The best restaurants in Dublin

11/07/2026: If I could give 10 stars I would! I’m autistic, and this place is very quiet, the staff are clear with instructions. I’ve also got a physical disability, but no assistive device so you wouldn’t guess it. It was so affirming to see that they’ve got a sign up by the restrooms saying “not all disabilities are visible.” Staff here are lovely, they got me seated within minutes and explained everything clearly. They had me order at the counter (allergen policy) so that they could log that it needed to be gluten free. When my food came out, it had a flag in it labelling it as gluten free, and the staff checked up on me a few times to make sure I had everything I needed. Absolutely coming again! 10/10 experience

07/07/2026: Apple Pay wasn't supported during table orders at the restaurant, which is quite a drawback. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly.

29/06/2026: Hands down the best Chinese in south Dublin, tastes different than all the others, it looks different and even comes in different little boxes which just proves they work on their own initiative, the flavours are unbeatable. The house curry has sliced roasted pork and the young chow rice is the nicest I’ve ever tasted, the shredded chicken contains lots of chicken not just streaks of batter. Highly recommend! ✨

22/06/2026: Order: chicken chop suey with fried noodles, no celery. Portion size: genuinely generous. Larger than usual for this type of takeaway and enough to leave a good impression. 9/10 Taste: good overall. Ingredients were cooked properly, with no raw onion or hard carrot, which is always a positive. There was a good amount of chicken, and the dish was not oversalted. Solid flavour and well prepared. 8/10 Service / presentation: simple takeaway packaging. No cutlery and no napkin included, which is a weakness. However, when I asked for chopsticks, they gave them to me immediately and without any issue, which I appreciated. 7/10 Price: fair for the amount of food received. Good value for money. 9/10 Overall: 8/10. Very good portion size, properly cooked ingredients, enough meat, balanced seasoning and fair pricing. Definitely recommended.

29/03/2026: I live close and I shop here when I can, I am italian and I particularly shop here cause they have good italian products straight from Italy, they have De Checco pasta brand, which is very good and pistacchio cream, tomato sauce straight from italy, as well as other toppings and organic honey from an Irish honey farm of the area!🤩 Also, they make delicious homemade cakes and muffins, which are a must try! Staff is very kind and friendly! :)

15/07/2026: We had a great experience! My husband and I ordered two Bento options, which arrived quickly, were well-prepared, and included soup as a starter. To our surprise, they even came with a bottle of house water, which was wonderful – we didn't even need to ask. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Asian food; we'll be back! 👏👏

12/07/2026: One of my favourite places for Asian food. The food is always fresh and delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. It’s never too crowded, which makes it even more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

22/11/2025: Just an update in Nov 25. The food is better than ever. Just had one of the best hot and sour soups, packed with meat and prawns and deliciously spicy. The spice bag had delicious and large chicken pieces with very good chips. Breast of Chicken curry, fried rice and spare ribs all very good. Top class. Very tasty, authentic and consistent Chinese restaurant. Excellent for take away, top marks from me.

09/11/2025: delivery time needs to be set up earlier, we orderd at 4:55 as soon as they open it, all we got was chicken balls chips and 3 in 1 the food didnt arrive until 6:25, when we called at 6:05 the lady said its on the road and wont be long, we then called at 6:18, the lady once again said its on the way, lo and behold it did not arrive until 6:25. Either hire more drivers or open the times earlier

09/05/2026: Very nice food at very affordable prices. The staff were very friendly and polite. I ordered shrimp gra pao (probably wrong spelling). It was delicious, spicy and went down great with a beer! I can't see it on the menu photos so it must be a newer addition, but definitely recommended!

28/04/2026: The food and drinks were excellent, but the wine list was hidden and needed to be requested separately from the server.

05/07/2026: This happened 3rd time, orignal chicken in drive tru is always burnt. This not acceptable, this was not even almost closing time still had 1 hour to closing. I gave again 2 chances, bought very expensive party pack. Fries are literally cold not even room temperature. 10 piece chicken all are burnt. This is not acceptable, very dissatisfied.

04/07/2026: This is a review of 2 separate visits, 6 years apart. In 2020, Alfie's served creme brulee. It is still the absolute best I ever had. It somehow had like a 1 inch sugar crust but the rest of the custard was still creamy and smooth and cool. As for the rest, food is above average, drinks are good and well priced, and the vibe is very chill. Even 6 years apart, aside from no more creme brulee, Alfie's is still a hit with my wife and myself.

01/07/2026: We came to dinner the fajitas were good, but the waiters could be more attentive. We had to ask for napkins two or three times.

20/10/2025: Glad to see it open again after a very quick patch up (paint on outdoor tables still sticky as they didn't seal it) and not much changed inside, but food not up to the mark (tasteless salad, which was kindly replaced and Cuban sandwich in name only). Would definitely go back for a pint outside, but still feels outdated on the inside. Much better friendly service than under last owner. Updated review (October 25): Thanks for your response below! We went back and new menu is great. Best lobster roll I ever had!

05/04/2026: Fast delivery, Food used to be really tasty. but the last couple of times it hasn’t been great, you can tell the food is fresh but there’s no flavour to it, the likes of the curry sauce, spice bags, 3 and 4 in 1’s have little to no flavour. Food needs some work. Would be sad to see this place go down hill over very fixable issues.

12/10/2025: Didn’t get a chance to try food but the cocktails were very yummy. The atmosphere was really good vibes. Walked in and somber was playing, ones of my favourite singers. The music is kinda loud but not too loud that you can’t talk. Good deals on cocktails 2 for 15 is good especially for actually good cocktails!! Had my birthday drinks here :)
