The best restaurants in Dublin

03/10/2026: The Ivy was nice enough, but honestly, nothing special for the price. The food was okay, but I felt it was very overpriced for what it was. Overall, it was an average experience, and I wouldn’t say it lived up to the hype. There are plenty of places where you could get a similar experience for a much more reasonable price.

29/09/2026: The food was excellent and I had a really good time, this was my second time going to The Ivy. It was my sisters Birthday and the waitress Jose Antonio was excellent with us.

19/10/2026: Our entire experience from start to finish was excellent. The service was great and the meal even better, props to the chef. My wife enjoyed our dining experience together on our honeymoon here.

22/07/2026: Ordered a 3 in 1 and the half spicebag for delivery. I was told the order would be 40 minutes, after about 50 minutes I decided to call up just to see if I would be waiting long, to which I was told two minutes the delivery driver is nearly at my house. Another three calls and 40 minutes my food arrived. I can expect delays with it being a busy Saturday but it doesn't help when every time I call I get told two more minutes. The food was great, a lot of flavour from the spicebag. Which I have found to be lacking from other takeaways I've ordered from recently. I would add that considering the spicebag is open on arrival, I think it will quickly go cold even within normal delivery time. The 3in1, also tasty, so overall happy with the quality of the food. My main issue is the wait time, which resulted in my spicebag being cold and the 3in1 solidified. I will certainly order from here again as the food was good and I want to give it another go. Just disappointed by being told multiple times two more minutes and ended up being 90 minutes until it arrived

18/09/2026: The kind of place to give S-holes a bad name... Money spent on the refit, which looks fine on the surface, was a total waste. Avoid at all costs if you like pints of stout. They employ staff that cannot pull them, serve them flat, dipped across the top, slopped up like swill. Worst imagineable. Plus, the place is infested with bar flies throughout every corner of lounge and bar, and they simply will get into your drinks. They're aiming at serving a full menú of food. Hard pass. Then the service. Good grief. If you politely send one single atrocious pint back, be prepared for vulgar barmaid to shout and swear at you in front of all present, effing and blinding at the top of her voice, then an equally foul-mouthed, aggressive wee baldy shortarsed barman to blame you for upsetting her and calling the pint she pulled 'perfect', because he's trying to get his midget end away with her later and has no interest in serving pints anyway, plus the manager not to care in the slightest. Staff even mutter swears at customers right in front of him, but he doesn't care, because, folks, it ain't the Ritz. Wil-low standards in every way imaginable. The very bottom of the barrel. Dregs. Scrubbersville. Population: you. Miss the old place. Really destroyed a great old pub with incompetency and ignorance of staff and management. The place exists on the custom of locals and its formerly good name, both of which are easily lost.

30/05/2026: Still sitting at the table, writing this review with a big smile on my face, the service was wonderful from beginning to end. The food? Oh my god, the food! My friend loved the ramen. And I loved my dumplings and my takoyaki. Delicious, rich in detail, a thousand out of ten! Millions! Trillions! 10/10

29/05/2026: I ordered takoyaki and their chicken gyoza.the takoyaki texture was abysmal, the octopus was extremely chewy and I couldn’t finish the box. The chicken gyoza on the other hand was quite nice with a crunchy exterior.

15/10/2026: The spicy pork stir-fry was delicious. The Jjamppong wasn't very good... It lacked any spiciness or smoky flavor, so I wouldn't recommend it. They were friendly, but the service was slow. They even forgot to ask for extra plates or napkins, so I had to go get them myself. It was just that kind of minor annoyance.

09/10/2026: The downstairs area is very nice.

05/10/2026: Typical coffee shop.Had the window hoggers taking up at least 6 seats on either side of shop as you walk in.Best part was there was only one person on each side sat there with their small coffee making use of free wi-fi.Might help if sone sort of time limit was put on these free loaders taking up prime position.Should give them tables near toilet freeing up these prime tables for groups of customers who actually spend some money.Apart from that staff were very good and place was tidy.

18/10/2026: Found this place for a late breakfast It’s a place you might not even notice, going inside, seems nice, few people already there. Server was nice, polite and friendly. Open kitchen so we were hoping for a fresh cooked breakfast. It was ok. I had small breakfast my husband had French toast with maple and streaky bacon. He’s bacon was cold, mine too, sausage was over cooked. Like I said it was ok, some clientele were….. “off”. Think it could be better, food fresher, it’s a shame.

02/10/2026: I love this place. Whenever we go to Dublin, we stop by their shop and eat at the restaurant upstairs. Since I've known the place for a while, I think they should improve the cleanliness and the restaurant's furnishings. We've also noticed that they now include the tip in the bill, which is a bit of a nuisance, as tipping is optional and based on the service received.

07/10/2026: God food, lovely spot to watch football.

01/10/2026: Very disappointing. I used to love this place, they had an amazing Caesar salad, and we went there without knowing they had changed the menu again. No more Caesar salad so I ordered the chicken burger, it was very bad. The bun had a funny smell, the chicken burger was very thin and greasy, the onion rings were soft and tasted old, and the chips were soft as well. €20 for this... My friend ordered a beef burrito and told me the meat was like rubber... Dreadful dinner, far too expensive. The only good thing was the service, efficient, with a smile.
