04/03/2025: Not my first visit...collected food and when I arrived home 5 minutes later the food was COLD. No reason for this. The mixed starter plater was terrible, everything from frozen pre made, no flavour and cold. The mains were really small each contained 4 small pieces of chicken per serving but the most disappointing was the flavour, non existent. The naan bread was wet and soggy.....It seems here in Ireland now we accept any old over priced rubbish as standard. Please don't ever feel it is not right to complain when its terrible service or food. You are spending your money and expect something better then this in return......

18/02/2025: Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante. Mi pareja y yo habíamos reservado para una cena un sábado. Tuvimos un mal presentimiento cuando entramos y vimos cuántas mesas vacías había, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que era un fin de semana de rugby. Mientras que nuestro servidor brasileño era encantador, la comida era sosa y carecía de sabor y condimento. Dejamos la mayoría de nuestras comidas en el plato. El encantador servidor preguntó si todo estaba bien con la comida. Expresé que estaba muy decepcionado, considerando las excelentes críticas que habíamos leído en línea. El servidor nos informó que el chef envió sus disculpas desde la cocina. Nos persuadieron a quedarnos y tomar cafés y postre. El precio de los cafés se descontó de la factura. Pagamos nuestra factura, dimos propina a nuestro servidor encantador y nos fuimos. Basta decir que no volveremos. Hacia adelante, haré búsquedas más profundas de revisiones fuera de línea.

02/06/2025: The food here is amazing. It’s the nicest chipper I have ever tasted. The chips arnt greasy. The chips are lovely and fluffy and the quality of the food is great. The whole family also think their chips are the nicest around. The menu has a great variety and they also do milkshakes. The food is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are generous. Lovely friendly staff and family owned. A great community.

17/01/2025: We just got a delivery from Mattasa .2 large beautiful flat Ray with chips n nuggets 😋 It was delicious thanks for lovely food 😋

12/05/2025: We had a wonderful stay at the Academy Plaza Hotel in Dublin. The hotel is spotless and very well maintained, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Breakfast was absolutely amazing each morning—plenty of delicious options to choose from. A special thanks to Uros, who was incredibly kind and attentive during breakfast service. He made our mornings even better with his warm hospitality. All of the staff were very polite and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

05/06/2025: Stopped in for desert after a meal in Bastible. Honestly, we should’ve just ate here instead. Service was quality, food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was electric. The tiramisu was to die for, and we’ll have to come back for their special chicken biryani soon! Best place to eat in Portobello, hands down!!

18/05/2025: Had dinner here while visiting Dublin. We really enjoyed the food. It was fresh and tasty. Best of all, everything was halal. Besides great tasting food, the service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to take care of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

10/06/2025: The staff here are excellent. We met a Romanian lady working today who provided truly outstanding customer service. She was incredibly friendly to both us and our children, making us feel very welcome. She’s a real asset to the establishment. She even gave our daughter an ice cream, which absolutely made her day!

02/06/2025: Very disappointed in my last visit on Sunday at how disorganized everything was. I sat down with my partner after and nobody came to take our order after 20 minutes so I headed to the middle bar where the barman was so overwhelmed trying to do table service whilst also trying serve It just wasn't manageable so I decided to leave. I completely understand that they were busy but the lack of organization just wasn't acceptable. It's a shame because I visit quite often but this really has left a sour taste in my mouth

22/05/2025: Got an almond croissant, very stale and also burnt on one side. Not impressed. To be honest Other pastries and delicacies looked good and staff friendly. If I hadn't driven away before i tasted it, i would have returned it..

27/05/2025: The service staff, almost all Spanish, by far the best thing about the hotel. The head cleaner was rude, and the breakfast room manager was also completely sour-faced, rude, unhelpful, very curt, and made no effort to understand Spanish people. The rooms were like any 2-star hotel in Spain. No air conditioning. Normal mattresses, no toppers, and an open wardrobe. The renovated bathroom had a step up to the room. No amenities, no comb, gel, and shampoo in a non-branded pump bottle. No refrigerator, and the bed was 1.35 meters wide. The location was unbeatable, but you pay for it with noise at night from street parties and creaking wooden stairs. The price was very expensive.

03/06/2025: Attended a work social evening. Area booked and normally the venue is perfect for this. On this occasion it was an awful experience. I have never come across a more difficult front of house. "Name hidden" had the completely wrong attitude, showed zero empathy for the occasion, and really impacted the entire evening in a negative way. Despite the manager on for the evening apologising on this person's behalf there was no recourse, no apology from the person. The attitude appeared to be enabled. I like the back page, it's a good spot, with good food and usually a good atmosphere. I'm leaving this review as customer experience with staff interactions can really damage a business. On this occasion I can only rate the service as zero stars.

01/06/2025: The karaoke room is great craic. Good pizzas too. A bit pricey but worth it!
