The best restaurants in Dublin

16/04/2025: Another 5 star from me just because the food and friendliness is so consistent. Doesn't look like much from the outside but fresh, delicious and reasonably priced food awaits within.

09/06/2025: Solo drinkers not welcome. I went to Slattery's on my own on a Sunday night. Ordered a very expensive pint of Guinness, found the only free table and sat down. I was then quickly approached by a waitress, and told this is a table for 4, you can't sit there, you'll have to move. I explained it was the only free seat, where else was I meant to sit? It didn't matter, she wanted to me move right away. If Slattery's was a restaurant that would be fair enough, but it's a pub. There were no condiments, or place settings at the table, only beer mats, so it wasn't set up for food. It was only when I asked for the manager that I was left alone. I've been to lots of pubs and I've never come across this. If i was being offered a different seat, at the bar for example I would've moved, but I was being asked to move with nowhere to move to. You see plenty of solo people in bars around Dublin. They might be using to pub to get out of the house, maybe to have some company or for various mental health reasons. These people aren't welcome in Slattery's, they only one large tables of tourists!

22/05/2025: Dear Sirs, We would like to share our visit to your pub today. We have been regular customers for many years and have returned many times with satisfaction. Unfortunately, today's experience was extremely disappointing. The dishes ordered left much to be desired: Half a duck looked more like a few random scraps of meat - definitely not a portion that could be considered "half a duck". The chicken curry had neither a distinctive taste nor a proper main ingredient - the chicken content was limited to three small pieces, the rest was mainly red onion. The rice was dry and the sauce looked and tasted reheated. Mammas burger - after a 45 minute wait we received a burnt bun with an unspecified content. The dish was returned. After another 25 minutes the burger was served in a cold bun with overly salted chips. We had to send this dish back too. On top of all this, there was terrible service – no response, long waiting times and a sense of complete chaos. We regret to say that this experience has completely discouraged us from future visits, despite many years of loyalty to the establishment. We hope to draw conclusions and improve the quality – both of the food and the service. Yours sincerely. Customer.

11/05/2025: Good restaurant, the atmosphere is nice and the food is good for a fair price. Friday evening was sold out but we were put on a waiting list and called back 25 minutes later. The nachos to share were very good, the pizza and burger were good too. Good value for money. The restaurant closed on Mondays unless there is a concert because it is located opposite the 3arena concert hall. It's very noisy.

15/05/2025: Called in today to get a take away coffee, I'm in here regularly, I went to use the bathroom first and manager called after me loudly excuse me excuse me, she then proceeded to inform me I shouldn't be using the toilets. I told her I intended to buy a coffee afterwards . I decided then with that attitude I would rather go to javaholics and buy their coffee and be served with a good attitude.

14/05/2025: Today I had an uncomfortable and rude experience in Kennedys, where I was treated differently from other customers for no apparent reason. Used to like coming here but not a fan of leaving a café upset when I'm only ever friendly and always tip. Staff should be trained on treating all customers equally and with respect. I don't know the staff member's name, as there are no name badges, but she is about late 20s and tall with dark hair and eyes.

04/06/2025: So rare to find a chipper that properly understands the phrase "plenty of vinegar please". Beautiful bag of chips 10/10.

18/05/2025: Good food at a good price, it's a place to order and eat somewhere else so there are no tables to eat in the place, they also have a number for home delivery, the service was very good, they explained some foods on the menu to me

12/06/2025: The food is delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant and the service is very good, I recommend the afternoon tea, it has a selection of incredible cakes, this cafe is a hidden gem.
