29/01/2026: Incredible and wonderful. Near the National Stadium.
21/01/2026: Good times. A bit loud sometimes - but hey, it’s a pub.

Spencer Hotel

Dublin
05/03/2026: Lovely hotel with really nice staff. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The only downside was the cold shower I had to take in the morning because they had an issue with the hot water.

Courtneys, menu

Dublin
29/09/2025: Food was well cooked, well presented and came respectably quick. Staff were attentive, even when it was busy. The benches are very straight, so maybe some would get uncomfortable after an extended period - but food, service and atmosphere are well worth a visit

Porterhouse Central

Dublin
13/01/2026: The bouncer came across as very rude, sarcastic, and he swore at us. That should have been a red flag to leave immediately (his bad manner is a common occurrence judging from other reviews I have read here). You can probably see from his face how hostile this establishment is. Anyway, I go in and the drink was just awful 😱 I returned my pint of Moretti. It was genuinely the worst pint I ever had. It tasted so, so dirty. I have worked in bars and know for a fact the lines were just filthy. The bar staff had no issue taking it back after she taste tested it and looked equally as repulsed as I was. I appreciated her not making a fuss over it. We stuck to bottles after that. The seats were super uncomfortable, see pictures, they are homemade of beer barrels. Very uncomfortable to sit in I can attest. Furthermore!!! The fire alarm went off at least 5 times in the less than two hours I was here…. 😳 Needless to say I won’t be returning, no way 🙂‍↔️
08/01/2026: I have never been here but my son was and lost his wallet, we comtacted Lore, who had been given it and posted it back to him saving him replacing everything, thanks so much Lore

Chopped

Dublin
18/09/2025: Good place to have a salad. Something different to the majority of restaurants and pubs.
09/09/2025: The food is good and healthy, BUT EVERYTHING IS DISPOSABLE! The plates, the cutlery, the glasses… where's the sustainability? The amount of packaging that could be saved every day.

Deja brew cafe

Dublin
02/10/2025: Deja Brew has really stepped up their game! The açaí bowls have improved immensely — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. The coffee is always spot on and consistent, which keeps me coming back. Staff are super friendly, and they even gave my dog Lola a little cup of cream that kept her busy while I enjoyed my bowl. A great local café with great vibes!
27/07/2025: Beautiful capuchino! Thank you!

Camden

Dublin
15/02/2026: Booked for 6 people to celebrate a birthday. It was a short notice booking and valentine's day, so we were happy to secure a table. Looked at the website and the menu shown was good. Lots of choice and a casual burgers, BBQ, fries type of offering. I was looking forward to a vegan burger which sounded really nice (I'm not vegetarian or vegan). We arrived and were shown to a table in the covered outdoor smoking area. Not delighted with being in a smoking area but we were a short notice booking so not to worried about it. It was cold. The heater above us didn't really help so coats were kept on. Again, not too big of a deal. We were left at the table for a little longer than appropriate, so I walked to the bar inside and asked for a server to attend. A server came soon after. The menu we were offered was NOT the menu on the website. This menu was much reduced. No vegan burger on offer. The dishes we ordered were chicken burger, smash burger, pork ribs, chicken wings, boudin balls, Texan smoked beef brisket, Cajun fries. Sides were Mac & cheese and fries included with some of the mains along with "greens". The chicken burger was nice. A large grilled chicken breast, tender & juicy, some cheese, salad leaves, bacon and a nice garlicy sauce on a large brioche bun. I liked it. The smash burger was described as really nice. The chicken wings also described as very nice. The pork ribs, while tasting good weren't as juicy as would have been liked. They are the positives. The Texas Smoked Brisket accompanied by Mac & Cheese and "greens" at €18 was a distant pale imitation of what it claimed to be. Three slices of beef lay, unadorned by any sauce, on a plate beside a small serving of uncooked, limp baby spinach and red chard, the type that comes in a plastic bag preprepared in your local supermarket, over which had been dripped a brown sauce/dressing. On my companion's plate this sauce was dribbled over the beef slices. The beef was NOT smoked, was dry and hard and devoid of any juices. Texan brisket it most certainly was not. Dreadful. No flavour and hard to eat. It was left on the plate. The Mac & Cheese was only ok. Pasta was cooked ok, but the cheese sauce needed seasoning. Some cheese was scattered on the top and not grilled as I would have preferred. The boudin balls, an arrancini type offering with beef brisket through the rice tasted ok. The crumb coating was over fried and too dark. Again, it was a little bland and under seasoned, but that could be my palate and the accompanying bowl of sauce was very nice. Fries were bog standard frozen fries, the Cajun version liberally dusted with a spice mix. Service was a bit sparse, we felt a somewhat neglected at times as we were out in the beer garden. The server was friendly if a little disinterested. When I complained about the beef brisket his response was that he would "tell the chef". The beer garden roof had a leak which dropped on to my head. There was heavy rain that evening, but to be cold and wet in a restaurant?? It was an occasional drip and I was able to reposition my seat to avoid. The bill, had the food been better, was reasonably inexpensive for Dublin city centre. But, apart from one or two exceptions, the food was not good, the response to complaints was not adequate, the seating area was not comfortable, the menu advertised was not available and we, the paying customers, left disappointed.
14/11/2025: Booked this place for a group of 14 with drinks and platters. Worked with João to book it and it was all smooth and everyone enjoyed it!

Greek Gyros

Dublin
06/11/2025: Had takeaway. The seating area seemed nice and clean, but wasn't in long enough to get a good feel for it. The food was good, but the order got messed up and we one dish was lost. Double checking the bag would've been a good idea.
22/10/2025: Lovely food plenty of it. Good service too.

Hansel and Gretel Bakery & Patisserie

Dublin
28/12/2025: Artisan bakery, the decor is lovely and the service is fast. The cookies were delicious.
24/09/2025: I've been staying a number of days at a hotel near Hansel and Gretel, and have found this great little bakery and coffee shop a convenient stop as I'm walking to various tourist sites. The pastries are freshly baked and very good, and the coffee (which may be supplied by a coffee shop chain called Ariosa) is very good. Unlike other nearby coffee shops, Hansel and Gretel has no seating either inside or outside. But if a takeaway cup of coffee and a pastry is your thing, this is a great choice.

Huck's

17/01/2026: It’s a nice environment to be in but a double Jameson and Coke was €17.80. Got to admit no warning of that was a bit of a sting Everyone one else enjoyed it though with just beers
05/09/2025: I like because it’s always open and the beer is here!
