Little Forest
Dublin
07/06/2026: Had such a great evening there! The three of us all went for a set menu that was more than generous and left us stuffed, for a very reasonable price. Every dish was special and tasty, especially the starters, and also the pizzas and desserts. Nice service and a great atmosphere it's an instant favourite in Blackrock now.
Some people complaining about tap water being charged for, but actually, you do get filtered (much better tasting and I'd say, healthier) water, also sparkling, if you like, for 2 euros a person, and as much as you want. I drink quite a lot of water so I think this is a reasonable enough deal.
25/05/2026: Great spot! Really tasty food with lovely staff. Also very well priced.

Kari
Dublin
11/10/2025: This restaurant and its sister restaurant Konkan have fallen off a cliff in terms of quality but have raised prices. The lamb in my order was not shoulder or shank, it had a lower cut flavor which would have been fine if it had been cooked long enough, every pice of lamb had unrendered fat and cartilage.
20/06/2025: Delicious food at a good price. The prawns were amazing.
The service was stellar. I booked a table for dinner for my partners birthday, they played happy birthday (at a reasonable volume so as not to disturb other diners) & brought him a slice of delicious chocolate cake with candle and all. It was a lovely touch and a great end to the fantastic meal. I look forward to eating here again soon.

Lisboa Pastelaria
Dublin
02/11/2025: Food was pretty decent and a pretty reasonable price. My sandwich only had a single slice of bacon in it but was delicious nonetheless. Newt was over the moon with his beef sandwich and we both enjoyed the pastel de nata, newt was very happy to have a vegan option and I enjoyed my raspberry one. I think my iced chai came from a powder but then I can’t expect a Portuguese cafe to be the experts in chai can I?
31/10/2025: Good not great. I got a chai, the chorizo and cheese sandwich and a chocolate pastel de nata all for €16. Not bad for the price. However the sandwich size was small and could’ve been filled with more chorizo, and the chai was much too milky. The pastel de nata was good! I liked the chocolate touch. The sides were a wee bit burnt, but that’s okay, it was nothing major. Atmosphere was cute and nice for a quick lil solo coffee date, glad I went, but would probably only go back for a pastry

Spice Cove
Dublin
21/04/2026: Very tasty, nicely presented take away food.
01/01/2026: Food was tasty but very pricey for takeaway. There are less expensive places with equal quality in the area.2 mains with sides and 2 starters was almost €60.

Masala
Dublin
12/02/2026: Absolutely the best Indian TAKEAWAY Fresh ingredients. Perfect flavour. True Indian and also great for butter chicken lovers like me . Tried and tested over 5 years. The portions of popadoms are huge and come with dips. It’s the same price as anywhere but the quality across the menu is superb. I’ve travelled a long way home for this treat!! The food is SO DESERVING of the 5 stars!!!
Also the delivery chap is always very friendly and quick. Food piping hot .
10/02/2026: Great food and excellent service. I tried the lamb biryani and it was amazing, and their naan breads are absolutely outstanding. Very nice.

Costa
Dublin
20/05/2026: Very bad, waiting to use the toilet 🚽, toilet locked, no sign of out of order, after 10 minutes of waiting, knocking on the door no sign of anyone there, a staff told me first that it was open and then when I said it was locked and he said oh it's in very bad condition so make up whatever that means, I don't know!
12/04/2026: Busy coffee house in Malahide Industrial Park. Slow service and quality of cakes quite low for the price paid. Coffee is of reasonable standard.

Be Sweet Cafe
Dublin
20/09/2025: Cute little cafe! Colourful relaxing decor.
I had a delicious pumpkin spice latte! The cups are so pretty too!
19/09/2025: I went here totally by accident, I thought id give it a try as I saw they have gluten free options and pumpkin spice latte!!. The staff was so friendly, the service was outstanding and the decor was breathtaking. Nothing I have seen before. Its a small cozy hidden away cafe. May I also add they had a few options for gluten free, I got the brownie it was a bit dry but still good i enjoyed it either way (you can see the selection of gluten free options in the picture of the menu, the top shelf)
The price is also not too bad

Tolka House
Dublin
16/05/2026: Lucy and kitty made the first experience amazing experts in whiskey would highly
Recommend here without a doubt
07/05/2026: We popped in for dinner and a pint. The decor, vibe, ambiance, and feel do not match the food or service. I ordered the "pie of the day" (chicken and bacon with a side of mashed potatoes and roasted veg) and my husband the burger. At €20 a plate I was expecting something other than what appeared to be boiled and thickly cut chicken breast with a few bit of bacon in an overly salted cream sauce along with run of the mill mashed potatoes with small chunks of veg that were pan fried. It almost smacked of what you could get as a pre-made meal at Tesco. The burger was equally disappointing. Dry, overcooked (was never asked how it should be prepared), and the toppings were underwhelming. The chips that came with the burger were OK, but unremarkable and should have been cooked for at least another minute or two to crisp up the outside.
When I say the vibe didn't match the service, it boils down, quite a bit, to the service. The bartender would frequently mess with his hair showing his midriff. If you're going to present your establishment as a "cut above", I would expect a bit of decorum with proper attire. Our server (I didn't catch her name) had the personality of a rock and was cold (never mean, but definitely has the feeling she didn't really want to be there).
Maybe it's because it's the "low season" being early May, but come on! For €52 for 2 meals and 2 pints, surely you can do better. Also, what is up with the weird thumping noise that was vibrating the ceiling lights? Super annoying.

The HUB Café
Dublin
26/08/2025: Changed the menu, increased the prices. Once a great place to get normal sandwiches, not anymore sad...i had been loyal customer because of their blt's (bacon lettuce tomatoes not bell peppers and onions at leats i would have liked to be told it changed so I could ask without...)
19/05/2025: I’ve visited this café a couple of times. The atmosphere is generally nice and quiet, but unfortunately, one of the staff members (the male employee) comes across as quite unfriendly and lacking in warmth. A more welcoming and approachable attitude would really improve the customer experience. Small details like this can make a big difference. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration and leads to better service in the future.
I don’t know if he’s sleepy since it’s a morning or maybe he has some problems with work… please do something about that
