23/08/2025: Anytime I get to visit Dalkey, I head to Pepperlaine for the best cappuccino and tasty treat to fuel me up for the day browsing around this lively village. I’m looking forward to popping in over the Lobster festival for my caffeine fix and the chance to pick up a great locally sourced gift for an upcoming birthday while I’m there.

27/02/2026: The meat at Five Guys was extremely overcooked, dry, and completely lacking seasoning and salt. It had very little flavor and was honestly disappointing. The service was not very good either, the staff didn’t seem attentive or particularly friendly, which made the overall experience even worse. I expected much better quality and service.

24/03/2026: Bad Ass Cafe is a true Temple Bar institution since 1983! Great pizzas, burgers and hearty food, cold drinks, and fantastic live music every night. The vibrant, fun atmosphere with a lively crowd makes it perfect for a casual meal or night out right in the heart of the action. A must-visit Dublin classic! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

23/03/2026: Really nice local which offered us great views and entertainment during St.Patrick's Day. Everyone there was having the time of their life. One thing I would add, is I didn't appreciate the lady in the ladies bathroom, setting up shop and profiting from other people's misfortune. With no sanitary vending machines I was forced to pay 5 euros for 1 sanitary product.

25/09/2025: Great atmosphere, lovely seaside views of Dublin Bay, and a pleasant village. The Carraig Blackrock is excellent!

02/03/2026: Grab a poke bowl for on the go. Food is nice enough to go again. I enjoyed mine, the daughter found it average. We both ordered the salmon. Im coeliac and the staff (although lovely) didnt know anything about it. Luckily, they have the allergins on the wall. Its a quaint food stall in the Blackrock Market laneway. No parking nearby.

15/03/2026: One of the best bars I have ever been to, great live music. The atmosphere is great, and the drinks too.

12/03/2026: I went there for a really fun game of pool, accessible to minors until 6 pm, but unfortunately they only take €2 coins and the exchange machines only accept €10 or €20 bills.

12/02/2026: Great small, cute pub with a proper old‑school feel. They’re still doing €6 pints, and they pour them properly. Don’t be misguided by the photos online though. Those big, spacious rooms you might see are only for private events. The actual pub itself is tiny and cozy.

09/09/2025: The food is good and healthy, BUT EVERYTHING IS DISPOSABLE! The plates, the cutlery, the glasses… where's the sustainability? The amount of packaging that could be saved every day.

21/03/2026: Sorry guys, but that was impossible to eat overfryed chips and fish. Honestly the worst experience, went to the bin. Location means a lot- you can sell bed quality food to the the tourists

21/03/2026: Queued ages for fish and chips at Dún Laoghaire pier and it wasn’t worth it at all. Overburned panko fish, small portion, and tasted like ready fish you can get from Tesco. Chips with seaweed salt were overpowering and to salty. No fork, no bin — awkward to eat. €15 is a joke when proper fish and chips nearby cost only a bit more. Overrated, wouldn’t return.

01/03/2026: I went to Riot with my boyfriend recently, and we had a very upsetting experience. We actually go there frequently, so this situation was even more surprising and disappointing for us. When we arrived, the security guard refused to let us in and said he didn’t know us. This didn’t make sense, as we are regular customers and have never had any issues before. Just a few seconds later, other people — white guys — were allowed to enter without any problem. It was very difficult not to feel that we were being treated differently. We don’t understand the reason for denying us entry, and the situation left us feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed, and unwelcome. It honestly made us question whether race played a role in what happened. We hope management takes this seriously and looks into the matter, because loyal customers should not be treated this way.

17/11/2025: Good pub, would recommend for a quiet solo pint. Manager has gone very corporate lately. Like a 2010s DJ he used to be cool now he’s pandering to the masses. Do I like the guy? Yes I do. Am I happy with him at the moment? No I’m not. Am I the best looking guy in Rathgar? Yes I am.

16/11/2025: Always order from here for years! Amazing food always, always hot when delivered and delivery is fast. Chicken fried rice is too good. Just hope they add vegetables to it like years ago!
