24/08/2026: I’m kind of resident of IFI (going there once or twice a week) so probably biased. For true cinema lovers. Three screens. Good crowd and atmosphere. Screen 3 little bit shabby, armchairs are not comfortable, little space for legs so sometimes it feels like being on Ryanair flight.

18/07/2026: Used to work just up the road from brides and was a regular visitor. The girls were great and the food is excellent. Sets you up for the day, highly recommended. I miss the place.

02/03/2026: I was seated and then left waiting for 20 minutes before anyone bothered to take my order. When the waitress finally came, she rushed through it and didn’t even ask about drinks. The starter arrived after 15 minutes, and the main course showed up 40 minutes later. The service was a disaster from start to finish — inattentive, rushed, and unprofessional. I eventually got up and left. Definitely not coming back.

13/09/2026: Please clean the base where you cook the chicken. There were so many black bits from the surface of the stove. The food is normally good but recently the quality has gone down!

22/08/2026: We ate here today, we had the Lobster roll and the beef burger, The Lobster roll was not great, it had more prawns in it than Lobster, and it had really cheap Marie rose sauce, which does not go very well with Lobster. The burger was ok. All in all, would not go back there, felt a little taken to the cleaners, as the price for just two meals and three drinks, one Aperol Spritz, white wine and a Fanta, which alone was 4.40 was extortionit. Over 80 euros. And to top it all off the waiter put his 10 per cent tip just to add the cherry on top. Unbelievable. We then went up the road to the bar called Finegan's and had some seafood chowder, which was a reasonable price.

28/08/2026: Brindle has been a staple in my life since I moved to Portobello. The staff are the best part; they take every opportunity to get to know you, whether you're in for a delightful morning coffee or a glass of wine later on. The sandwiches are delicious, and there's a great range of non-alcoholic options (the kombucha cans are a lifesaver when it's too late for coffee and too early for wine). It's also a great spot to meet friends. The front is deceiving — there's a lovely back space that's perfect for settling in over coffee or wine. One thing worth stating plainly: on the surface, the coffee might look a bit pricey, but Brindle does not charge extra for non-dairy milk. Most places tack on 30–50c for a non-dairy alternative, and that adds up. Once you factor it in, the pricing is completely fair. The actual best part, though? Obviously the dog clients.

17/08/2026: Brindle has genuinely become one of my favourite places in Dublin — and, according to Nelly, she’s the one who brings me here every day. She absolutely loves this place because everyone treats her so well and, of course, she gets her little treats. At this point, she basically guides me here on our daily walk. I’m pretty sure she knows exactly where we’re going long before I do. I come here almost every day for coffee, and I also buy my beans here. They have different coffees from all over the world and grind them for me, which is such a lovely touch. They also have a great selection of wine and Irish products. I especially love how Brindle supports local artists, designers and makers. They have candles and other products from local people, so you’re always discovering something new and supporting small businesses at the same time. They also have a really lovely indoor space where you can host events and bring people together, which I think is such a nice part of what they’ve created. And the people are just genuinely so nice, which makes coming here every day even better. A very special little local — loved by me, but apparently even more loved by Nelly.

27/07/2026: Best place to enjoy your brunch! Highly recommend the farmhouse chicken sourdough! There's both outdoor and indoor seating. Super friendly and warm staff. The barista is the sweetest and knows his coffee too well! By far the BEST coffee I had in Dublin. I also bought the coffee beans after chatting with the barista here. Must Visit!!

03/07/2026: Got a flat white there today and I can say with confidence, that is the worst coffee I have had in this town. Bitter, watery, and at a max, there was 150ml of liquid in there. Very disappointing.

05/08/2026: Stopped here for lunch while doing Dodder walk with my husband. A lovely spot, great fresh food, interesting menu, great service. Would highly recommend

09/08/2026: Sounds pretentious to say "elevated pub food" but try their fish and chips and see if you don't agree. In addition to the regular list of beers and whiskeys they've got a good selection of wines as well. Carlos and company are fantastic hosts and the outdoor seating in back is a bonus. A great addition to the neighborhood.

06/09/2026: Very recommended to pick the Chef’s sunday surprise menu. It’s 49 euros but the variety, the quantity and the quality it’s outstanding.
