09/04/2025: Food is alright, but be prepared to wait 30 mins for your food only for the waiter to not believe that it is your order & just completely walk away from you to another table. Only then when the other table admit it isn’t their food does the waiter come back & give it to you just to whisper under her breath “enjoy”. I would have if it came a little quicker & she didn’t just walk away from me. Atmosphere is terrible weird people walking in & out of the shop to sit down. Highly disappointed

30/03/2025: Update: replying to restaurant response. You'rer not Ryanair - you can take criticism and learn from it. Telling everyone that isn't happy with your service to go to McDonald's won't help your business. Maybe listen to feedback and say sorry for missing food and move on. I am not the only review saving the same thing..... Disappointing experience. First off, the prices are exorbitant for what you get. The wait times are consistently unacceptable, and today was no exception. I ordered pulled chicken nachos and ended up waiting a full hour, only to find out that my main dish was missing! When I inquired about it, I was told it would take another hour for it to be prepared. This is baffling, especially since the pulled chicken is made ahead of time and nothing else in the dish requires extensive cooking. It doesn’t make sense that it would take that long, especially since I live only a 4 to 5-minute drive away. Overall, I’m very disappointed and won’t be returning. Save your time and money!

01/03/2025: If you want to eat food with Brazilian flavor and seasoning, there is no better restaurant than Sabor Nordestino, great atmosphere, wonderful service, it is definitely worth visiting.

01/04/2025: Barman is incredibly rude, was here for the afters of a funeral, me and my family were poorly treated the whole night. It's such a shame that one man with such a cheap on his shoulder can ruin a whole night. Management really need to have a long look at what they're doing.

01/04/2025: Totally agree with the review below about the change in ownership. Also been drinking & eating here for over 12 years, & regularly pop in on a Sunday for a pint & a roast. I will never be back under the current ownership & management. They’re appalling, utterly defensive, & take everything personally. I was there on Sunday evening with my older son. We sat at the bar at 7pm & ordered a roast beef & lasagne. After what we thought was 45 mins we still hadn't received our food. My son was getting very hungry & upset that it was taking so long. At no point did anyone update us. I asked at barman if he could check & he came back saying it would be just 5 more minutes, with no apology for the wait. I said I'd like to talk to the manager & when she came over I was met with a faux interest in what my issue might be, repeating it's "one of the busiest nights of the year" & my food would be out shortly. I thought they'd simply forgotten or lost the order, & she refused to accept that. She got the receipt which proved that it had been 36 mins since we'd ordered. I said it was brutal they hadn't updated us. She claimed she's "running two restaurants", including the old man's bar next door. I've drank here for 12 years & have never seen a hot meal in the bar next door. She then claimed they also had a staff shortage due to a mysterious "virus" or "bug", which was ironic on one of their busiest days of the year, & that there was already a small army of 20-something-year-olds on the floor. I asked her to consider before I paid the bill. Our meals arrived 2 mins later & the beef had clearly been under a kitchen heater lamp for some time, as the surface of it was completely dry & hardened. My son's "lasagne" was just layers of pasta with minimal beef in between, & he barely ate it. She asked was the food OK & I outlined it wasn't. She then said I was starting to shout, which was in no way the case, it was simply loud & I had to raise my voice a little so she could hear me. I again asked that she simply consider the service before we pay. When we finished, she came over (after I had to ask for her again) with the bill & & asked for the full amount for both meals, despite my son haven not eaten 60% of the “Pasta Sheets Sans Beef”. I said didn’t think the full amount was fair given the service and quality of the food, that I’d only like to pay for one. She refused. I said I’d like a beer I drank to at least be discounted, and she refused, only for me to recall I’d already paid for that separately. She refused any discount whatsoever. I said I'd been a customer for 12 years, spend c€1000 a year & would never come back if she wouldn't please reconsider. She refused again. I then said I was going to write this review. She replied I was "going to ruin a family run business" by doing so. I said one review wouldn’t do that if it was actually viable business. When I repeated I was going to write the negative review she then accused me of "threatening" her, personally. I was at pains to explain to this, seemingly quite inexperienced “manager”, that saying I’m going to write a negative review of a hospitality business for poor service and poor quality food was in no way a person threat, it was just a fact. I tried to pay with one card, but it didn't work. I stood up to get my wallet & before I could she accused me of theft if I left without paying! I paid, laughed, & left. I will not be back again under that management. For there to be no recognition whatsoever that I had a legitimate grievance about the service and food, to only be defensive, & then to react personally, without an offer of any discount, is appalling. The service provided was indicative of the inexperience of hospitality staff since the pandemic. They assume your money is theirs by the mere fact you’ve entered the establishment, & any expression of dissatisfaction is met with a) complete defensive/disdain, b) claiming you're being aggressive, and then c) being personally offended. The sooner the manager here learns a lesson, the better. But I'm not paying for it.

18/03/2025: The hotel it self is in a good location, but everything else was awful. I am a 21 year old girl that travelled to Dublin with three of my other friends. After a long day, I arrived at the hotel around 3 am and tried to gain access to the room. I had not been there to check in with my friends so my name was not on the room. Even with a room key, the security guard forcefully put his hands on me and threw me out of the hotel. I had to flag down police officers to let me into my hotel room. The police were arguing with the man to let me up into my room which I had proof I had paid for the exact room I was in.The police went up to the room and the security guard opened the door and entered the room without my two friends sleeping in there beds permission. The next day, the same man refused to serve me a bottle of water before I headed up to my room. He then had the front desk man follow me up to my room and while in a towel alone, they entered the room to check the amount of people in the room. Just because my name wasn't on the reservation, the room was for three people and there were only three people in the room the whole weekend. I have never had someone put there hands on me and treat me the way I was treated. I will never recommend this place to any young travelers.

19/03/2025: Consistent and comfy all year round. Dark interior in tasteful. Love the front shop and tge way it blends into the cafe. It's just nice.

28/05/2024: Loved everything about this place on our final night in Dublin. The early evening menu is decent value and they have vegetarian dishes that are of a very high standard. My wife and I enjoyed all 3 courses and the creme brulee was the perfect end to the evening. If and when we return to Dublin, this works be top of my list of places to return to. Lovely pint of Guinness too.

10/10/2024: Devastated to say after five years of just loving this place, I passed by last night and it has permanently closed. What a great crew and super neighbourhood restaurant. Gutted. It seems increasingly impossible to run a business in Dublin due to runaway costs.

Plato de pasta de cangrejo y gambas que era fantástico mientras que mi esposa tenía pollo que era suculento. Los precios son muy justos y no desorbitados. Esta es una joya de un restaurante que hace todo bien con un gran servicio y excelente comida. Chef podría ganar Masterchef. Volveremos pronto. Muy, muy recomendable.

15/03/2025: I just stopped by here today 15/03/2025 to meet a relative. We had a few beers but nothing to eat. Pleasant bar staff. Nice quaint interior. Toilets were spotless. Just one problem the head on the second and third pint of Guinness was too big. Overall a good pub to visit.

I work with customers, and there are stressful moments, but you take your time and do the best you can. The place is nice, clean, and well-decorated, the drinks are good, and the food is average.
