20/12/2025: nice chill place to sit and read with a coffee

01/12/2025: One of the only places I visited twice during my short stay in Dublin. Very friendly and cozy café. Nice service and quite tasty food. Had breakfast there twice. Both the sandwiches and the pancakes were very yummy!☺️ It is quite small though so only can accomodate groups up to like 5-6 people.

21/08/2025: This place was fantastic!! The show was fantastic and the food was good. You get a 3 course meal and a 2 hour show for $52. We also got a bottle of wine. Then a shot of Redbreast 12, with the people next to us.

20/08/2025: Thanks to Leslye who took such good care of us throughout the meal. She was wonderful, smiling and adorable. The show was perfect and great. I really recommend it.

26/11/2025: Got called boss, my friend was given a free cup of garlic sauce despite only bringing his own food from home. The owner also heated my friends food. Service was amazing, just like the food. 10/10

19/11/2025: Found this pub really great. Superb staff and staff apart from one member of staff. A younger blonde woman who was quite unhappy and rude a couple of times while serving me. Overall well worth a visit

17/11/2025: Good pub, would recommend for a quiet solo pint. Manager has gone very corporate lately. Like a 2010s DJ he used to be cool now he’s pandering to the masses. Do I like the guy? Yes I do. Am I happy with him at the moment? No I’m not. Am I the best looking guy in Rathgar? Yes I am.

31/08/2025: I ordered a takeaway from Veda on the evening of Saturday 2 August as I have done several times before. However I woke up twice later that night and was violently sick with food poisoning. I suspect the problem was the rice which was very dry when I received it and felt like it had been sitting around for a while. In any event I spent the next 2 days in bed which included missing a day off work. I emailed Veda on Sunday 3 August with no reply and then again on Tuesday 5 August - again no response. I called the restaurant on Friday 8 August and explained what had happened and was told I would receive a call back. In the absence of a call I phoned again on Wednesday 13 August and was again told I would be contacted. Finally I called again on Saturday 16 Augusta and spoke to the manager who told me he had spoken to the owners. The manager did not apologise for my food poisoning and indeed suggested it may not have been caused by Veda. I explained this could not have been the case as Veda was the only meal I had eaten in the 12 hours before I became ill. I had requested a refund of my meal which cost circa €32 and was offered a voucher for €20. This appears to be the standard offer which I note from the previous review submitted by Eimear Kelly. Unfortunately I will not be returning to Veda - partially due to the horrific food poisoning but also due to the very poor customer service I received after I was ill.

09/11/2025: We were so well looked after and had a fabulous tasting menu. Reasonably priced and tasty. The place is an absolute gem ✨️

26/10/2025: Fabulous flavours - each dish carefully put together. Tortilla made to order - we like ours a bit runny. There are two Spains… Delicious cod fritters and stuffed peppers, langostinos were plump, sweet and juicy. Great wine - nice atmosphere, it was warm and welcoming on a cold and windy night. We have very recently been to a well known tapas bar in the city centre that can be difficult to get a booking in. El celler is way ahead of it! We will be back soon! Thanks!
