Insomnia Coffee Company - Gardiner St
Dublin
09/12/2025: Wonderful! My phone battery was dead and they helped me, they saved me actually, because it's difficult for a Brazilian without a cell phone here at the beginning. Thank you so much. The chicken and cheese sandwich was delicious ❤️
10/11/2025: Insomnia is one of Ireland’s most recognisable coffee chains, and for good reason. Whether you’re in Dublin, Cork, or Galway, you’ll likely find one nearby serving consistently good coffee and a friendly atmosphere. Their espresso-based drinks—especially flat whites and cappuccinos—are smooth, rich, and well-balanced, often matching or surpassing what you’d get from smaller independents. The hot chocolate and seasonal drinks (like the winter spiced latte) are a treat, especially on chilly Irish days.

Costa
Dublin
24/12/2025: The staff that working in are noisy, feel like you are in Turkish bazaar, better on takeaway than sitting in
05/11/2025: The newly refurbished Costa is very nice. Staff are great too. Its now also a Drive-Thru. Can be a tad chilly inside, possibly due to the drive thru open Hatch.

Lisboa Pastelaria
Dublin
02/11/2025: Food was pretty decent and a pretty reasonable price. My sandwich only had a single slice of bacon in it but was delicious nonetheless. Newt was over the moon with his beef sandwich and we both enjoyed the pastel de nata, newt was very happy to have a vegan option and I enjoyed my raspberry one. I think my iced chai came from a powder but then I can’t expect a Portuguese cafe to be the experts in chai can I?
31/10/2025: Good not great. I got a chai, the chorizo and cheese sandwich and a chocolate pastel de nata all for €16. Not bad for the price. However the sandwich size was small and could’ve been filled with more chorizo, and the chai was much too milky. The pastel de nata was good! I liked the chocolate touch. The sides were a wee bit burnt, but that’s okay, it was nothing major. Atmosphere was cute and nice for a quick lil solo coffee date, glad I went, but would probably only go back for a pastry

Note Dublin
Dublin
23/07/2025: I have been going to this restaurant/wine bar since it opened. It has gotten better and better. The menu is always exceptional and ever changing. Its perfect for foodies, but the menu isn't pretentious and has so many gastro delights, it really is for everyone. The Staff are so nice and the music is perfect. However, I do agree with the other reviews that the pricing is a little higher, particularly on the entrees.
14/07/2025: The food is excellent. This restaurant is worthy of a gourmet restaurant. The waitresses were very patient despite our hesitations. While in Dublin, I hope to return to this establishment one day. Delicious desserts!!!

Mocha Beans Pearse Stn
Dublin
18/10/2025: Delicious fresh coffee and very delightful service!
10/06/2025: I’ve no idea why there isn’t reviews calling out the extortionate prices of a coffee from Mocha Beans?!
I’m a regular Pearse commuter and sometimes give in to a coffee from here knowing… a small cappuccino with almond milk costs €5.20.
That’s insane.
Alt/ non dairy milk is either cheaper or soya milk is at least free in most coffee shops (albeit soya milk is pure gick). They charge 60c extra for all non-dairy milk.
Base price for their smallest cappuccino is €4.60 which is still mad but base price in Dublin unfortunately.
Think about it- 60c for coffee with non-dairy milk. Say a carton of non dairy milk would cover 15 coffees. That would round up the cost of one of their cartons of almond/ soya/ oat/ coconut milk to €9,
A carton of these mills costs just over €3 and you can get cheaper with generic brands (which I’m sure mocha beans do).
The mark up just for having non- dairy is robbery.
I dunno if they count on people ignoring price as people on platform are often tired after a days work or tired first thing in morning after train but it’s crazy.
The coffee is decent but not near other known vendors who get away with a coffee for over a fiver.
Avoid avoid avoid no matter how much your commuter caffeine craving tells you otherwise
