Kane/McCartney's SuperValu Talbot Street
Dublin
09/03/2026: Really handy shop in a great central location. I've been in a few times and it's always been clean, well stocked, and easy to get around. For a city centre supermarket, the selection is actually very good, especially for fresh food and quick lunch options. Staff have been friendly whenever I needed help, and the whole place feels modern and well run. Definitely one of the better shops in the area
31/01/2026: The supermarket is very small, and I've always reached it on foot, a pleasant stroll. However, I've never done a "big" purchase there because the selection isn't very varied and the prices aren't among the lowest in the area. However, unlike other supermarkets, I found a large pack of Barry's Tea to take home as a souvenir here. The advantage is that I didn't have to wait in line at the checkout, and payment was very quick.
Friendly staff at the entrance and exit of the store.

Salamanca
Dublin
15/03/2026: Update: 15/03/2026
A couple of years since I was last in Salamanca and unfortunately the only thing that has changed is the date. Also, ditch the mussels or change the sauce.
2024: Had great memories of this restaurant, its tapas were always fresh and full of flavour. Today it was like a faint echo of itself, similar menu items which, while they were ok, suffered in comparison to their predecessors.
14/03/2026: It's nice to see my city's name around the world. A good place to enjoy myself and feel a little closer to home. The meat and appetizers were delicious. The paella could be better.
Around €23 per person
(2024)
---+--- The second time wasn't as good as the first. Bread with sauces: only the tapenade was tasty, the romesco was terrible, and the mojo was nowhere near as good as the Canarian one. Chicken in Ximenez sauce was more garlicky than anything else. Octopus was mediocre and a bit chewy. Stuffed peppers were tasty and plentiful. Ham croquettes could be better, but they were good. Seafood paella was terrible; the use of canned goods gave it a vinegary taste. The black pudding was okay. Considering it was tapas, the whole feast cost €100. I hope they improve in terms of quality and flavor next time, as well as the price.

The Village Inn
Dublin
06/02/2026: Grand spot altogether. Staff were sound and on the ball, food was savage with good portions, and everything ran smooth. Toilets spotless, seating comfortable, and the atmosphere was great once it got going.
18/11/2025: Grand spot, was at niece's 21s
Plenty of seating.. lighting was poor, a lot of missing bulbs in area. . Toilets clean, place was cold, as door for smoking area. Food service was very good, good selection of food on platters. Also bar staff good and friendly, just a better selection of non alcoholic beverages would have been good....
Overall good spot... Second time been at this location. Downstairs before and good food, service ect .... Well done guys. Just parking could be looked at... As we were coming from outside area .. n required car ect .

Millers Pizza
Dublin
22/04/2026: Visited this restaurant in June 2021 on a visit to Dublin and had a lovely meal with probably the best cheesy Garlic bread I have ever had.fast forward to today on another visit to Dublin when we walked to the restaurant looking forward to most of the same only to be told the kitchen was closed….. it was 8.44pm….. apparently they closed at 8.30pm. This restaurant has very little online presence other than Google which advised it closed at 9. Very disappointing to not be accommodated.
05/04/2026: The pizzas are delicious. I loved the sauce. Some authentic italian and of course a bit of twist with the speciality pizzas. The host was super friendly. The ambiance is quite beautiful.

Beshoff Bros Mespil Road
Dublin
18/01/2026: At last GF fish and tasty chips, it really is that easy to provide a GF variety. 👏🏻
10/01/2026: Lol - just shy of €5 for a bag of chips. Nowhere else is Dublin has hit this. Shocking. Terrible. Unimaginable. Beyond the actual Pale. Get the hell out of our lives. This is not ok.

Sushi Sakai
Dublin
26/10/2025: So...to begin with that i went for this so called sushi restaurant by the reviews on Google maps that was saying it's a 4.5 stars one.
I went with my girlfriend as she likes sushi very much .
To begin with that that we were seated at 20:55 ,ordered in next 5 minutes. The food was served by 21:40,for sushi and the palce wasn't crowded. The waitress didn't bring any ustensile nor plates, as we need to eat with the hands,so I went and asked them to bring some, not even soy sauce on the table. And about the food, it was the most disgusting sushi that I had in Dublin, and we experienced some sushi restaurant ls around Dublin area. The rice was different form all other places, the taste of them was awful and all the experience. At my first prices I wanted to return the food, but they didn't agree.
Avoid eating in this place by all means.
I don't want that someone to go through what we went.
Kind regards
25/10/2025: The sushi was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour — definitely some of the best I’ve had in Dublin. The atmosphere is calm and elegant, perfect for enjoying a nice meal with friends or a date night. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

Crowes
Dublin
14/03/2026: Best place to go for the Rugby.
13/03/2026: I go to the Crowes pub regularly for the past 10 years
, when Leinster rugby plays at RDS or Aviva,
and when Ireland rugby plays at Aviva.
The bar men are friendly and sound as a bell. I always take pints of Guinness or Smithwicks.

Wishing Well
Dublin
18/02/2026: Good food and very friendly staff. Kathy
24/01/2026: Nice food, little veg (even though explicitly stated on the menu). The chips could have been fried slightly longer. Portion size is decent, but men will probably need to order a side with it. Atmosphere is good, sports were visible from all booths. Service was friendly. Good traditional pub.
