Greenville Deli (Rathmines)

Dublin
29/05/2026: I really like this place! 🤩 The sandwiches are great, and the bread is perfectly crispy. 🥪 The service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. ✨ My only minor issue was the coffee; it was a bit bitter ☕ keep in mind coffe os the reason we all go to a place and it isn't cheep either.
04/05/2026: Great coffee and sandwiches, always have seasonal specials. Staff were very welcoming and polite. Not cheap but worth the price for the quality. Recommend if near the area

Bison Bar

Dublin
29/04/2026: THE BEST! Booked due to the great reviews and suggestions, and wow - expectations were exceeded! Sharing platter for 2 was amazing, every meat was delicious and juicy. Sides were lovely too. Can’t thank the lovely server and kitchen staff for my partners birthday dessert - and the happy birthday song! Will return on our next visit for sure 🩷
27/04/2026: After visiting here i firmly believe those positive reviews are by those who have consumed copious amounts of alcohol so there observations and senses are greatly compromised. I visited Bison Bar recently, booking it purely because I had received a Press Up / Eclective voucher and saw it listed on their website. Having had consistently great experiences at other venues within that group, I trusted that this would be of a similar standard. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a staff member who was friendly, cheerful, and professional, which created a very positive first impression. However, the service that followed contrasted sharply with this. A different server, with short brown hair, took our order and approached the table with a blunt “What can I get you?” as her opening line, without any greeting. As it was our first time visiting, we had a few reasonable questions about portion sizes and menu options. Her responses were curt and dismissive, and she appeared visibly inconvenienced that she had to answer questions rather than simply take an order and move on. During the meal, I also observed behaviour that I found particularly unprofessional. After serving a nearby table, she removed an empty glass and, as she turned away and walked past us, I clearly saw her roll her eyes in apparent frustration at the customer’s request for another drink. It reinforced the impression that customers were being treated as a nuisance rather than being welcomed. Not long after, her demeanour shifted noticeably, becoming overly upbeat and chatty with other tables. This made me feel that she may have overheard me discussing her behaviour with my partner, or realised that I had seen what she had done. The food was the most disappointing aspect. The tacos were dry, with shells that seemed stale and cracked, and the fillings were lacking in quality. The meat dishes were heavily covered in overly sweet barbecue sauce, which felt like it was masking poor-quality ingredients. Even the sides, including the coleslaw, were unpalatable. We didn’t finish our meal and chose to leave despite still being hungry. Overall, this experience fell far below expectations, particularly given its association with a group known for higher standards. It’s not somewhere I would have chosen independently, and unfortunately it hasn’t lived up to the reputation that led us there in the first place.

Xian Street Food

Dublin
14/05/2026: I dream of coming back to eat here. It's delicious.
14/05/2026: Very popular oriental fast food restaurant. It was packed on weekend afternoon with mostly young crowd and also many take away collections. We picked few dishes. Not super cheap but the proportions were decent size. The food was OK.

Botanical Garden Bar

Dublin
10/08/2025: Thai chicken burger was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Music was quite loud but was turned down a notch on request. Smoking area could be improved.
25/06/2025: Came here for a private event following a wedding and it was simply fantastic! Great place that ended up accommodating 60+ people. Food was BBQ style and made to order. Drinks were reasonably priced for Dublin (can be quite pricey!) however had a great selection of lagers and spirits. Had live entertainment which was not overwhelming followed by opening up of a small dance floor. Definitely a great place for a small gathering!

Wilde & Green

Dublin
20/11/2025: Wilde and Green in Milltown is one of those places that seems to have been designed by someone with excellent taste and absolutely no interest in where you’re supposed to park your car. You arrive hungry, optimistic, and ready for lunch, only to find a small car park across the road that appears to operate on a first come, first serve, and good-luck-to-you system. There are, technically, two spaces outside, but they are about as attainable as front-row tickets to a sold-out gig. Once you manage to wedge your vehicle somewhere within the general postcode, however, things take a turn for the better. I went in with my uncle for an early lunch. He ordered the breakfast sandwich, I took the chicken sandwich, and both arrived pre-made but warmed up to a level that, against all odds, actually works. My uncle then demolished a scone with the enthusiasm of a man who has found his true calling. The coffees followed: he became an instant devotee of their cappuccinos, while I stuck with an americano that did exactly what it was supposed to do without making a fuss about it. The staff were sound, friendly, and helpful in the kind of effortless way that makes you forgive nearly anything. They’ve also got a gourmet range of bits you can take home, all of which look dangerously tempting, especially if you're the type who shouldn’t be trusted with a credit card while hungry. In the end, Wilde and Green is one of those spots that would be almost perfect if someone could simply magic twenty extra parking spaces into existence. But once you’re inside, with a warm sandwich, a good coffee, and the faint smell of baked goods calling your name, you forget the minor battle you had outside. Worth a visit. Just bring patience for the parking.
18/11/2025: Only outdoor dining and not serving breakfast despite being the board

Mannings Bakery

Dublin
27/05/2026: Just dropped in as hadn't been for a while, Americano, fruit scone and cream for less than 8 euro, great value and good vibe.
25/05/2026: My experience with this company was disappointing, primarily due to the poor communication and customer service throughout the ordering process. There was a clear language barrier during a telephone conversation. I asked a simple yes-or-no question, but instead of answering it directly, the staff member interrupted me and began explaining how to place an order, which was not what I had asked. By this point, there had already been more than 15 emails exchanged between us. I politely requested that the staff member read through the previous email correspondence so they could fully understand my enquiry and the responses I had already received. Unfortunately, this request was refused, and the conversation became defensive, leaving me with no option but to contact the shop directly. Even when calling the shop, it took a considerable amount of time for someone to answer. It was frustrating that the matter could not have been properly clarified through email beforehand. The quality of the email communication was also disappointing, with numerous spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors that came across as unprofessional. I had enquired about three different cakes because I was trying to decide which option would be most suitable, which is a perfectly reasonable question when placing an order. However, the response I received was difficult to understand and did not adequately answer my enquiry. On a positive note, the cake itself was beautifully presented and looked fantastic. However, I found the artificial cream filling tasted unusual and was not to my liking. When collecting the cake, I was also asked for a code or reference number, which I had not been informed I would need. Additionally, as a visitor from outside Ireland, I was unaware that an address and telephone number were required to make a reservation or order. This information could and should have been communicated more clearly by staff in advance. I am genuinely surprised that a business with over 60 years of experience communicates with customers in this manner. While the cake presentation was excellent, the overall customer service, communication, and ordering experience fell well below expectations. Had this not been for my child’s birthday, I would likely have taken my business elsewhere. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not use this company again.

Aprile Restaurant

Dublin
03/05/2026: Very nice meal, good pasta, pizza and bruschetta. Only downside was we booked for 515, arrived 523pm and were told we would need to give table back 645, fine no problem. At 625 just after receiving kids ice creams (still eating) and paying bill, we were told “we need the table back” not even a please or would you mind. Surprised, we said just a few minutes to finish ice creams and then reminded the waitress we were told 645 not 630. She walked off. There was nothing else said not even ok finish your ice creams. Left a bad taste unfortunately.
26/03/2026: Another place that seems to want to redefine what a carbonara is. Pancetta instead of guanciale. Parmesan instead of pecorino. Cream for no reason whatsoever. If I order a gin + tonic do you make it with vodka? Just call it something else guys. It's not carbonara.

Senbazuru Izakaya

Dublin
27/10/2025: One of the best seafood ramens I’ve had outside Japan
27/10/2025: The place is cozy and the attention is good. The Snbazuru Yakisoba was grate, the Original Tonkotsu Ramen was just fine. There is a lot of options in the menu, in general at a higher place that in the lunch menu. In general a good place to go.
