26/07/2026: Had dinner yesterday evening with my husband and the food and atmosphere was wonderful ☺️ A big thank you to our waiter tasos who was so helpful especially with our wine selection..definitely will be back 😀

25/07/2026: I am not sure if I was welcomed there. I went there at 9:15 PM on Friday and I was told the kitchen was closed already.

15/12/2025: We had a breakfast here for two days (Saturday and Sunday). Both days we really enjoyed the view. What surprised me is that both days I ordered the same, but I liked the sandwich as well as the hot chocolate more the first day. The second day I was a bit disappointed, it wasn’t the same. Even though, really nice staff and a lovely place to enjoy your meal. Santa sandwich for 9€ and hot chocolate for 4€.

10/12/2025: It's delicious, I was there for breakfast, there were not many visitors, but it's very atmospheric and cozy.

18/07/2026: Fabulous Gastro Pub. The food was lovely. I am still thinking about the mussels 💕 Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend.

11/07/2026: The staff were lovely, very accommodating. The service was good. And the food was really nice 👌 Nice comfortable atmosphere, you can definitely just chill out and relax here. I would recommend it. And I'd definitely dine here again!

14/07/2026: A nice place with ok food. I have been there twice and neither of those the times I was impressed by the food I had. This last time my pancakes were quite chewy and not particularly tasty.

03/07/2026: Such a lovely little cafe. Gotta come back for the delicious shakshuka which brings a taste of home. The avocado toast was good as well, and loved their chai and matcha latte. Staff is lovely 😍

25/06/2026: I love the sense of feeling the past and history of this hotel and also the fact that it is situated in the heart of the city. If you like traveling on foot, this hotel is for you as everything is just a walk away. The staff were very nice and accommodating, too. I booked this hotel via Expedia because of its location and because of the fact that it was listed as “shuttle to the airport included”. But unfortunately for me, that information was incorrect. Story short, instead of saving on shuttle to airport, €40 more added on top of the hotel stay. But hey, did that dampen the Dublin experience?! Not really. It would’ve been nice if Shane (front desk) offered me a complimentary breakfast as a cherry on top for that hiccup though. It would’ve been nice. (Smiling) Anyways, please be advised that the walls in this older buildings are thin, so if you’re a light sleeper, might want to consider using earplugs and/or a silent love-making. All in all, still a great place to stay if you’re looking for a great location and if they little things don’t really bother you. Thank you staff!

31/03/2026: I booked this place for 2 nights as a last minute change in plans. Check in was easy. Staff were very nice. location is perfect. The bar/restaurant is great. Room was nice cozy and not noisy. Would stay again.

02/05/2026: Excellent location. Friendly staff. Room was lovely, tidy and clean. Great value for money. Breakfast was served to your table refreshly made, tasted really nice. Would definitely stay again.

See my review below: The best breakfast / lunch restaurant in Monkstown bar none. Everything on the menu is delicious it’s so hard to choose. Super service too! I’m a regular and always will be. Highly recommend an early G&T.

06/12/2025: 3 stars max because the place is cosy and the coffee is good, but I wouldn’t return there for the brunch menu…branch menu is just average and not a good value for money.

09/08/2026: Where’s the fire? 🔥 Because clearly there was somewhere else we needed to be! The speed of service today was absolutely ridiculous. We were seated at 4:30pm, handed menus, and almost immediately someone was over taking our food order. No drinks menu. No water. No chance to actually sit down and settle in. Just “What are you having?” We placed our order and asked about wine, but still no drinks menu and still no water. Apparently, beverages and a little time to breathe were optional extras. Our starters arrived shortly afterwards. Both were tasty, to be fair, but I had barely finished chewing the last piece of bread before our mains appeared. The waiter stood there looking at us as though we were holding up the entire operation because our starter plates were still on the table. I asked for fresh cutlery for the main course, which seemed to be a completely outrageous request. The waiter even joked about it and appeared genuinely surprised that I wanted clean cutlery. Apparently, expecting fresh cutlery between courses is asking too much. At this point, we hadn’t even been in the restaurant 20 minutes. The mains were okay — nothing memorable and certainly nothing worth rushing through. We sat down at 4:30pm and had finished two courses before 5pm. I’ve had longer conversations with a vending machine. We did actually express our disappointment to the waiter. His response? If we wanted slower service, we should have said so. Really? We shouldn’t have to specifically request that our meal not be delivered at Formula 1 pit-stop speed. Surely the idea of dining out involves allowing customers enough time to actually enjoy each course. To his credit, the waiter did go and speak to the boss. Unfortunately, the boss appeared far too busy chatting to a friend to be remotely interested in what was happening with his customers. That pretty much summed up the entire experience. Normally, we would have ordered dessert and an espresso, but by that stage we simply wanted to leave. Ironically, once we were ready to go, the urgency mysteriously disappeared. The bill took around 15 minutes to arrive. So apparently there was time to relax after all — just not while we were actually trying to enjoy our meal. A meal should be an experience, not a race against the clock. The food was okay, but the service and attitude completely ruined the experience. There was no sense that anyone cared whether we were enjoying ourselves or not. Never again. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Save yourself the money — and the indigestion from having to inhale two courses in under 30 minutes. 🔥

04/08/2026: Excellent food, lovely staff and nice atmosphere. We hadn't got a reservation but a couple of tables were rearranged and so we were able to get in and had a great evening. Roast porchetta and the daily special of ravioli stuffed with squash and cheese in a pesto sauce were delicious - and big portions! Very good bread is delivered to the table as routine; more restaurants need to do this. Hope to be back.

30/07/2026: Although I have money to pay for my stuff, they followed me around every time I went there. Poor customer service. Today was the last straw. And they didn't even try to hide and the lady was standing there and checking me out. They profile people...

25/07/2026: When I'm in the city centre i usually shop here for the goodies I use periodically. Well laid out store and clean.

10/07/2026: Burgers are as they are everywhere. Very good cooked very well. Fries are great. This is the first five guys I’ve been to (only been to ~5) that had no peanuts. Disappointing as it is considered a trademark. Atmosphere is the biggest downside, noisy, not very clean, smells funny.

05/07/2026: The burger was okay, my sauce was forgotten, the fries were well-seasoned. Everything was thrown into a bag, even though I wanted to eat in.

24/07/2026: This place was recommended to me by my host, and it was actually very good! I tried an espresso martini and I have to say it was very well made. The waiter was very polite and we exchanged a few words with him.

29/04/2026: Went here on a recommendation and I was not disappointed we got the aranchini, nachos and wings the aranchini was lovely came with a nice light cheesy sauce, the nachos were fresh as were the toppings the chilli was more savory then spicy but was a great compliment to the dish the wings were delicious came out piping hot and so juicy good bit heat off the buffalo sauce but not to much. The staff that served us were lovely and friendly very attentive even thou its was a busy evening. I would recommend a visit based off of my experience there and I will definitely be back.

25/06/2026: Great pub with great service, plus the pizza place connected does one fo the best Pizzas in Dublin. The staff are always friendly and look after you well especially Linda and Ana who are just fantastic

30/04/2026: Just left the bar with my wife and my kids. A true Irish pub, nice beer, nice pizza a cheaper than the city center. One day we if we are back there, we are going without hesitation in this pub.

20/06/2026: 35 minutes for 2 bags of chips is jaw dropping, in the worst possible way. I might come back if a bomb hits Dublin and this chipper is the only source of food, but let's hope it doesn't come to that. The food wasn't worth waiting for either.

10/06/2026: All cooked fresh, you can't do better than that. Top chips and curry sauce.

30/07/2026: Not sure why this place is not rated higher tbh. Delicious burgers and wraps, plenty of room and great and fast service

29/07/2026: Food was to die for! Some disappointment with the taste and size of the margaritas. Loved the atmosphere! Definitely going back to try more on the menu!!

08/06/2026: Just to be clear, this is a nightclub with a hotel side hustle. We were greeted by a bouncer that asked us if we were “in the right area?”The entrance is in the nightclub vestibule, so we naturally looked out of place. After we clarified that we were staying at the hotel, he let us in. We then proceeded to be told by the Manager that our reservation did not exist, and that we could not be staying at the hotel because the entire hotel was closed due to renovations. I proceeded to show the manager our booking, confirmation, and our prepaid €800 bill. After this irrefutable evidence that we had booked a room months in advance, he then randomly “found” a room for us and let us through. Upon settling in our rooms we realized that there were no renovations at all, as well as other guests at the hotel. Our friends waited hours for extra sheets, neither of our rooms had coffee pods for the coffee machines in the room, and ours had a used pod in the machine. Coming back a day later from being out and about in Dublin our room keys no longer worked. The manager lied directly to our faces, for that sole reason I would not stay here under any circumstance.

15/05/2026: Went for a proper Irish breakfast and it dud not disappoint. Great atmosphere for a quiet coffee too.
