05/07/2024: Just fell in love with this tiny venue with a huge soul. The food was humble and delicious; owners funny and delightful. Worth waiting for. Thank you!!

05/07/2024: Had the weirdest experience where despite waiting in line, owner gave us a lecture about showing up with 6 people. We offered to split up and then he said we “stressed them out.” Then went on for another several minutes about how they couldn’t accommodate dietary restrictions. Weirdest passive aggressive messaging of “you can’t eat here” while also explicitly saying “don’t leave” every time we offered to. Most of our group ended up walking away and the two who stayed had a good experience. TLDR: if you’re a tourist don’t show up in groups of more than 2 or draw attention to yourself in line in anyway and you’ll be fine.

05/01/2025: We recently visited this charming pub in the heart of Dublin - Temple Bar, and it was an absolute delight. The bar has a unique style that blends very well with traditional Irish elements, creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was exceptional—full of flavour. If you enjoy tomato soup, I highly recommend giving it a try! The music added to the overall ambience, creating a lively yet relaxed setting that made the experience feel extra special. I have to say, the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel at home. Their warmth, great attitude, and constant smiles elevated the entire experience. This pub is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy great food, excellent music, and top-tier hospitality in Dublin. I’ll definitely be returning!

29/12/2024: We enjoyed our stay with a cheese platter, seafood paella and two very good red wines from Spain and Portugal. The service was very friendly and the location is very atmospheric and cosy

27/12/2024: Patatas aioli, goats cheese salad, chicken wings, portions have shrunk drastically since I was here last and the price does not reflect this. Before we would share the patatas, one is hardly enough now for one. My portion had 7 potatoes cubes, I would say 1.5 potato's for €7.50 😲 Staff were lovely.

25/11/2024: The staff doesn't allow you to take liquid or even water bottle to the hall. They mentioned that we get water for free but in reality we had to pay for it. Plus they charge to keep the bags/belongings. It doesn't feel right after paying the ticket price. Seating is okay, staff is polite.

13/12/2024: Love the pizza here and the staff were lovely but we preordered pizza for 7pm and didn’t get it until 7:20. If they offer a preorder option it should be a functional system.

11/12/2024: Came with 10 people for a quick desert at 20:45, the place closes at 21:30. We were denied service, because the staff is too lazy to respect the working times and cuts down to start the cleaning early. Unprofessional. The food is good.

11/12/2024: Please note that working hours mentioned are not correct. At Tuesday evening at 8.45pm we were group of 10 people arriving at restaurant without prior reservation and we wanted only deserts. Also we said that wanted to be there for 30 minutes only, which is for desert enough (and that is 15 minutes before their closing time). We were rejected because staff started with tables cleaning and closing the area. Very disappointed with restaurant politics and against working hours mentioned.

04/12/2024: It was our first time in Galway city and since we travel with a small dog, that is too spoilt to be left in any kennel, we were quite limited in our dining in choices. We found Galway to be very welcoming but this place deserves a special praise. Absolutely lovely cafe near the main street, welcoming and warm. It has a great selection of breakfast options, offers generous portions and a very good coffee. I would highly recommend this place.

22/11/2024: The first time I visited Food For Thought in Galway, I was impressed by their amazing coffee. I enjoyed it so much that I went back later the same day to try different flavors. Their pumpkin spice latte and white chocolate drinks are definitely worth trying. A few days later, I returned with my Irish husband (I’m American) and ordered the pumpkin spice latte again. While waiting for my drink, a woman asked me if I was in line. I politely responded, “No, just waiting.” Then, to my surprise, one of the workers told her, “You can skip the tourist,” to which she replied, “Yes, you serve us first.” The comment felt incredibly rude and made me not want to return. Just because I have an American accent doesn’t mean I’m a tourist—I actually live in Galway with my husband. This experience left me upset. It’s never safe to assume someone’s status, and even if the worker meant it as a joke, it was unprofessional and hurtful. Galway thrives on tourism, and I would never disrespect anyone like that. While their drinks are fantastic, I can’t see myself going back after this experience. If you do visit, their coffee is excellent, and some of the staff are thoughtful and kind. However, be mindful of how you’re treated. For me, that one comment ruined what had been a great experience.

24/10/2024: Such a gem in the middle of the chaos that is Camden street! The decoration is super cozy and demure 💅 All staff is friendly and helpful, I even got a taste of a new cocktail that the bartender (Gregg) created and was delicious! The bouncer, Lee, was so kind and thoughtful and even gave us recommendations to continue our night. He welcomed us with a smile, such a big difference with other bouncers around the surrounding pubs! We came another night and live music was on, Pedro is a fantastic singer and so talented! Great spot for casual drinks and chatter and we would definelty come back, super well recommended!

02/01/2025: Popped in for a coffee before heading to the park. Everyone was friendly and got the coffee & tea quickly before heading on our way.

29/12/2024: In general I only go for a cup of mocha, but it's always a nice atmosphere, they allow dogs to enter and have treats for them. They offer many varieties of coffee and utensils for its preparation.

16/12/2024: A great little café perfect for breakfast, lunch, reading or doing a bit of remote work. With a fully vegetarian menu and vegan options, you are spoiled for choice - even if you like meat. Additionally, there are good coffee and tasty pastries on offer, all set in a homely atmosphere. It's always a pleasure spending some time here!
