20/05/2025: Terrible and inconsistent service. Was there yesterday may 19th Monday. Amazing service with a smile. Came in today, Tuesday 20th of May an it couldn’t be worse. Young lady just miserable.

12/04/2026: The food is just okay, fine when you're hungry and fancy something. It's not the best burger in Dublin by any means, nor the worst, it's just alright. The price is reasonable compared to the rest of the city, and it even has a nice view of the river.

19/04/2026: Avoid this place. I ordered the vegan burger and got a real meat burger instead. I realised after I had taken a bite and looked into the burger bun to see real bacon and real beef inside- it was unmistakable. I haven’t eaten meat for many many years and I found it upsetting. I tried asking the waiter to come to our table but by the time she did, the rest of my group had finished their meals. I explained what happened, and received no apology and the waitress was completely indifferent. I was offered another meal but I didn’t have time to wait. To top it off, she made me pay for ‘extra bacon’ on the burger that was meant to be on one of the group’s burgers but it was clearly on mine instead. I tried to reason with the waitress that I literally don’t eat meat and the other person eating a burger at the table never got bacon on hers, but she shrugged her shoulders and refused to change the bill. I was under time pressure so I paid and left. I have never received such poor service, food and attitude in a restaurant before. Please avoid.

12/04/2026: Popped in at lunchtime for lunch. Service was very quick. I had the roast of the day- turkey roast dinner. See pic. A huge portion. I managed to eat most of it. And it was excellenrt. 2 pints of guinness to accompany the meal (€7.10 a pint) I've been back a few times since. All round great pub

10/03/2026: Come here for coffee sometimes, love the coffee here and how it is served Italian style. Pleasant staff too.

01/02/2026: Lovely evening in L'Oficina on Friday. Pleasant atmosphere and a very attentive, hospitable waiter in Umberto. I had the balanzoni pasta with a basil pesto and toasted hazelnut. It was beautiful. Good selection of wines also. My friend and I were the last to leave but nobody put pressure on us to leave and we felt welcome until we walked out the door. I look forward to more visits to this restaurant.

11/01/2026: My experience is in relation to Avoca, not this store specifically. I ordered a Christmas hamper online and it never arrived. I have emailed three times, tried chat support, and tried calling multiple times and left a voicemail with head office explaining the situation and asking them to ring me. No one has responded to me and it is now 3 weeks since my order (I paid extra for 1-2 day delivery).

29/12/2025: Avoca restaurant has changed a lot since changing ownership. The menu is very disappointing. The food we ordered was just ok. Limp Caesar salad was the lowlight along with seafood spice bag. Would not recommend. Even the tea and coffee’s were disappointing. Will not be returning.

20/04/2026: It’s been almost a year since my last visit, and both the food and the staff are still excellent. My favorite is definitely Malatang—a Chinese dish where you can mix in all your favorite ingredients!

27/03/2026: Waited to make this but decided to in the end. Used to live close by, always liked the place and the food. Moved a bit away, and ordered on JustEat, delivery option and order accepted no issue. Delivery fee a bit high, but I get it. After an hour, delivery driver comes by. Clearly unhappy, he asks why I ordered from so far away. This was like a 10 minute drive, if that matters. I explained I liked the place when I lived nearby. Dropping off my food to me, he said he hopes I don't order there again. Really bothered me - my order was accepted by the restaurant and I paid a delivery fee. Why on earth should I take snark from the Delivery Driver for it? I like the place for the food, but with that driver? No thanks, not again.

20/04/2026: They make pizzas that are nice to eat, if you understand what I mean. One of the best pizza restaurants in Dublin in my opinion.
