The best restaurants in Dublin

01/03/2026: A humble chinese restaurant but a real gem in south dublin. If u r looking for a venue like i was for a family of 10 people, trying to impress ur in-laws and your young adult children in a Chinese restaurant, you know you got it right when the draft beer was fresh, wine delicious and the food menu has everyone s favourite and the service speedy. Here's what I ordered and all of them delicious: 1.Signature crispy roast duck 2.Crispy chilly chicken with salt and pepper 3.King prawns with corn and salt egg york 4.Seabass sweet and sour 5.razor fish with minced garlic 6. Twice cooked pork belly 7. Sizzling Beef with black bean sauce 9. Stir fried green veg 10. Stir fried aubergine and long beans 11. Chinese pork dumplings To add to our delight, the owner offered a huge complimentary fruit platter for our birthday occasion.

24/02/2026: Great Chinese food. I like seafood and meat. I can find what I like here. Steamed fish, boiled fish, ginger and scallion lobster, ginger and scallion shrimp, spicy stir-fried bamboo clams, and scallion oil snail slices are my favorites. Stir-fried lamb, cumin beef, mouth-watering chicken, and husband and wife lung slices are also great. There is a large parking lot downstairs, which is absolutely convenient. It is definitely right to come here for Chinese food. It is also a great place to eat between Dublin and Powerscourt.

23/03/2026: We didn't try the food; it was just okay for a few pints. We went in because it didn't look very crowded, but they had live music. The bar area isn't very big, and we ordered pints that were served in plastic cups... For me, that's a crime. The price was the usual, and the service was a bit slow. That's all.

23/07/2025: I have been going to this restaurant/wine bar since it opened. It has gotten better and better. The menu is always exceptional and ever changing. Its perfect for foodies, but the menu isn't pretentious and has so many gastro delights, it really is for everyone. The Staff are so nice and the music is perfect. However, I do agree with the other reviews that the pricing is a little higher, particularly on the entrees.

14/07/2025: The food is excellent. This restaurant is worthy of a gourmet restaurant. The waitresses were very patient despite our hesitations. While in Dublin, I hope to return to this establishment one day. Delicious desserts!!!

20/05/2025: Terrible and inconsistent service. Was there yesterday may 19th Monday. Amazing service with a smile. Came in today, Tuesday 20th of May an it couldn’t be worse. Young lady just miserable.

21/11/2025: Recently I ordered a salad, and it was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was so hard I couldn’t even bite it, and most of the box was just onions. There were only a few tomatoes and one very little of lettuce. That’s it. And they charged €6.50 for the box. There was basically nothing to eat it was really bad.

03/11/2025: My go to whenever I'm back in Dublin. Staff are always so friendly, real Dubs a heart of the community. I'm a scaldy Corkonian and introduced people in the area I stay with to go there for our cures when I visit after living around the corner. Always meet the standards of what you want with attention to detail, great value and service.

20/12/2025: Great burgers, sweet potato fries and onion rings! The free style machine is a plus if you are a fizzy drink lover

19/12/2025: Great burguer place, the best in the area for sure! The staff is also amazing and friendly, we became regulars now. Make sure to taste the onion rings and the shake!

04/12/2025: Really unsure how to say this, but the cheese they are using in the Christmas special, when melted, has the unmistakeable odour of ***. It was overwhelming. I don’t remember this smell being present in last years Christmas sandwich. I suggest that the chefs smell the creation when it’s heated.

01/12/2025: This cafe is a little gem in the heart of Rathmines. I had a beautiful salad there today, it was delicious. I regularly stop off for a coffee when I'm in Rathmines. The staff are so warm, friendly and helpful. 10/10

12/11/2025: Right next to the prestigious Trinity University is this unassuming café. Filled with students, researchers, the professor from the nearby university, you get the idea. So over the course of a cappuccino you can learn about the latest in space research or mathematics. All in the worst Stephen Hawking spirit. I had a ristretto and one was. Panini with cheese & ham. Perfetto! The coffee was as perfect as it can be, I have only had a sandwich as good in one place, namely café Sosta in Stockholm! Ambient jazz tones blared from the speakers, the rain was falling outside…

23/03/2026: Came here for food and drinks with some friends. The location and inside setting were really nice. Unfortunately we found the staff in general here lacked hospitality. One waitress actually really impeded negativity on our time here. Her attitude was not something we would come out to experience, and it was a shock to us that someone like this would work in hospitality.

13/03/2026: Went there for an Irish Whiskey tasting. The atmosphere is beautiful. Great place to sit and hang out with friends while having a pint.

30/08/2025: Came here for a family lunch, and I simply can’t fault a single thing. From the high quality food to the fantastic service, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Although slightly on the pricier side, it is well worth the investment. The cocktails were delicious. Thank you so much to the amazing staff for such a lovely meal. Will certainly be back!

11/01/2026: Great little gem out the back entrance of a wonderfully chaotic second hand bookshop. The cakes were delicious and the staff helped create a friendly atmosphere. Note: it’s better to enter through the bookshop over the strange back alley route.

23/12/2025: A truly special, tucked-away cafe with gorgeous cakes and scones and other treats baked on site. Food portions are large, hospitality is warm and generous, and it's a peaceful spot to spend an afternoon. Abundant courtyard seating (with heaters) for the warmly dressed (my first visit was in December). Highly recommended for people who want a Dublin oasis within an easy walk of Grafton/St. Stephen's/etc. Also of note: While the cafe has been in business for a couple of decades, it changed hands this year and the new owner, Julio, was on site, very warmly welcoming, and seems to have a happy staff working for him. UPDATE: Just noting after several more visits that my first impression has only cemented into a conviction that this is a world-class cafe and people who take the time to seek it out will leave feeling like the luckiest and best-liked customers who have ever visited.

22/03/2026: A good Italian restaurant. The first courses are well-made, the pasta cooked al dente, and the sauces aren't too spicy. The restaurant is spacious and the staff are friendly. Recommended.

22/03/2026: Missing the authenticity. Food was ok, service not too good. Neither service nor cooks are Italian at least did not even greet in Italian. Wines were sold out and they tried to sell us the most expensive. Upon claiming that they somehow „found“ another bottle of the requested. It was also very bright illuminated and not very cozy. Not what we are used to by an Italian restaurant.
