will look for another place.

Filipino Bakery and Café
Dublin
12/11/2025: Came into the city to specifically try this place . I would describe it as average . The food was ok , portions not huge , Weather its value for money im not sure. The description of fresh pork and fresh beef is a bit of a stretch. Its tasty but id be surprised if its cooked fresh every day , that said i could be wrong . No real complaints , if you were walking past it might be worth popping in but for me its not a return destination . The Bakery part of the establishment doesnt overly impress by presentation or impression of freshly baked goods but the blueberry muffin we bought was delicious and extremely fresh tasting , if i thought the other produce tasted as good i would have bought more, its mostly in pre packed in bags so it didnt look appealing but the muffin was excellent. We were the only ones there so wouldn't judge the atmosphere . The welcome was functional rather than friendly. Asked to take some of the meal home as we didn't finish it , provided with a plastic bag . As it contained a lot of sauce I understand a box wouldn't work but in our local Japanese restaurant charging similar prices for far superior food , they put it in a plastic bowl . I think there is a gap in the market for Filipino restaurant/ diner but this place at its current location , charging what it does , I don't think will last . They'd be better off selling it as fast food out of a mobile unit at pop up locations .
04/11/2025: Great food and nice staff, very hard to find a place like this in Dublin

The Lord Edward
Dublin
14/12/2025: Old, cosy traditional pub, with genuinely nice staff (shout out to young dark haired bartender who had the patience of a saint). Great buzzy atmosphere. Will call again!
05/12/2025: The Lord Edward made it onto my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list thanks to a bartender at the Guinness Gravity Bar who swore it had a great pint of Guinness and insisted we check out the upstairs. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the upstairs was closed. Still no idea what is up there or why it was recommended.
This is a small pub with a unique bar layout and plenty of age behind it. And by “age,” I mean it has not seen a remodel in a very, very long time. The men’s room is basically just a wall with a drain on the floor (which I found highly amusing), and according to the bartenders, the women’s bathroom used to be a broom closet that was converted once women were allowed into pubs. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how much this place has changed over the years. Very authentic and cool in its own way.
We stopped in late on a Thursday night. The crowd was wrapping up, so we managed two rounds before last call. The bartenders signal last call the old school way, by flicking the lights on and off. Gave me a good laugh.
As for the pint… it was okay. One bartender knew what he was doing and poured a proper Guinness. The other poured it the way Americans do when they have no idea what they are doing, and he did it consistently.
I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Lord Edward and got plenty of laughs out of the whole experience. The company was great and the pub absolutely has character. Now, if we can only get that one bartender on board with pouring Guinness correctly…
We still want to know what is upstairs.
